I am obsessedHere Maui is celebrating his victory of bringing us the sun and the moon.
Wow! Just wow!Thinking something like this for the centerpiece item on the front of the jersey. I'll add some curves and definition to it once I start putting all the pieces together. Here Maui is celebrating his victory of bringing us the sun and the moon.

Wow! Just wow!
Just wow. Well doneAfter two days of fighting with my heat press, the graphics are all applied to the backs of my shirts. AND I finally got to test all my Marathon costume pieces together with all the layers. I'm definitely going to need to line them up in order to get them on right, but the good news is, I'm not dying of heat stroke with it all on and nothing really moves around during run/walk intervals. YAY!
Here's how I'll start, as Disgust/Minnie:

I ended up using a white shirt for the graphics since I was doing infusible ink and not vinyl. I like how this turned out!

The "problem" is that I really love the bits I will need to discard (especially the wig), so I'm debating whether to make the switch at the Contemporary, where DH will be, if I want to make him navigate Main Street for the hand-off, or if I want to carry a grocery bag and dump it all off to him at GF. Still considering.
Once I do change, here's Joy/Mickey. I'm getting a fresh application of blue on my hair on Tuesday so it'll be BRIGHT for the Marathon!:

The back didn't cooperate as well with the colors melding into the green/yellow a bit, so I ended up doing a few additional layers and got a bit of ghosting, but it isn't super noticeable (so says DH -- he may just be tired of me cursing at the heat press):

I have one last test run to do with all the Sadness/Dale bits, but I'm nearly ready to pack it all up! As always, comments, questions and suggestions are WELCOME.
I thought I did some moderately clever costuming last year, but nowhere close to the levels you guys are doing. [does “I’m not worthy” motions]Posting my "Flat Me" costumes for this race weekend.
I always knew if I did Dopey again, I'd want to theme each costume after a different park. I ended up furthering the theme by doing my favorite attraction from each park. Say hi if you see me during any of the races!

I’m also tentatively doing Joy for springtime’s 5K got a yellow old navy running dress on clearance back in October it was a little snug so pending I make losses for it to fit better plan is to hand detail it with fabric markers either wear a blue wig/visor and depending how ambitious I get either having my mom crochet a core memory ball of carrying a small beach ball …I got my custom-printed dress for Springtime Surprise: Joy! I haven’t decided which race this will be for yet. I will have several props: a large core memory ball, and a mesh bag of smaller core memory balls, all of them will light up.
Haha—I meant to add a picture of the dress

I was thinking about that, but for the smaller balls, I want to have core memories of various emotions, and I don’t really have pictures representing memories of “negative” emotions. But the big memory ball will be a happy memory (since I’m Joy) so I could easily find a happy picture. All of the balls will be plastic ornaments that I’ll coat the inside with acrylic paint and have remote-controlled tea lights (and crumpled plastic wrap to keep the tea lights from bouncing around). The big ball is a giant plastic ornament and will have a ball of plastic wrap wrapped in remote-controlled fairy lights. How are you making the core memory balls? Could you print a personal translucent picture and put it inside the ball to display your own core memories? With them lighted up you could see your own core memories inside them.
Aw I love that you included G’s name! Here's the final art
I’m going to be Merida for princess weekend, but I’m trying to figure out what bow and arrow to get. Would they accept one of the ones they sell, (like the Hawkeye one) or is that too large? Thanks in advance yall!
Thank you!!I found a few images of others running as Merida in runDisney races shared on their Twitter (so presumably they're fine with their choice of bow and arrow).
I'd say as long as it is not intrusive to other runners and you don't fire it on course, then you'll probably be safe. But we're always up to the whims of them when we arrive so always be ready to have to ditch something if they say so. But you'll probably be fine.
