I'm just waiting for them to have the Real Housewives of Washington. I can just picture it now...we are all dressed in hoodies or flannel shirts, hitting the Starbucks drive-thru and shopping at Goodwill. We always ask the waiter which is fresher...the salmon or the halibut. This probably won't be funny to anyone but Megan.

Awww.... looks like I missed the party! I came home from work, showered and went to the mall to exchange something at GAP. I receive the wrong colored item from GAP.com and went to exchange it.

Then I headed to Joann's and bought some iron-on patches. I also used some that I had purchased at DL. Last weekend I bought a tote bag and removed the logo from the front. Here's what it looks like:

I also have another tote bag that I'm trying to plan out but it will be Disney Princess themed.



Staley- I like Etsy too. They have some cute stuff I bought a necklace from there and some cute pony tail holders.

Cute! So I have a question Pix. Do you just have your paycheck direct deposited at the local mall?J/K, well sorta. I admire your mall shopping abilities. I know that one of these days I may actually be able to walk into a mall, buy a NEW shirt and not get it off the clearance rack and use a coupon on it. Hold it, what am I saying?? It's garage sale season. I have a pocket full of $1 bills and quarters and I'm not afraid to use them.

My boss gave me a couple of XBox 360 games the other day. Only one problem...I have an XBox, not the 360. So if anybody would like the NCAA Football 09 and/or Gears of War let me know and I will mail them to you. Otherwise they are going to the Goodwill.

NO! I don't buy expensive clothes ever. My clothes are from GAP and American Eagle and Old Navy. I mostly buy Juicy items from Nordstrom and Shiseido facial products. They recently had their half year sale (which just ended) and they had a few new items that were marked down more than 50% off. I also had some gift cards and used those. I promise I'm not a snob. I also don't like the mall. I know what I want and am in and out in less than an hour. A lot of times I buy pants from American Eagle and GAP online because they send coupons in the mail. Their websites also carry ankle length for their pants, which is good for me. Their regular length pants are just far too long or too baggy. Not sure why that is....

The problem is that Gamestop does not give you a lot as store credit or if you sell it to them. My brother tried to sell new Wii games to them and the amount they offered wasn't worth it, so he just kept them.

I HATE the mall. Makes my eye twitch. All those people.... the cost of everything.. Yuck.


Speaking of shopping.. I was at Joanne Fabric looking at patterns the other day.. and this older woman comes up to me to fawn over the twins. And all conversations these day either come back to the octomom, or John and Kate plus 8. Apparently, since I have twins all I think about are other families with multiples. Anyways.. She was going off about octomom, and said, "Well.. she is going to get hers. California went bankrupt and is getting rid of welfare.. Now all them Mexicans are gonna move up here." All I could do was laugh, because I just had this mental image of hordes of people running across the bridges over the Columbia... All to get our welfare. Crazy old people make me laugh.

My sisters made me a no-sew blanket last Christmas with fabric from Joann's. I saw someone with one hanging on their stroller when I was at DL.

Its nap time in the Staley house!! The babies are evening out their schedule more and more. They are sleeping through the night, Jazz wakes up at five for a feeding, and Vinny at six.. Then they sleep until about 8.. They eat, play, poo.. Back to sleep at 11. up a couple house later, down for another nap.. then up.. and down for bed around 9 or ten.

If I want a Juicy purse I wait until it either goes on sale or it gets sent to the Juicy Outlet store. The price is reasonable and more than 50% off. If you go to nordstrom.com they have Juicy purses on sale. Sometimes the price on their website is lower than in their store and vice-versa.

I promise I'm not snobby....I just have a purse addiction.

I'll be sure and stay clear of the bridges. It's not going to be like a swarm of locusts is it? Some people are just so ridiculous and you have to wonder what they are thinking.

Of course not! We just know that you like to shop. And as such we have to give you a hard time. Remember I live with my DD who is a shopaholic and purse addict also.

Much in the same way that my DH tells me "are you headed over to the Goodwill to buy back the stuff you donated to them last month?".

Depends on which games and what they may "need". Either of those titles would be a good resale. Gears of War is a popular title.. hmmm well Gears of War 2 would be better $$ I never understood the football games.. I don't get it but I know that if it's the current year they will give you a tidy sum.. old versions hardly anything.
The mebership is worth it, sometimes they have bonus money for members. And they give a 15% discount on used games.

I love shopping! But like Pix.. I use coupons, sales, online codes.
It's a rare moment for me to pay full price.
I haven't found anything good in clothes at garage sales lately. I think plus size ladies either ebay or consignment the nice stuff. Otherwise it's hideous old lady styles- ewwww.
Last round with sis was a total bust for me, I think we hit the wrong neighborhoods.. just junky stuff that I don't need or want. I've had better luck at my fave thrift store. They did a recent remodel, twice as big and now they have a fitting room!!!

You do know MN had the first enclosed mall? Southdale in Edina, still open to this day. Dead weekdays, busy as heck on weekends and in the summer. Edina is a snobby south suburb of Minneapolis.


We don't go there very often.. for one it's past Mall of America.. it's like why would we bother driving that far?

Two the snob factor, we don't fit in very well.

Three we had a bad experience at a bookstore there (due to reason two.. the snob factor). E and his family were treated poorly by an employee due to race/ethnicity. It was obvious, snarly remark to E and his bother about the store closing soon. She saw me in a different aisle and politely talked to me. hmmmm??? yeah... I'll take our money elsewhere thank you!
