Just wanted to say that for anyone who didn't get the reservation that they wanted or weren't able to make reservations at all, there is always going to be cancellations and changes in itineraries. And so don't give up! Once BOG reservations go online, keep checking! I'm sure some people who made multiple reservations will cancel some of those reservations. And I'm sure there were some system errors due to the overload of calls and automated reservations. Don't give up! Keep calling and once it goes online, keep checking until you find it! Good luck!

OMG, I was asleep at the wheel! I had August 28 on my calendar to make a reservation. Eeek! I need to call first thing tomorrow.

Thing is I got distracted yesterday. I checked my waitlist for BC for Dec 31 and it came through. I wasn't expecting that till about November. Here's hoping for pixie dust!

Just a thought but if they opened phone reservations yesterday and online tomorrow, do you think there is any chance that they held some reservations to make available for the online tomorrow? I know this was a really hyped restaurant but it's also HUGE and I just can't believe an entire month sold out in one day. That a LOT of reservations. Just wonder if maybe a portion of them were not released?? I also think it's weird how some people are reporting that they got through at 10 and it was sold out, others got through at 10 and had thier pick and still others got through at 2 and got a ressie. I know different dates and all but some maybe not. Just a thought.

how many thousands of people are on the boards here and elsewhere? and how many reservations can they handle per night? I have no trouble believing they are booked but hope there is something for everyone.

phew, my ressie is still there and didn't fall off at midnight. I had to call to add my CC# and was a little worried. But then later I read that only those booked yesterday without a CC# would be ok. ??? What a mess yesterday. Because of that mishap with the CC#, they probably got double calls with people trying to add that number after they booked the automated system.

It better be worth it

phew, my ressie is still there and didn't fall off at midnight. I had to call to add my CC# and was a little worried. But then later I read that only those booked yesterday without a CC# would be ok. ??? What a mess yesterday. Because of that mishap with the CC#, they probably got double calls with people trying to add that number after they booked the automated system.

Just a thought but if they opened phone reservations yesterday and online tomorrow, do you think there is any chance that they held some reservations to make available for the online tomorrow? I know this was a really hyped restaurant but it's also HUGE and I just can't believe an entire month sold out in one day. That a LOT of reservations. Just wonder if maybe a portion of them were not released?? I also think it's weird how some people are reporting that they got through at 10 and it was sold out, others got through at 10 and had thier pick and still others got through at 2 and got a ressie. I know different dates and all but some maybe not. Just a thought.

I hope you all get a reservation tomorrow!!

Keep in mind they re only seating from 4 to 5:30 on party nights, which are 4 nights a week until 12/21. That contributed to the madness. But honestly, those dates would have still sold out.

Hi ladies! I've been lurking for a while on the site, but I'm so excited, I got my valentines day ressie for 7:10pm!! And I did it all in under 5 minutes! I'm surprised I only had to call in 3 times to get in the queue, then I was answered immediately.

100% agree without a doubt. I've been thinking the same thing all day. My experience was not as bad as some of the others. I was able to get my ADR after about 56minutes on hold, spoke to a live agent and got the date (but not the time) I wanted. After all the horrible stories I've heard on here today, it really makes disney look bad. There are people who have been up all night, been on hold for over 6 hours only to find out nothing available, not to mention the credit card nighmare.

I was not surprised by the fiasco. Maybe I am tainted. My DH tried to collect the designer princess dolls in limited edition last year. It was a horrible fiasco mainly due to the eBay buyers grabbing the entire assortment and selling for ten times the price on eBay within an hour after their release. Disney tried to get a hold of it by changing from a weekly release to realizing all remaining dolls on an unspecified date that was announced like 24 hours in advance. Well of course everything crashed...phone, Internet...you'd have them in your cart and then vanish on you. It was a horrible experience and at like 12 am est. I couldn't believe a company as big as Disney could have such horrible customer service operations...but it seems to be almost created.

Still, I love Disney...just not their process for supply and demand

Nobody know for sure. I'd say either they don't want that area of the park open for the parties, or they thought everyone booked at the other restaurants during the party would switch over leaving those other restaurants without any diners. Maybe that will be different next year since they will have advance time to plan and could just never offer ADRs at those other restaurants.

Who the heck knows.

But it would have been nice to know that tidbit in advance, and it would have been nice to know 12/7 would not be open at all, so people didn't waste a lot of time on that interactive system searching different times before going on to another date.
