"....Tastes just like CHICKEN!....."
.....sooooo, the plan was to go back, upon the unrelenting urging of Ron, to the villa to freshen up and relax before dinner. Unfortunately, the time constraint did not allow for such frivolity and nonsense. Besides, we missed the turn-off and got a bit lost and had to back-pedal, by way of the Convention Center, traversing Universal Blvd, to finally arrive at Fishbones on time:
...it's located on Sand Lake Road, next to the Marriott Residence Inn, and reportedly favored by the locals. There were several dining rooms, each reflecting its own brand of ambiance - we were immediately seated in the back dining room, with its own feeling of coziness and old Florida bayou charm:
...once seated, we immediately ordered wine, along with one of their renowned delicacies, alligator nuggets, served with a delightful dipping sauce. Well, the phrase
"tastes just like chicken" certainly is appropos here, because, well, deep-fried gator nuggets do that - taste JUST LIKE CHICKEN! ( honestly, I don't know if ALL alligator meat tastes like chicken, but I can vouch for Fishbone's version!

) ....oh BTW, I hope you aren't expecting food porn here either....needless-to-say, dinner was enjoyed by all, and the best part was, once again, I didn't have to cook it.....
....we were just too darned stuffed to order any semblance of dessert, so a few of us opted for a cup of coffee. We really need to walk off that gargantuan meal, and contemplated revisiting DTD. We drove towards Route 4 and points south-west, only to be pleasantly surprised by the sight of fireworks in the near distance - turns out it was Disney's Summer Nightastic! Fireworks display at MK....
....well, we WERE really far away!
