I hvae stayed in them. Definately no handicap accessable. However other units within the resort were, so I don't think that is the reason. I think that their big draw was the 3 bedroom home style unit. In the early 90's Disney started building the DVC resorts with all condo style units. I tink the "competition" of those resorts, coupled with the fact that they became part of the Disney Instatute Resort, drove the damnd down. My understanding is that they are now used to house cast members.
