Hey, Honu, I think I'd better go soon. I really need to get to sleep. Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it? We should discuss this trip/possible trip thread with the other Unicorns (as well as the book club and other things). We really need to have a real Unicorn meeting. It'd be so much easier to plan things if we were all on at the same time.

I gotta go to bed soon too. Time sure does fly by. I love planning our trip. I think we do need to have a unicorn meeting. Maybe this weekend?

Wow! That's so cool! I didn't know that they had a maze like that. :)

Yeah, it's really fun to go through!

I love planning our trip, too! It's so much fun to go on a virtual vacation.........and it's free! :rotfl: Yeah, I'll PM everyone and see when they're free. Hold on. I'm going to send you a PM.

Virtual vacations rock!

My, my, you girls were up late posting! :) I hope you got some sleep! And beautiful pictures of Hawaii, BTW. I hope to go there someday :beach:

Rora - My hair color is dark brown, in photos it looks almost black. In certain light it has a reddish tone to it. I used to dye it all the time in high school but haven't done anything like that in years.

As for LL, nobody likes Mean Girls? I don't like her much but I absolutely love that movie!!

So, is it crazy that I'm contemplating buying NKOTB tickets again? This will be the third time in 6 months that I would be seeing them....

Starr - Happy Birthday!

Ladies! Hi! I am so behind, I know. Excuse my absence! Classes have started, but it didn't last long. We had bitter cold and everyone was home for 3 days last week! Me, dh, and the kids. I started to lose it when dd was giving me a dramatic rendition of "Green Eggs and Ham"! Then, I had to travel for a baby shower and then the next morning I found out my Gma passed away. She was 90 and had been out of it for awhile, so it was no real shock. I am very sad for my Gpa, though. They were married for 65 years. Can you imagine? I try not to. The wake is tonight and the funeral is tomorrow. Please keep me in your thoughts. I have to do a reading. I do not mind at all speaking in front of people but I hope I can keep my composure. I make really ugly faces when trying not to cry! Also, sometime during the next day or so I have to compose a paper on medieval literature! Did the SVH ever go to Medieval Times?!?

Prepare yourselves for some serious multi-quoting!!

My hair is dark brown, almost black. FYI, I don't color it. :thumbsup2
Pretty!! I always wanted brown hair when I was little-- and still kinda do but I'm too cheap to dye it.. It's so expensive to keep it looking nice!

(I already gave myself away- I'm blonde. It's more of a gold-ish blonde- definitely not Bleach Blonde Barbie..)

Cool! Purple streaks sound fun. I may do that for our WDW trip in 2010.
YES!! We'll all do it. When I was in middle school I had a couple of pink streaks in my hair.. I was trying to rebel. I don't think pink is the proper color for a rebellion, though. Hmm.. :lmao:
A vanilla milkshake cure! That's awesome! Hey, whatever works, right? I'm glad your headache is better.
Hey- What a great cure! I think I'll go get one and justify it by saying that it's curing my headache!! :cool1: However, I'm very happy it worked for you Honu! :cheer2:
I vote for plane ride over, then outrigger canoe through out the islands, just like the ancient Polynesians did. Of course with hot guys making the outrigger go!
At first I was shocked by this.. I thought you wanted us to paddle!! :faint: :rotfl: Then I read on.. as long as those men are shirtless!!

Okay.. why aren't they shirtless? :confused3
Is it hard to learn to surf?
I surfed for a while when I was younger. It was very tiring. You need lots of upper body strength but once you manage to stand up-- you're golden. It's like riding a bike, just a little harder the first time!

I found the perfect scooter!

That is fantastic!!
MMM... food porn

YES! This is what I've been waiting for. Forget the hotties (OMG, did I really just say that?! :faint: I don't think I mean it..), you'll find me swimming in a pool of Dole Whip. Yummy!

That looks like so much fun! I love mazes! And Pineapples. This is too perfect.

When are leaving?? :lmao:

Another brown haired girl! Sounds so pretty! As far as NKOTB is concerned-I'd say go for it if you have the money.. you only live once!! ::yes::

I am so sorry about your GMa. Your family, your GPa and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

On a happier note, I love that DD did a dramatic reading of Green Eggs and Ham!! I would've loved to been present for that! :rotfl2:

Hmm.. I can't remember if SVH ever went to Medieval Times.. but, I love Medieval Faire's!! Anyone else..? If so... we all know what that means!!.. FIELD TRIP!! :cool1:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STARR!! :cheer2: Have a fantastic day!

I'm sorry to hear about your Gma. That has to be so sad, what you're grandfather is going through. I can't even begin to imagine. :sad1: I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I'm going to Medieval Times on Friday! I'll take notes :rotfl:

So after what I posted about Elvis on here to you guys, I look up not five minutes ago and who did I catch staring at me...Take a guess! :sad2:

Hey, everyone! I hope you all had a great day. Starr, I hope you had a great birthday!!

Warning: More major multi-quoting ahead.

My, my, you girls were up late posting! :) I hope you got some sleep! And beautiful pictures of Hawaii, BTW. I hope to go there someday :beach:

Yeah, we were up pretty late. It wasn't quite as late as the DIS time says, but still pretty late. Fortunately, I don't have to be at work till late morning.

I hope you get to go to Hawaii someday, too! This virtual Hawaiian vacation can be your practice trip.

As for LL, nobody likes Mean Girls? I don't like her much but I absolutely love that movie!!

I've never seen Mean Girls. I must confess that I did enjoy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. :rotfl2:

So, is it crazy that I'm contemplating buying NKOTB tickets again? This will be the third time in 6 months that I would be seeing them....

Nope, you're not crazy! If I were a big NKOTB fan, I'd see as many of their concerts as I could, too.

Hey, Paint! :wave2: Nice to have you back! Sorry to hear about the cold. I hope that the weather improves soon, if it hasn't already.

As for your DD's dramatic rendition of Green Eggs and Ham..........I thought I was the only one who did that! I also do a great rendition of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. :lmao: Just kidding!

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. :sad1: I hope that you and your family (especially your grandpa) are doing all right. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope you do well on that medieval literature paper. Let us know if you need any suggestions.

You were rebelling against the "proper" rebellion hair colors, so you were OK.

Pink had pink hair, too!

Well, I'm in pretty good shape, but my upper body strength isn't too great. Hmmm..........maybe The Rock can be my personal trainer..........;)

Let's leave tomorrow! Well, maybe not that soon. How about Saturday?

Hmm.. I can't remember if SVH ever went to Medieval Times.. but, I love Medieval Faire's!! Anyone else..? If so... we all know what that means!!.. FIELD TRIP!! :cool1:

Did someone say field trip? :hyper:

So after what I posted about Elvis on here to you guys, I look up not five minutes ago and who did I catch staring at me...Take a guess! :sad2:

Not again! I'm telling you, Jenny. You really need to report that guy to the proper authorities. This needs to stop.

So after what I posted about Elvis on here to you guys, I look up not five minutes ago and who did I catch staring at me...Take a guess! :sad2:
Okay.. Super creepy.

I don't know what to tell you. I can't decide if it's best to try to make conversation with him or just ignore him. Does he know you have a DBf? Maybe DBf can come into your workplace someday, bring you flowers and just kinda make himself known. Hopefully your DBf is a muscle man, like the Rock. That'll really show Elvis. :thumbsup2 But on a serious note, if he continues to make you feel uncomfortable, report him to any authority at your work. If they ignore you, call your corporate or the next person up the chain from your managers or whoever.

Happy Thursday everyone!!!! It's been a long week. I'm looking forward to the weekend- and our trip to Hawaii! :cool1:

Hey ladies :wave2:

Once again, something was shutting down my browser every time I tried to open this thread so.... I haven't been on here. But tried today and it worked so.... hmm.... :scratchin

PAINTNOLISH: I'm so sorry for your family's loss. And yes, that must be tragic for your Grandfather. Working in internal medicine, I see my elderly patients lose their spouses, friends, family every day. They can become quite sad so just know that the extra effort, kind words, and love from your family and kids will mean the world to him during his difficult time. The saddest part about growing old is losing the ones we love.

Hm.. that's so strange! But I'm glad you managed to get here! We miss you! :grouphug: How is everything with you?

Excellent, thank you!

We rescued a dog.... then found a new home for him.
I had a ton of time off work.
I got bronchitis. Now I'm better.
DH bought a new truck..... which cancels our Dec. trip. Oh well! Got another one lined up for Apr 2010 so.... s'alright.
Lookin' for a new job.
Thrilled w/this week's political events.

All in all, things are great!

What'd you decide on the wedding?

So nice you rescued a dog!! Was it super cute?

Ugh, bronchitis- glad you're feeling better. Hey, at least you have a trip in the works for 2010!! :cool1:

As for the wedding, we decided we are going to do the at home wedding and probably do a Disney themed rehersal dinner! That way we can get the best of both worlds and make everyone happy! I'm much more happy with the idea now, so I can't complain!

As for the Unicorn Club, Tigger and Honu are planning a virtual trip to Hawaii! :rotfl: Check it out a couple of pages back! :beach:
