Oh WOW! I've got all sorts of warm fuzzies!
We've really grown in numbers, huh?!
WELCOME EVERYONE!
My girls love them. The younger version is Sweet Valley Kids and they have all of those as well. I got them started around 4 reading the SVK's.
That's so awesome. I'd forgotten about that series. I'm gonna try desperately to get my daughter hooked on SVK now. She really likes chapter books right now (she's 5)
....even now I find myself thinking about the hitch hiking ghost going home with them from the Haunted Mansion... I'm getting old, so I don't quite remember the details.... but they went on vacation, and one of the little sisters (I think?) thought that their hitch hiker followed her home...

I used to love when shows went to Disney World or other such places on vacation
Ok, Krista, as I said in an earlier post, I found it! It was "Karen"!
Julez- Hey! No, I never did a TR. I am sooo busy! Read official intro. below!
Should we do official intros? I'll start...
I am Tracy, a waitress at a high end restaurant (very strict and not worth the headache sometimes, but I get to work with really cool people, most of whom are gay men!). I am newly married and took DH there for our hmoon. It was his first trip ever and I got him hooked! I was married before and came away with 2 dcs- ds (8) and dd (7). Ds is sweet and easy going and dd (love her dearly) is a high maintenance drama queen. They are 15 months apart! Oh, and I am also a full time student, studying to teach HS English. Just forget I said that, tho- I like to relax and not worry too much about grammar and punctuation. I save that for papers! Once I graduate and get settled, we might have a baby, but that won't be for a few more years. Oh, one more thing- we also have a 3 month old puppy and a 9 year old dog.
So, yeah, that's why there isn't a TR!
I think "Official Intros" would be great and greatly appreciated! Now I know your name is Tracy and I won't have to keep calling you "paint". Unless you want me too of course!
I think it's great you're in school. I really want to go back and get a teaching degree. It was goal #1 before DD came along. But than DH and I seperated and I only had a quick graduation and a recession-proof job in mind. 5 years later, DH and I are celebrating 7 years this December, I've been in my field of medicine as a Certified Medical Assistant for 2-1/2 years, DD is 5yr5mo and I'm very unhappy in the med field!! I'd love to go back to my original dream of teaching Kindergarten through 2nd graders! These days I just get a taste of that through helping DDs kindergarten teacher with Computer Lab on Thursdays (my day off).
Oh, and if this doesn't qualify me for this club, I don't know what will...
I actually started my own BSC in 7th gr. I was rolling in the dough, too! Just call me Kristy!

Oh, dude! You're SO IN!
I didn't know what the title meant....I was opening it , in the small chance the reference was to Charlie and Candy Mountain..
Yanno, the You-Tube unicorn spoof....check it out.. addictive and funny!
Ok, now I'm completely curious- what IS Charlie and the Candy Mountain?
I might be a little too young, but can I join anyway?

. I graduated in 2006, but have been reading Sweet Valley & BSC books FOR FOREVER. I still do sometimes :].
Hahh, I loved the quizzes, I got Jessica, then Claudia, and Strawberry Shortcake. [:
Sure, we'll take a "youngin'"! But when we start complaining about stretch marks, grey hairs, the extra 10 pounds, and our medical visits- don't give up on us!
Am I allowed in if I am already part of another click? I read the SVH books and a couple of TBC.
Of course!

I've read along a bit on Team Focker @ times and think the whole concept is just hilarious!
Good morning, I think....I've had exactly one hour of sleep since 5 AM yesterday morning. And for some reason I don't feel like I'm going to crash anytime soon. I had a nine hour long conversation with my boyfriend last night instead of sleeping. We have a baby on the way and we have a lot of things to talk about (we don't currently live together but we've made a decision that we're definitely going to gradually work towards that.)
Awwww, Sass! Sounds like a rough night. Babies really stir up the pot, that's for sure, I could go into PAGES of the drama in our lives w/the arrival of my DStepSon and DD, but I'll just end with this- they're 5 & 6 now (1-1/2 yr apart!) and everything has settled down so much that when I look back to those days of DD being a bun in the oven, I can do nothing but this:

It's really amazing how life works out.

It's worth all the drama to arrive at a place where the kid(s) are happy and thriving. I'm here for ya!
Oh wow... what a fun thread!!
I loved SVH! Never read BSC. Graduated high school in 1990.
Ya know what series I loved even more than SVH? Cheerleaders... with Pres, Patrick, Mary Ellen, Olivia, Walt, Nancy...
Suzie Zoo

First of all, I LOVED SUZIE'S ZOO and the Current catalogs! Secondly, I THRILLED to hear about someone liking the "Cheerleaders" series as well! I loved it too and am so sad now I ever gave those up!

I was a cheerleader, so of course I loved reading about their routines, etc., but the stories were fun as well! I think my faves were Patrick & Mary Ellen and Olivia.
OMG! I voted both. I love SVH and BSC. But I wasn't born in the 70s-- I was born in the 80s, however, I read all of these books. BSC was my favorite but I still have all of my old SVH books!
As far as Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, I watched both. Sabrina is still my favorite show.

. Anyone remember Punky Brewster? I remember watching it with Soleil Moon Frye (who was also on Sabrina!).
Quiz Results:
BSC- I'm Claudia Kishi
Strawberry Shortcake- I'm Strawberry Shortcake!
SVH- I'm Elizabeth!
I hope I'm Unicorn Club material!

Rora! I have Punky Brewster all ready on my Netflix for the DD to fall in love with! Yea, you're SO IN!
I never read Cheerleaders.....there was also a series set at a college (and it wasn't Sweet Valley University) that I read a lot but I don't remember what it was called and there was one with twin sisters that I think always had dessert of some type in the title and one with three sisters (one was named Nicole but I don't remember the other two.)
Sass, I remember the ones with the desserts too! They were always on the cover holding one right? I vaguely remember a title with them holding banana splits? They were twins too, I think. I really was obsessed with being a twin back then. Anyone remember the show, Double Trouble? Loved it!
So I have SOOOOOOOO much to do this weekend, it's rediculous. We leave in 4 days for the WORLD! We're driving, so I'm having some anxiety over what to buy for food.... but I'll lament more on that in my PTR. Gotta post pix today too of the trip binder. ARGH! SO MUCH TO DO!
But first things first- finish up at work and go home!
L8R!
