The trip that launched my OCD....COMPLETE!!

Can you believe I had the entire rest of Day 4 typed last night when I accidentally deleted it. It was not so magical! I wanted to thank everybody for reading...I'm loving the positive reinforcement. Okay, let's see if I can remember what I wrote last night....

Day 4 continued....
After Mickey's Philharmagic we decided to ride Pooh once more and then head to Pinnochio's Village Haus. This place was a complete madhouse. The boys and I circled the restaurant at least 6 times....I felt like the old lady at Walmart who is determined to get a front row parking place. I finally told Buzz to act like he was starving (he's a method actor...that explains all the fries!). His pathetic act finally guilted a family that was just visiting into wrapping it up and moving on just in time for the Grince to deliver the grub. All I can say about this place is the fries were edible. From there we headed to the Haunted Mansion which I hurried Woody onto before he had time to think. The CM's there would give the extras from the Thriller video a run for their money. From the minute we got on the doom buggy, it wasn't good. Once again Woody was concerned for his own safety. I explained that it was a funny kind of scary which he wasn't buying. I think it's safe to say that that was his last experience at the HM for awhile. Of course, since I'm awaiting a call from Birnbaum's any minute, I asked for Buzz's studied opinion. "It was good because the monsters were kind of glowy...oh, and that dog looked scared." Good to know. Make a note of that.
I read about an ingenious plan in ZZUB's report. It involved industrial deodorant application upon arrival to the Magic Kingdom. I think this should be implemented at once and here's why. First you should know I'm a shopper and I'm not an amateur either. If there were an olympics of shopping, I would be Mary Lou Retton. So, we'd already been in the world for 4 days and I'd done very little shopping. I decided it was time to hit the Christmas shop in Liberty Square. The Grince took the boys for a snack and I hit the store. My mom had asked me to pick her up a new Disney music box. After much deliberation I found one and that is where it all went South. I asked the CM if there was a box that it came in and she set off to find one. It took her FOREVER, I actually believe she went to Epcot to get it. While I was waiting, I was in line behind what had to be the world's smelliest man. Imagine, if you will, the worst B.O. you have ever beheld mixed with stale cigarettes and questionable bathroom hygeine and then you're not even close. This guy had the serious funk. The worst part was the CM refused to release him back into the wild from whence he came. He was buying some stuff and he wanted to know if she would ship this huge framed picture he had from somewhere else back to his room. Hmm, I don't know let me see it? This of course caused him to lift said object above his head thus giving us all an odiferous treat. Well, she still didn't know, did he have a receipt for it? Why, yes he did. Just let me reach into my pocket...wait? It's not in that pocket...more wafting ensued. Of course the next question involved where he purchased said object...at this juncture I'm thinking "For the love of God, woman, don't make him point!" I think the paint began to peel off the walls. I was thinking, I don't care if it's a bomb just ship it! And running a close race with that thought was, "I hope everyone behind me doesn't think that I am the source of the smell." Finally he left disappointed that in fact she could not ship the item. Could we not have said that from the beginning?
On to the Hall of Presidents where I felt I needed time to recover. Woody loved this...strange I know. He had no idea who any of the men were, but it was still good he said. Conversely, Country Bear Jamboree did not fair so well. I was disappointed. It had been a favorite of mine as a child and I thought the audio was really hard to understand this time.
We decided to check out Woody and Jesse at the horseshoe and Jesse really gave Tink a run for her money. I could see Buzz was in swoon mode for this little redhead. Woody and well, Woody had a gunfight and got a great picture together. At this point our Toy Story boys were starting to wind down so we decided we'd hit BTMRR and call it a day. Buzz was too short to ride and not too happy to miss a train opportunity. Woody rode and was none to pleased with the velocity of this ride, yet inexplicably rode it again with the Grince. We called it a day and headed home.

Tomorrow, Day 5 more MK and Spectromagic....

Yay, you're back!

I was re-reading your early posts and noticed you stayed in All Star Movies. We're thinking of staying there in December. How was the resort? I've heard it can be noisy. What was the bus situation like? How long did it take to get to the parks?

Hello Again Punkin's Mom,
We did stay there and I was actually really pleased with it. We were in the Toy Story building (Woody) upstairs on the end. I don't know if it was because we were on the end or what, but we never heard anyone else. The room was nice and clean and we only waited twice for buses our entire 7 days. And that was only about a 15-20 min. wait. We pretty much stayed at the parks all day so we didn't camp out in our room much, but for $77 a day, you can't really beat it. When in Dec. are you going? Oh, also I thought the theming was great. Our boys made a point to tell Woody and Buzz good morning and good night every day. So cute!

We haven't booked yet, but I think it'll be Dec 10 - 14th. We were originally going to stay at French Quarter but changed our minds after I realized we could stay a whole extra day if we switched to a value. Now I'm just trying to decide between Pop and Movies. I'm leaning towards movies because of the theming.

By the way - your boys are adorable!

When are y'all going back? (Wanna come with?!)

Thanks, I think they're pretty cute myself! Like I said, we really enjoyed ASMo, but keep in mind that I was the trip Nazi and we did not spend tons of time at the hotel. We're going back in Jan....w/the inlaws. Now, THAT's a report you need to read. :lmao:

Day 5....
We decided to eat breakfast in our room and then spend the present day in the future...of Tomorrowland that is. Now, I know that Tomorrowland is not really futuristic anymore, but I do remember it from my youth and it seemed like something completely unreal then. Today it's more like movies' idea of what the future would have been, yet it was fun none the less. We went straight there and picked up a FP for Stitch's Great Escape and went in to meet Stitch, Mrs. Incredible and Buzz Lightyear. The line here was LONG. I think most people were just there for the air conditioning and meeting the characters was just a small inconvenience. We were there to meet the man...BUZZ. After waiting a really long time we got to Buzz. The boys were thrilled and Buzz was very animated. Halfway through our visit with him, a boy about 12 years old made his way from the back of the line under the ropes into meeting Buzz. It was kind of funny because you could tell that Buzz was perplexed and didn't really know what to do. Even stranger, the boy attached himself to Buzz and held him tight around the waist and wouldn't let go. But, the strangest thing was his parents. They just stood there and watched him and smiled at how cute he was. Finally the CM asked him to get back in line so we could get a picture. We got one and proceeded on to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. We loved this one. Buzz (my Buzz) spun us around so many times that I was seasick. The Grince was very pleased with himself and his exorbitantly high score. His gloating was almost unbearable. I will later demand a rematch. From there Woody and I hit Stitch's Great Escape. I was completely underwhelmed with this and Woody did not enjoy being restrained during this ride, show, whatever it is. Which brings me to a burning question. Why are you restrained during this thing? It's not like it moves. Will a fake laser beam disintegrate you if you move? What? I don't get it?! I think the imagineers need to go back to the drawing board on this one. From there we headed to TTA which I like mainly because it's always been there, but also because it's nice and cool. And the announcements are really funny if you listen. We picked up some FPs for SM and went to lunch. We decided to eat at Tommorowland Noodle Terrace. Now, let me assure you that I know this food is not that good, but here's the thing, NO ONE was there but us and it was COOL. I bet it was 20 degrees cooler there than the rest of the park. And I thought I might win the french fries battle here. Buzz loves spaghetti and I thought he might eat some of the noodles. Now, who do you think the naive one here was? Not happening. He did enjoy some chocolate cake though. Fueled by sugar and little else we went back to Tommorowland. It wasn't time for SM yet and unfortunately Buzz and Woody spotted the Speedway so we had to ride it. It was here that we encountered Tony and Carmela Soprano and I almost slept with the fishes that night. :fish: Upon entry the entire Soprano family was standing blocking the entrance trying to decide whether or not they were going to board this stellar ride. We stood and waited for them to decide for what seemed like 10 minutes. Finally our family, along with another family navigated our way around said Sopranos. At that point I think we disrespected the "family" and Tony and Carmela sprang into action. They pushed their way around us and started making loud comments about how rude we were and we must really be dying to ride this ride. I did not feel comfortable with the dying reference and I swear Tony was sizing my feet up for a pair of cement shoes. The whole time I'm thinking, "come on, isn't it punishment enough to have to actually ride the Indy Speedway, do I have to watch my back for a wiseguy the rest of the day?" I'd like to report that Disney magic intervened and we lost them with speedy footwork :moped:
post ride. :)
Space Mountain was calling our names and I can tell you it didn't hurt that the ride was in the dark which made us harder to follow! :smooth: I rode first and then the Grince. While he was riding we decided to head on over to Toontown. We checked out the Mouses Houses and then met Mickey in the Judge's Tent. Afterward we hit what we had been avoiding until now and that was Donald's Boat. Okay, you do not get just damp on this, you will get soaked. Especially if you are a 2 or 4 yr old boy. I had thought to bring a change of shorts, but really didn't expect to need shirts. You could have refilled the 20,000 Leagues old area with the water the boys' shirts contained. But, they had a great time and it was really fun to watch them! The Grince who even found the humor in this (light on GR, heavy on the Ince) took them to the bathroom to change their shorts afterward while I went and bought some new shirts. Dry and refreshed we headed over to Goofy's Barnstormer. This is fun, but Paris Hilton has had dresses longer than this ride. Figure that one out.
After that we went back to Fantasyland. You might have noticed that I'm the only girl in this family. That's fine. I've always wanted boys. I think I'm more suited to them. I'm what I would call a guy's girl. While I do enjoy shopping and make up, I also love sports and a good action movie. But, I sometimes have to remind my boys that I am in fact a girl and sometimes I want to do things that pertain to girls. Snow White was my favorite Walt Disney princess as a girl mainly because she had dark hair and the rest were blondes. We'd skipped her ride earlier, but after giving the Sopranos the slip, I was feeling brave. I insisted on riding Snow White and even more cleverly, I insisted the Grince be Woody's riding partner. I later heard that Woody thought it was scary. Big surprise there. I got my girl fix though. Still enjoying being a girl we rode the carousel and then I insisted we hit my fave again (okay, now maybe I was being a little selfish, but I did plan this whole trip) so we watched Mickey's Philharmagic one more time.

THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN READING BRACE YOURSELVES!!!

We had a 5:45 ADR at Tony's Town Square and the food was not great, BUT Buzz broke down and ate a whole plate of SPAGHETTI! Yes, I know it is still a starch and holds no nutritional value, but still it was not from the potato family. Afterwards we crossed the street and made ourselves comfortable on a curb. I was bound and determined to have a good seat. The Grince went and got the boys drinks and then I went shopping while they waited. When I came back we had about 30 mintues left. We asked Woody if he needed to go to the bathroom which of course he did not. Meanwhile a darling family with triplet girls walked up and asked if their girls could sit in the small space next to us. We said of course. They were so cute and very well behaved. I figured anyone who could have triplets and make a trip to Disneyworld with them deserved any seat they wanted. About 5 minutes before the show started, Woody decided he desperately needed to go to the bathroom. The Grince putting the GR back in Grince, asked why he didn't go when we asked. Hmm, then he wouldn't be a 4 year old would he dear? They took off in a dead sprint and had to go across Main St. The street lights were dimmed and the music started to play right as they burst through the crowd back to our seats. It felt just like Chariots of Fire. For the second time that day I managed to avoid sleeping with the fishes :fish: (Woody actually asked me to take him, but I pushed it off on the Grince). Spectromagic was amazing. We had the perfect seat too. I will never forget my two boys reaching out to the butterflies and dragonflies who discreetly waved back at them. It was one of our best times in the World. After a great day, we headed home and to bed.

Tomorrow, Day 6 Costumes and camel spit!

Day 6

After breakfast in our room we headed back to the MK. Our first stop was just off Main Street on that little side street next to the kitchen store. We found the silhoutte guy and had him do Buzz and Woody's silhouttes. It seriously took him about 5 minutes for each one and they look exactly like them. I was amazed. For $32 we got both pictures framed with an extra copy of each boy. We get a lot of comments on these. From there we hit the low traffic bridge by the Crystal Palace into Adventureland. We started out our day on the Jungle Cruise which was a walk on. The boys enjoyed this one, but I thought our CM was a little sluggish. Thar be squall's ahead... we walked right on to the Pirates of Carribean. Once again Woody was nervously fearing his parents' evil plot to have him killed on one of the many attractions at WDW. Fortunately for all of us, he remained unscathed. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, but for our boys the jewels in the cement in adventureland were a huge hit. Woody was sure we'd find one that we could just pick up and of course we'd all be rich! We searched and searched for the elusive loose jewel. :woohoo: I ain't sayin' he a golddigger, but he ain't messin.....never mind. Anyway, riches eluded us.
From there we hit the Enchanted Tiki Room and I don't care what anyone says this is a great attraction! Hence the name, Tikigoddess. We decided it was high time the Grince enjoyed some dromedary saliva so we jumped on the magic carpets and sure enough the camel hit the Grince every time around. It was great! We couldn't leave adventureland without a trip through the Swiss Family Treehouse. Not only do the Swiss make a great cheese and an amazing timepiece, they also have a way with treehouses.
On the advice of dissers galore we decided to lunch at Columbia Harbour House. The coveted upstairs was indeed empty and we did enjoy a quiet and tasty lunch and here's something else you may not know. They have the cleanest bathrooms in all the land...seriously.
From there we hit Splash Mountain and can I just say that despite my poncho, I took then entire briar patch full of water in the face. I was the only wet person in my log and every last ounce of it hit me in the face. This is where I learned that karma is indeed a you know what. I never should have laughed at the Grince's unfortunate interaction with the Aladdin camels. The Grince found this very humorous. We decided I could dry off on the train to Toontown. I did and upon arrival we saw we were just in time to meet some characters. We got some much needed autographs, played on the playground and headed back to the hotel for a nap.

