How exciting!:)

Interesting that the Tree of Life "shows" and the 2 street parties aren't "advertised".

Interesting that the Tree of Life "shows" and the 2 street parties aren't "advertised".

The stuff I watched on the tree and the news/blog coverage seemed to make a big deal that the tree of life was random on when/what and not a show so I'm not surprised to not see it so people don't gather. (I can't wait to hear craigs language on what it took to record them from all different views of the tree :)). I'm not really surprised this is missing to not confuse anyone the rest of the week.

Isn't the one street party starting on the 27th should be the the upper right, burudika.. Harambe Acrobats I think is the second one. Neither have many daytime hours starting friday. I wonder what they will be long term and if we're actually going to see less during the day.

The two new street parties are the Discovery Island Carnivale and the Harambe Wildlife Parti, at least that is what has been advertised. I don't see either listed.

This is great!
Does anyone know what characters are included in CANINE PALS?

I agree with you. They left out the Tree of Life awakening so it happens as a "surprise" even though I'm sure it will have a set schedule
I also agree about the street parties
Africa has Harambe Village Acrobat 7pm, 8:05pm, 9:20pm
Burudika 7:30pm, 8:50pm, 9:45pm
and the Harambe Soccer Meerkats and Karibu sisters will probably be performing between sets or in other parts of Africa

Discovery Island's party is provided by Via Gaia 3:45pm, 4:25pm, 5:15pm
Revel in the beauty and harmony of all living things during a jubilant jamboree inspired by Carnival celebrations around the world.

In late afternoon when the sun is beginning its descent
at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, listen for the distinctive drumming of Latin and world-beat rhythms as they fill the air around Discovery Island—that’s when the Discovery Island Carnivale, an exuberant dance party to end the day and welcome the night, begins.

The Viva Gaia Street Band! and a spirited group of Islanders welcome you to a larger-then-life gala celebrating the wonder and beauty of nature and who we are together—the “Nature Family.” Bursting with cheerful music and spectacular costumes that take inspiration from the living creatures of the air, land and sea, this seemingly spontaneous, free-spirited jubilee winds its way from one end of Discovery Island to the other, eventually arriving at the Discovery Island stage where the exhilarating festivities get into full swing.

Over the course of several hours, the unflinching beauty of nature is on dazzling display. Clap your hands, dance, laugh and experience unbridled joy into the evening—the pulsating bass, lively beats and playfully outlandish outfits inspiring all around to join in the high-energy excitement. Watch as one of the Island virtuoso musicians takes to the stage to play the Paraguayan harp, as if calling upon the animal spirits within the Tree of Life.

Yes,looks like Disney just decided not to list the 2 Street Parties by name.:)

I'm really looking forward to Discovery Island Carnivale!(I'm thinking the 15s are really going to love it also!lol:))

Looks like the Jungle Book show is only on Saturday. Is that correct?
Yes,although there has been some "talk" of a surprise show Friday-I doubt it will happen, but you never know.

Overnight rehearsals are Monday through Thursday,so that would leave Friday as a possibility, but they probably have Friday scheduled as a "rest" day before the big debut Saturday.:)

I'm surprised that the 2 animal trails, Gorilla Falls and the Jungle Trail in Asia, are not on the Special Hours list. I hadn't heard anything about them staying open past sunset.

SO excited for AK next month! I'm thinking it's going to be one of the highlights of our trip.

My contact in Imagineering says they'll close at sunset. I'm guessing this was just an oversight in the printing. (That was actually the first thing I looked for when I saw the TG.)

Beautiful reproduction, by the way - doesn't look like someone just stuck the page in a scanner.

That's because it comes from HERE.

The site (orlandoparksnews.com) appears to have access to the original Disney digital files.

I would hope they'd have a "blurb" about the Tree of Life awakening on the maps -- not with times, but at least highlighting it so people not already "in the know" can at least be on the lookout.

Wow, that's a terrific resource. Both for the current guide, *and* the option to go back a ways.

Yes,it comes from Orlando Theme Park News.

You'll notice I put "(Courtesy of OTPN)" above the Times Guide when I posted it.

They do an awesome job of posting the Times Guides for the 4 Parks as well as Disney Springs every Sunday.:)

I agree.

It wouldn't surprise me if,in next weeks DAK Times Guide(the first full week of the "new" DAK),they do mention the Tree of Life "shows" as well as Discovery Island Carnivale and Harambe Wildlife Parti.:)

The AK Carnivale is about 1000x less...scantily clad than the Brazilian Carnivale.

I'm really excited for the "new" DAK as well!:)

It has always been the most beautiful of the 4 Parks "After Dark" IMHO,so it is so awesome that Guests will now get to enjoy it EVERY night!

And when Avatarland opens, that will take it to a whole new level!:)
