given day. I just looked up for an updated list of parks to avoid and crowd levels and from June 1st 2005 - April 30th 2006 there is NO crowd level 3 or below. What's going on? We went in Sept of 1998 and the crowd level was 3

Did they make an adjustment to how they calculate these things? We're planning on going late November into Early Dec. and it's mostly 4's. I'll take 4's over 8-10 anyday.

If you check out the crowd blog and read the entire page on how they calculate the numbers you will find that they have changed the scale. Now the numbers represent the wait time in 10 minute increments at the busiest time of the day. It provides a more relevant relationship between crowd levels and wait times.

On a side note take some of the numbers with a grain of salt. For example when we are going, August 24-31st we have 5 days listed as 7 and two as a 6. That isn't much different than the middle of July where 5 days would be a 7 and two would be an 8 even though I just read an article in the WSJ that 75% of schools will be back in session by then. (They are starting earlier to get a jump on the standardized tests).

Who knows, the UG could be correct or this could be a change that they are not aware of. We will find out in a few weeks.