Tomorrow....MNSSHP.....

Hi from a fellow Okie!

Your retelling of your WDW trip is hilarious. It sounds so much like our trip last May, with our three little ones. Well, except for your run in with the Sopranas! :) Can't wait to read the rest.

BTW - your boys are adorable. My daughter (also four) asked me who the cute boy was on my 'puter screen.

Cool, where are you from in OK? It's all God's country you know...Tell your daughter my son says thanks! I'm sure he'd find her just as cute :goodvibes The Sopranos were definitely scary...but we survived. :rolleyes1 Thanks for reading!

Just north of Tulsa. What area are you in?

Wow, I am just a few hours away. I love the Oklahoma Aquarium!

How fun that we live so close together! I suppose you are OSU fans? If so, I suppose I can overlook that since you love Disneyworld so much. lol. We lived in Norman for almost ten years before we moved back home. There is a certain charm living in a college town.

And I guess I have to admit now that I've never been to the aquarium even though it's less than 20 minutes away.

Love your report, sounds like good times were had by all.

I have a french fry guy of my own. So fr no luck on growing out of it.

Hey everyone, I'm back. I'm telling you, this OK wind combined w/a skyhigh pollen count is kicking my bootie! 2 princesses&1prince....yes I am a h-h-h-h-HUGE OSU fan....bleed orange and black. But I have been known to like a few select Sooners in my day. Let's keep it on the downlow though! Javamom, in reply to your pm...I do not get that sign at all...it's so weird! I've never seen one like it anywhere else either! Haleyb...thanks very much...there was fun had by all...even the Grince.

Day 6 cont.

After a nap and some detailed face paint work we donned our costumes and headed back to the MK for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. Can I just say I was on the lookout for Child and Family Services all night. Woody and Buzz insisted on wearing their costumes of Pooh and Tigger and these things are surface of the sun hot. I kept waiting for them to bust us for trying to overheat our children. I kept trying to pull the hoods off, but they were having none of it. No, Mom, it doesn't look right like that. The CM's played it up big...they kept saying, "I didn't know Pooh and Tigger were signing autographs here." Woody was thrilled. He ran around hoo hoo hoo hooing all night. We made our way straight to Adventureland and headed through the first candy line. And that's when it happened. My romantic interlude with King Louie. Apparently most kids don't know Jungle Book that well anymore. I loved that one as a kid. Especially the music..so I started singing....Well I'm the king of the swingers...the jungle VIP....and we cut a serious rug. It was great. We also nabbed some serious candy. From there we got the family photo made and headed to Frontierland for more candy. We cleaned up! Buzz ate at least 3 pieces of candy between each stop. Woody ate some here and there, but was concerned with messing up his face paint. Luckily, I brought some extra along...we did not want to ruin the Disney magic for all those children who thought this was the real Pooh and Tigger. After bagging our sweets here we decided to check out the parade..and we waited and waited....seems the rain was causing float issues. After moving on we heard music playing and stopped next to the castle just in time to see the rainy day cavalcade parade. It was REALLY good. We also got tons more candy. I am telling the total and complete truth when I tell you that we still have candy right now from this event. I think the characters felt bad that it wasn't the real parade and they loaded us up! From there we headed to Tommorowland to ride Buzz again! Could it be, a rematch? Will I emerge on top? Will the Grince get what is coming to him? Victory will be mine..oh crap. I got stuck with Buzz the whirling dervish again in what I can only describe as a cruel and calculating move on the Grince's part. I think I ended up with 1500 while the Grince had something like 999,999. I mean you can't actually say to your child that you don't want to ride with them because they twirl the space ship too much. They would never understand that. I can't say, "Look, while you are a championship french fry eater of monumental proportions, your spaceship driving, for lack of a better word sucks." I have to just suck it up and be a good mommy and be happy with my 1500. I mean I'm sure it's something that I won't even remember months from my trip...that was in October. I am currently practicing my "look it's Jennifer Aniston naked" distraction for next trip. I will be sure to scoop up Woody and run. Victory will EVENTUALLY be mine.
From there we watched the fireworks while making our way to Pooh's Honeypots and thinking about my dismal Buzz Lightyear performance. Those fireworks were truly some of the best I've ever seen including the Welcome Home from the Gulf War fireworks I saw in D.C. Great narration too. Upon exiting from Pooh we ran into Eeyore and Piglet. We'd been wanting to find the real Pooh and Tigger all night since the boys were dressed like them so we asked if they'd be out soon. They said they were coming up next so we hit IASW and returned and sure enough, there they were. The CM handler was more excited than a group of preteen cheerleaders. :cheer2: He couldn't believe that we were there. And then it happened...the most magical part of our trip :wizard: The handler asked if Pooh and Tigger could take pictures of our boys w/their own cameras...they wanted to put them in their scrapbooks back in the hundred acre woods. As Napoleon Dynamite would say, uh "Heck Yes!" Woody was estatic and vowed to look at every Pooh episode from now on closely so that he might spot their scrapbooks.
From there we hit County Bounty and with more pixie dust we were able to see the elusive Little Einsteins...they were the mystery guests. We were pumped. Even though we ended up with any extra kid in our picture. Oh,well. After bagging more candy we headed home and to bed.

