"Ooooooh, Let's Just Sit and Stare at the Giant Guitar for......an HOUR!...."
....I stood at the exit of
Toy Story Mania! and looked to my left and then to my right. Now what? I wasn't sure if I should head over to
Backlot Tour, or if they were still ON the tour, or if they had already returned. Well, not to worry, I'll just use my trusty cell phone and give him a ringy-ding-y....hey, why not - it's happened before. So, into my big bag I dug....and dug and dug and dug....and, oh NO!!! No cell phone!

Luckily, I left it safely recharging back at the villa....what a noodle-head I've become. Well, since we HAD gotten those RnRC Fastpasses, I did what any sound-minded park-goer would have done in my place - I headed over in that direction, figuring they'd eventually meander that way too.
As I passed Toluca Turkey Legs [ yet AGAIN!] a CM was standing there, clipboard and I-pad (or whatever it was) in hand, and soliciting random passersby and taking a survey. I guess that I must possess that 'you-have-that-ridiculously-intelligent-look-on-your-face-and-YES-your-opinion-really-DOES-matter' appearance on my visage and was momentarily stopped to answer a few general WDW questions. Afterwards, he gave me a little card containing an email address/website so that I could partake in the second part of the survey. I figured it was worth a shot at perhaps getting a 'freebie' of some sort - I figured wrong though...
...I hurried over to the end of the line, searching [in vain] for my two men. Nope - they were nowhere to be found, so I decided to elude the intense sun, and situated myself near one of the pin carts against the wall, where I'd have an optimum view of those coming and going. However, I proceeded to sit there for the good part of an hour. I was so tempted to jump off that wall and march myself down to that Fastpass line, and say heck with them. Well, the smart, STRONG Kim would have done that. Unfortunately, the timid, not-wanting-to-make-waves Kim decided to show up at DHS that day.... All was not lost - I did get to listen to some really cool tunes and, after all, I DID have a really great view [

]:
....I suppose that I began to look ill-at-ease, so the woman standing next to me (she was keeping an eye on the her family's belongings while they were riding RnRC, plus, I had already been sitting there for well over half an hour) asked me if everything was okay - of course everything WASN'T; I gave her an abridged version of how I had lost the rest of my party, to which she offered me the use of her cell phone. What an unbelievably noble gesture, but I hesitated, because my family is in the habit of not answering unfamiliar phone numbers when their cells ring. Of course, I came to that conclusion after the 5th try, so I sent my DS a text, hoping that he'd have the sense to respond to that. He did, and proceeded to inform me that, since the Fastpass time would soon end, they weren't going to bother walking back to the RnRC area......

Well, I profusely thanked the lovely woman for the use of her cell phone and hurried along, but not before taking a few candid DHS shots along Sunset Blvd:
....I actually caught a bit of the remnants of Disney's Hollywood Studios Block Party Bash Parade:
....I continued further, passing

The Brown Derby:

...drowning my self-pity and sorrow by purchasing a few WDW pins...after standing there, undecided on what to do next, we opted to go on the
Great Movie Ride. It was fortuitous that we bumped into our friends, Jean and Maureen here [they had just arrived at DHS], since our time together was getting less frequent:
...but not before the five of us entered
AI:
...we passed Mickey's "main squeeze" along the way and, YES, she waved at ME!:
