Loved SVH when I was at school. Had I been in the US I guess I would of been in the Class of 92 :)

Claire ;)

I loved SVH when I was in middle school. My sister had the Sweet Valley Twins and the Baby Sitters Club. I read all of hers too.

There were a few other kid series going that I liked. There were a couple of gynmastics ones, and some figure skating ones.

I read SVH....I also had a sticker book (in the 80's), swapped friendship pins and bracelets, made braided barrettes, and sported a number of different plaid Tretorns!!

Class of 90!

:welcome: Jen! Yes, I can't remember the names of those but there were a few I was really into as well....

:wave2: Hi Emma's Mom! Oooh! Friendship pins and bracelets! awesome!

So, I'm happy. I got to watch my fave show-Pushing Daisies, and one of my other faves- Private Practice. Yeaaa! Fall Season!

Esp. after having one of the crappiest. days. ever. Thank heavens I have tommorow off! :woohoo:

I read SVH and then read my younger sister's BSC books.

kelleigh1 - I'm also class of '88....in Massachusetts, too!

Dianne

I have to say that there is always something interesting on these DIS boards. I can't believe I'm sitting here thinking about SVH! I LOVED those books! I spent way too much money on them.

Thanks Julia!!

Dianne:goodvibes

Yea, Dianne, really I just wanted something to run with, you know? I was thinking of names for this thread and I suddenly flashed back to 5th grade and my first attempt at some kind of clique. LOL.

But really, it's about anything. I love reading, I love collecting books, but I'm addicted to the Dis currently, although I must admit, after all this planning, I just want to GET TO DISNEY next week- enough planning already!

When is everyone else's next trips?

I don't remember friendship pins, but I do remember friendship bracelets (and I made them)....oh, and I wanted to be Elizabeth.
Julez, my next trip is whenever I save up about $300....I only live two hours from Disney.

I wanted to be Jessica. I even named the cat I had growing up after her, well partly her- "C.J." C was for Clarissa: from Clarissa Explains It All, remember that show? And J was for Jessica: from SVT/SVH!

What can I say? I was 12!

That's awesome, Sass- I'm so jealous, have you always lived so close?

I remember Clarissa Explains It All, but I never watched it....I did name a cat Sabrina after the teenage witch, though.
No, I haven't always lived so close....the funny thing is I've been there less since I moved so close than I was there before.

Class of '97.

Btw, I mostly read the BSC books (in fact, I still read them occasionally. Started collecting them when I was 9). I did have quite a few Sweet Valley books though...mostly got them from the Scholastic Book Club, since my mother didn't want to buy them for me since she bought me so many BSC books lol.

I think I was reading these until they were in the 60s or something. And maybe only 9 Special Editions. I can't believe they got as high as they did- do they even sell them anymore? I can't even find them on library shelves!

I've thought about donating them to the local library, to further other kids love of them... but then I worry no one would check them out and they would be 'wasted'! Even if they're unread in my garage, they're still loved!

Just checkin' in for the night. Had a nice day off. Helped w/DD's computer class.... brought her lunch and played with her out on the playground at school, the other kids were uber jealous of super cool Rachael that her mom was there! We ran some errands and than my glasses broke! That part sucked - as well has having to spend an unexpected $100 for an exam-- BUT I'm in my first pair of contacts in 1-1/2 years and it feels GREAT! :thumbsup2

Just in time for our trip next week! :goodvibes

Now I'm coloring my hair while listening 2 the Dis & dis-ing! End to a prety OK day!

I loved SVH! And BSC! (I wanted to be MaryAnne) and I even bought the last book when it came out. (Ann M. Martin finished that series a few years ago and now has a new series that look a bit similar)

I remember my first "library fine" was on a SVH book that I borrowed. I payed 15 cents, my brother stole the book and held it ransom until I promised not to tell mom that he snuck out one night to "just talk" to the neighbor girl. :lmao:

Hi, htmom! :wave2:

I loved Mary Anne, but I wanted to be Stacy in that series! Although Dawn and Claudia were also favorites....

Oh yea... I'm sure he was "just talking".... :rotfl:

Oh darn. A clique I could meet the criteria for. I read both BSC and Sweet Valley books and they're still packed away for my kids. I actually just caught the BSC movie on tv the other night.

Hi Juligirl! Welcome :welcome:

Adorable girls in your sig! And how did you make that map- are the colored states the places you visited? Very neat- I wanna make one!

Good morning everyone else! :wave2:

I hadn't noticed that map, but I'd love to make one as well. Only I'd want to make the states that I've lived in one color of their own.
