Morning, everyone. What would be the best by to obtain fastpasses without them being sold out? I'd really like to know. pirate:

Thanks,
Kevin

Just make sure you get to the park early, and head right for whatever attraction it is you want a fastpass for.

The best way to get fastpasses that you want is to get them early - don't wait until 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon because often by this time all the fastpasses are gone. As soon as the time frame starts on your first fastpass you can get another one for another ride/show.

I thought it was two hours after you get the fast pass are you then allowed to get another one.

Also, don't feel like you have to go to the ride the second you can use your fast pass. Example: You can return to the ride from 2:00 to 4:00- don't rush to the ride at 2pm- that's what everyone else will be doing and the fastpass line will get long. Wait till later. -Steph

The 2-hour window is what it used to be; it has somewhat modified now. Each attraction is different, and so you will always need to check your fastpass to see when your particular 'window' opens to get another one. There's been times when I've gotten a fastpass, and to my great delight, found that my next window was only within 45 minutes or so. So, always check your actual fastpass!!!

I have read that you are allowed another fast pass once your first pass window is open OR two hours after you got the first fast pass. ( IE which ever comes first) Is this not correct then???

Right.

It's an either/or situation.

In any event, your last FastPass will tell you when you can get your NEXT FastPass.

This doesn't really work as you might think. Becuase the fast passes are for what ever 10 minutes or so. So if you show up right at 2:10, 2:20, 2:30 etc etc, it will be just as busy at the fast pass enterance as it was at 2:00

Correct except -- The worst case has been "OR two hours & five minutes" but it could be less, for example "OR 45 minutes" depending on how busy the park is.

There have been various experiments in the past where the "OR two hours" varied according to how busy was the ride the next fast pass you wanted was for.

I think some attractions even use 5 minute increments on the Fastpass. I've walked up to the FP machine at Test Track with a 1:10 return showing, then my ticket read 1:15. So you're right-- it doesn't really matter what part of your "return window" you show up.

The whole fast pass thing is confusing, but I do like it. We have held as many as 3 fastpasses at a time-it has to do with when you got it and when the ride time is-seems to be a combination of these.

The problem with showing up when your Fastpass window first starts is that many people show up right before their window starts and clog up the FastPass entrance.

If everyone would just wait at least a few minutes after their FastPass window starts then you wouldn't have to wade through those that are clogging up the entrance to get in the line.

Maybe these people finished the other things they thought they could do before their fast pass time and got there earlier than they thought they would and are afraid they wouldn't get back during their window if they try to squeeze one more thing in before trying to use their fast pass. If they aren't regulars, they may not know what they can do in a short period of time to fill in the few minutes and just don't know what else to do with their time while they wait.

Is this still true if the park will be open until 10PM or later?

Yes, on some of the most popular rides. We have been at the MK when the last fast pass was gone for Buzz by mid afternoon and the park didn't close until 10:00. This of course was during a holiday week. It has occurred during Easter Break and the week between Christmas and New Year's. Other popular summer weeks like July 4th could be possibilities.

This is the DH.. Don't have my own account yet.. :rolleyes1

We actually picked up fastpasses for test track by say 11 ish in the morning for 8 to 10 O'clock that night... Again, It just depends on how popular the attraction is. I think the fast passes are given at an X per hour type format, so as not to get too many people in line...

BUT they are GREAT!!

I think the computer models that they use vary the return time based on the feedback they've gotten since it was implemented.

I picked up TT tickets on Sunday that said we could get other FP's immediately at another FP station. :cool1:
