Hey everyone!

I'm in the midst of planning my Disney wedding and honeymoon for the end of April 2018. A little background info on us:

We are driving from SC on April 26th and staying at the GF April 26th-28th. We are getting married on the 28th (early morning ceremony followed by reception and Epcot dessert party later that night) and staying at the BC April 28th-May 5th for our honeymoon. This will be around my 26th trip and my fiancé's 3rd. I've stayed at the BC for all the trips I can remember.. he's stayed at Fort Wilderness and BC. He LOVES Epcot, isn't really a big fan of MK :confused3, and enjoys eating and drinking more than riding rides LOL. I'm happy as long as I'm in Disney :teeth:

I haven't decided if I'm going to do the Deluxe Dining Plan or not.. we did it for a short trip in May and saved about $200. I liked already having everything paid for, but my fiancé didn't like having to get an appetizer and dessert at every meal. Regardless, we are going all out for restaurants this trip.

Anyway, here's what I have so far:

April 26:
  • Late dinner at Citrico's (around 7:30 or 8:00 PM) we will be driving in this day (it's 570 miles so if we leave by 7:00 AM we should be there by 4:00 PM at the very latest)

April 27:
  • Late breakfast at Crystal Palace or CRT around 10:00 AM (can't decide which one.. LOVE Crystal Palace breakfast, but I've never had CRT's breakfast so it would be nice to do something new)
  • "Rehearsal" dinner at California Grill (we aren't having a wedding party, so it will be more of a small family dinner for 10-12 people). I wasn't crazy about the food at CG in May, but I think my guests would love the fireworks view. Open to other restaurant suggestions for this night as long as it's around the GF. I considered Narcoossee's, but I don't eat any kind of seafood.
April 28:
  • Wedding day!! We are going to have our luggage moved by Disney, so all we have to do is leave our reception in Epcot at 3:30 PM and check into the BC. We will have a 5 hour break between the end of the reception and the dessert party, so I'm thinking about making an ADR at Beaches and Cream for a quick snack/something solid before loading up on sweets.
April 29th
  • We are doing the MK and Epcot bridal photo session in our wedding attire, so we will be up at 4:00 AM :scared:
  • Thinking of doing California Grill Brunch around 12:00 PM (to give us time to rest after the photo session)
  • Late dinner at Spice Road Table around 7:30 PM
April 30th
  • Breakfast at Cape May 7:30 AM
  • Lunch at Mama Melrose (I need to decide between breakfast and lunch because this is too much food!)
  • Dinner at Ohana
  • HEA Plaza Garden Dessert Party (I'm still undecided on this.. I think it will be underwhelming after our private dessert party)
May 1st
  • Lunch at Tiffins 12:00 PM
  • Dinner at Monsieur Paul 7:30 PM
May 2nd
  • Garden Grill breakfast (PPO)
  • Snack (and drink) around the world
  • Dinner at Victoria and Albert's (Is the Queen Victoria Room worth the extra $$$?)
May 3rd
  • Lunch at CRT or the Plaza
  • Dinner at Jiko
May 4th
  • Breakfast at Boma
  • Wild Africa Trek
  • Signature dinner in Epcot area (I'm thinking about Le Ceiler or Flying Fish, but I'm not a seafood eater so I'm not sure what I would eat at Flying Fish)
Are we leaving any must-do restaurants out?? My plan is to try new places (the only signatures I've been to are Tiffins and California Grill). I realize our trip is heavy on food, but like I said we are foodies and our touring plan is usually pretty relaxed. I've been planning our family Disney trips for about 6 years now and they request at least 2 TS meals a day.. so I know they take up park time etc., but we are always able to do everything we wanted to do.

TIA!!

Congratulations!

CA Grill is OK and all, and brunch is certainly different than dinner, but maybe switch out one of those meals - unless your informal wedding rehearsal (we did the same thing) has to be at CA Grill. Then maybe Narcoossee's for brunch (or House of Blues to change things up).

V&A - while different experiences in some ways, the real difference between the rooms is the number of courses and this is going to take about an hour longer. Worth it? Are tickets to the Wold Series worth it? Front row at the Opera worth it?

This is an extreme food experience, with a memory that may well be priceless. Enjoy.

Looks good. I would do Artist Point instead of CG for rehearsal. Love that place. And also try and get the Chef's Table at V&A. You have enough time you might be able to pull it off.

I completely forgot about Narcoossee's brunch! Although now I'm thinking it might be easier to have the rehearsal dinner at Narcoossee's if my rehearsal is going to be at the GF. We are definitely doing V&A's, just not sure about which experience to go with yet.

I originally had our arrival dinner at Artist Point, but I didn't know if it would be a hassle getting to the restaurant from the GF. Would we take a boat to MK then a boat to the Wilderness Lodge? I remember Hoop-de-doo being a pain to get to. I would love to work Artist Point in our plans somewhere.. maybe instead of 'Ohana? Such a hard decision!!

Since it's just the two of us, would we be sitting with strangers at the Chef's Table?

Exactly how you would get there. It is a ride, but a nice ride on bay lake. Bring a water bottle and put a glass of wine in it to enjoy on the boat ride over. AP is my favorite place on property, have not done V&A yet.
As for Chef's Table, no it would be just you 2. Same cost, believe they just offer it up to 10 people but can be just 2.

Artist Point is excellent. Take a cab over!

I would keep the HEA dessert party for an amazing view!

Love Artist Point!

Y'all are really throwing a wrench into my plans! :P LOL. I'm going to rework Artist Point into our plans now :surfweb:

It will be a good excuse to try out the Minnie Vans :thumbsup2 Hopefully they are still around by then!

And my family and I learned the hard way that areas that were once decent for viewing Wishes are no longer decent viewing areas for HEA! We booked the Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party for our first viewing of HEA in May :sad2: so you're right, I should probably do the Plaza Garden viewing to secure a good view because my fiancé is not one to stake out a spot for an hour!