Next Day 7 AK and sadly enough our trip home...see if you can tell who the real Pooh and Tigger are!

I just want to say that I am having a great time reading your trip report. I am sitting here litteraly laughing out loud! :rotfl2: My DH is like 'what's so funny?". Your boys are adorable. Can't wait for the rest of your report.

Loralie

Just wanted to let you know I'm really enjoying your report, and anxiously await the final installment.

I really am enjoying your report! I will also be going this winter with a 2 and a 4 year old and it is good to get an idea of what it will be like. I think I will be doing more Princess stuff though. My dd is obsessed.

Thanks skent...so nice. I'm having so much fun writing this I really hate to end it, but alas we were really only there 7 days and as much as I'd like to make up day 8, 9 and 10, it wouldn't be honest. And if these trip reports are anything, they are painfully honest. So far I've admitted that I take my kids on rides they might be a wee bit afraid of, I'm a terrible mother when it comes to nutrition, I am prejudiced against stinky people, I'm a bad loser, I shamelessy dance with primates and I have a somewhat Grumpy husband who won't allow our beautiful children to sing harmless Disney songs at the top of their lungs in public (so that one is about him...who cares!) hmmm what will day 7 bring? Let's get to it!

Day 7...our final day :sad2:

We decide to get our stuff packed and taken care of first thing in the morning before we ever leave ASMo. We get it ready and head down to the ME checkout. Luckily we brought all of our stuff with us and we both went. TIP ALERT: Do this or else it will do no good. They turned away ten million people while we were waiting because they didn't have their luggage, their entire party wasn't there or both. Okay, it wasn't really ten million, but it was at least ten and those ten people were very unhappy and they didn't look near as cool as the Grince and the Uber Planner. And we all know that looks are the ONLY thing that counts! Just kidding..kind of :teeth:
As we were walking back to our room, I discovered to my shopaholic horror that I actually had spending money left. That won't do! So, I decided to buy a few more souvenirs including gold Mickey ears for Woody who was jonesin' for some bad. The only problem was they only had adult sizes. He had a hilarious cockeyed look for the rest of the day. Everyone looked at him like "God bless that poor child" Loved it! We loaded up on the bus and headed out to AK. Everyone we'd talked to said they liked this park the least so we saved it for our half day. We kind of wished we hadn't because we really enjoyed it. Like inexperienced morons, who never read the disboards, we had only rented the stroller for six days, but it was apparent we would need one on this day...oh, I'm so stupid! Why didn't I listen! Oh, the inhumanity! Actually it wasn't that big a deal, I'm just trying to drag out my final report. After we picked up our stroller we headed to the Tree of Life and It's Tough to be a Bug. That tree is amazing. I could spend hours just looking at it. The Bug waiting area is also really funny. I love the movie posters..cracked me up. We ended up with a great seat. See, we figured out the whole don't rush into the theater thing. That way we ended up in the middle. I know this may come as a shock to all of you, but Woody was, brace yourselves, a wee bit scared! The golden ears went flying in terror. We had to search for them after the show. Buzz's take on the show "Those bugs were kind of stinky and buzzy, but I liked it." I will never buy another guidebook. I personally found the bug show to be outstanding. From there we headed to Africa and by Africa I mean the one in AK, not the real Africa, I already spent all my money. We picked up a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari and then headed to Tusker House for lunch. It wasn't open yet so we decided to get our picture made w/Baloo and Louie. They were bored and glad we came by. From there we went back and had lunch. The food there was one of the better counter services. Not Sunshine Seasons great, but good. It was also straight out of the oven and scalded my tastebuds. Good thing we were headed home and all my serious eating was almost finished. We rode the Safari and it was one of the Grince's favorites. He was one with nature...I mean he didn't get naked or anything, but he really liked it. Buzz had no comment and Woody was satisfied to save Little Red. Does anyone else think that plot is a little thin? Our tour guide was about as concerned with the fate of Little Red as I was with the outcome