The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

Joining the wait! Hubby and I will be there 12/12-12/18, so I'm hoping that it will be open by then. My ADRs are June 5, but, like mom2rtk pointed out, I seriously doubt that they'll be taking ADRs for BOG at that point, so I'll just have to leave that spot open. But, if all else fails, I'll eat there at lunch[/QUOTE

How are you June 5th for 12/12... I am 12/1 with a June 4th ADR date?

It makes sense that BOG will be open in December. I am sure it will be featured on the televised Christmas Parade. Still keeping my fingers crossed for my trip Nov 28 - Dec 3.

They start taping the Parade the last 2 days of my trip! I'm so hoping for this to be open the week after Thanksgiving! I'm staying offsite, so my 180 days start on Tuesday.... and on the West coast that's a 3AM online or 4AM phone call. Zzzzzzz..... LOL

I'm thinking they gotta have it open by Thanksgiving - that way have it in time for the Christmas Day Commercial for Disney - I mean the Christmas parade -- that they will be taping the following weekend.

But really, the parade they spend a lot of time showing what is new at the parks and resorts and all that - so would think they'd want it ready to feature a segment on the new Fantasyland. They'd need to have it up and running if so by that last weekend of Nov/1st weekend of Dec as if showing on the parade special they'd be showing it up and running since the parade will air Christmas Day - and is said to be running for the "holidays" - so by the time it does air on Christmas Day it would be open - I mean, they couldn't film it under construction and say look what's coming soon - because by the air date of the parade, it will be open and would have to show it as such.

Did that make ANY sense?

Really curious what the menu will be like?

Finally figured out all my ADRs (couple days before Tgiving and through that whole next week) - and have NO spot to squeeze this in! Guess I gotta do some reworking of the schedule, huh!?

There is just so much to do and see during the time we will be visiting I am finding it impossible almost to decide on just "1" plan. Right now I am 99.9% certain What day I want to do the MVMCP but I would love to have dinner at BMG if it is open so that could mean changeing the date I go to the party, so holding off on buying the tickets.

I always have had my park days pinned down by now but this time I keep going back and forth between 3 scenarios :confused3

We're waiting! I make my ADRs tomorrow (arrival date of 11/23) and am purposefully leaving a couple of days "open" in anticipation that BoG may be open during our stay. Fingers crossed!

This is similar to the philosophy I've been operating on for BoG. My mind keeps saying that Thanksgiving is the start of the holiday season...so that the ambiguous "in time for the holidays" should logically include Thanksgiving. Then my brain says...well, rates go to "Thanksgiving" for the Vals and Mods on Nov 17th and for the Deluxe resorts on Nov 19th...so theoretically, according to my crazy logic :rotfl2:, it could be opening within that window of Thanksgiving rates going into effect. I also can't see them doing this without a soft opening and I can't see them doing the soft opening when things are at elevated Thanksgiving rates...so I feel like there should be some sort of soft opening possibly coinciding when all the holiday stuff starts up - i.e. maybe around the first MVMCP, dreamlights lighting, and Osborne Lights kickoff.

Obviously, it could go the other way and not go in the Thanksgiving travel favor...i.e. late fall as the release said may not be late fall (like early Nov) like many of us might think...but may mean late fall in terms of room rates (i.e. fall lodging rates go to Dec 20th) so it could technically be winter, but still "fall" based on Disney rates. Still- that just doesn't make sense to me with the advertising potential from the Christmas parade. i.e. would think by the time that parade is filming- they'd want FLE and all of it's components (minus the princess M&G and the mine train- which we know to be later openings) up and running and prime for advertising. I mean- by the time the parade airs they'll be in peak holiday season, but right on the cusp of some of the slowest times of the year...i.e. it would just help boost off season travel.

Of course...if it's not ready by parade time, who's to say they wouldn't just create film for advertising after the parade taping.

OK- I'll stop...it's maddening :sad2:- I'm just going to hope my initial Thanksgiving theory is the correct one. :thumbsup2

I'm crossing my fingers that I can eat there for my birthday on 25th Nov, though I'm dreading the stress of the day ADRs are finally available!

for thanksgiving week, I don't care if I have to cancel something and pay the $10 a person, but I want to eat here sooooooo bad.

Belle is my idol, I want to be her when I grow up ;)

My fiancee will say he's already the beast :rotfl2:

Hoping for Dec 1-5 for our 2 yr old grandson.(Who am I kidding, I want to go to this restaurant!!)

I called up about this today.

Disney Dining Reservation CM told me that they have been told the restaurant will be opening for the 'Holiday Season' - he said they were not given a specific date but they consider holiday season to start Oct 31. They are apparently making good progress so he is confident it will be open AND he said he is confident that I will be able to reserve when my 180 day window opens ... that JUNE 10th!!!

Now of course, we shouldn't build our hopes up as mis-information does occur .... but he sounded very positive about it!! *fingers crossed*

:thumbsup2

Well I'm going with that info!! lol We arrive Nov. 6th so that CMs definition of Holiday Season works for us!! OK, now I'm going to stop reading this thread so no one else crushes my illusion!;)

Well, given that I'll be one time zone farther west than normal (Mountain Time zone) on the 10th, I'm guessing that's about when it will happen. Don't you guys book it all up without me, ok?

This is going to sound crazy, but I have warm fuzzy nostalgic ADR booking feelings about June 10th. It marks the 2 year anniversary of the first time I ever got up at 4:30a to book ADRs online at 5am. It feels almost fitting if June 10th were to be the big day for ADRs to open up for BoG. And it's a Sunday, so I wouldn't have to worry about getting ready for work afterwards. :thumbsup2

Oh well...even if June 10th is not the day...I really like the whole Oct 31st being the start of the holiday season. That works well for me if that happens to be case. Here's hoping it works out well for all of our dates and we're all able to get in! :goodvibes

I just called my DD and was given the "go ahead" to cancel whatever we need to in order to get an ADR :wizard::wizard: I would love to be able to get on for the last week in November as we will be arriving on Thanksgiving Day but really have no park plans until Sunday or Monday. WE want the 27th for the Christmas party and booked LTT but will cancel in a heartbeat!
