Everything will be closed, even in MN if we get more than a few feet it's too much to keep the roads clear except for quick scrap of snow emergency routes (main busy streets). Though if we had that much accumulation in just a few hours, it would likely to be blizzard conditions with high winds and zero visibility.
It's been a long time since we've had a big blizzard in the city, we've had gradual accumulation of three feet and more .. but it was spread out over the entire day, plus another foot or two the next day, another 6 inches the next.. etc. Slow enough of a storm to keep the roads relatively clear.
Big blizzards are fun if you don't lose electricity and have lots of groceries stocked. Snow day from school! Everyone comes out the next day (and it's warmer outside with the snow cover) and nice neighbors help each other dig out the cars, clear the sidewalks. Teenagers go out and make moneyWhile the little ones start digging up the yard with snow people and forts. Meanwhile the adults comment on how much snow we got, like it's a big surprise.. uhh gee where do we live again?
Be careful and stay warm (dry).![]()
That was pretty much my guess. The only thing that sucks though is I don't know if John's company is going to understand if he can't open??? I realize he may not be able too - but I doubt they will - so that has me a bit concerned. Other then that we are stocked on firewood and lanterns (in case we lose power) and are over stocked with groceries just in case!!! I am not sure I can handle Anaheim weather here in a couple weeks I just might melt!!!