of the Flavor of Love. From there we headed to Dinoland, but on the way we were severely distracted by the African drums. I think Buzz and Woody played them for at least 20 minutes. We also ran into Flik along the way and had our picture made with him. He was a cool looking character. When we got to Dinoland, the first thing we saw was the Boneyard. That thing attracts kids like a moth to a flame. It's Disney's other crack house. I could not get them to leave and can I just say that place completely stressed me out. Once they take off, forget about keeping track of them. There are only 50 different places they can come out at. And I saw approximately 3 parents napping while their kids played here. I was a nervous wreck. I finally parked myself near the exit since there is only one and waited. After what seemed like an eternity, the Grince rounded them up and we went to ride Dinosaur and NO, I did not make Woody ride. I rode it by myself and embarassed myself a great deal. Since I was solo, I was in a car with a group of people that all knew each other. They had a little girl with them that was completely terrified from the minute it started until it was over. She had her head buried in her mother's lap the entire ride. The rest of them were trying to act like it wasn't scary to calm her down so I'm just kind of there. Well, I'd never ridden this ride so I didn't know what the ending was like. And guess who happened to be right where the Carnataur (or however you spell it) was when the lights came back on. Yes, that would be me. The screaming idiot single rider. I have never before or since screamed that loud. It scared the holy crap out of me. This, of course sent the scared girl into all new hysterics. I felt really bad and really embarassed and could not get out of the ride quickly enough. Or so I thought. Until I saw the after ride picture. Lovely, my moment of terror was captured on film. :scared: I should of bought the picture because it was truly the most hilarious picture of myself I have ever seen. The Grince then rode and commented that he didn't know what I thought was so scary about it. Blah, blah, blah...he didn't look death in the eye, what does he know? From there we hit the midway at our state fair and saw all the carnies that had come to town...oh wait, I mean we rode Triceratops Spin.
We went on to Camp Minnie Mickey and hunted down the last of our autograph friends. We definitely ended on a high note with Chip and Dale. The stole the golden ears and wore them. They took our marker and wouldn't return it. They chased Woody and Buzz and tickled them. They were funny chipmunks and we loved them. We bid them farewell and the AK too. It was time to head back to ME and on home.

Post Script:
Here's the things I think I learned:
Our boys don't need a nap at WDW and furthermore they won't take one. Even if we haul our cookies all the way back to the hotel. For us it worked great to stay at the parks all day and go to sleep around 8 or 9 at night. They didn't have any meltdowns or become radioactive in any way. No glowing or phosphorous. But that's just us. I totally understand that for other people naps work great.
We did deviate somewhat from the PLAN, but it was okay. However, if anyone thinks I'll ever go to WDW w/out a plan, they are on crack. You may not need no stinkin' plan, but I do. My name is Tikigoddess, and I'm a planner. Love you Tikigoddess!
Value resorts are a great value if you only sleep and shower there...and the icons are worth the stay alone.
The Grince sometimes needs more attention than the other small children. If left without enough sleep or food, he will turn on you.
I take my children on rides they're not sure about. I wouldn't take them on something they are terrified of, but if they're just unsure and a little nervous, they need to try it. Woody was scared of every ride, with the exception of Pooh and Buzz, yet he rode several more than once- by request. Oh, and I'm not sure he understands what saying he is scared of something means.
You can live on french fries and sweets and have as much energy as the engergizer bunny. You may not poop much, but you will survive. Buzz has proven this theory. He's also proven that you can sum most of the rides up in one sentence.
The parades are worth staking out a place early for. And I will let anyone who has triplets or better squeeze in next to us any time.
I also now know that I enjoy my family. I thought I did before this trip, but now I know I do. My kids are funny and my husband keeps me on my toes.
Getting autographs is not a bad thing and after awhile, even I feel like we're meeting someone famous. :cool1:
