Anytime I get excited about my next trip you can find me tinkering around with my touring plans. I'm one of those people who get a lot of enjoyment out of planning it all in advance, and touringplans is my addiction!
I definitely agree with Optimize, Evaluate, and keep messing around. It seems even if I pick Minimize Walking it often sends us all over the place. When I'm visiting on a crowd level 2 day I just don't need that in my life.
Also agree with Breaks. We take afternoon breaks and I've also used breaks for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, for the Dessert Parties, etc.
My issue is that I plan for multigenerational groups, and I have riders and non-riders. I use the most popular attraction (usually the thrill ride) during optimization and then in the Note I add in where the non-riders will be (playground, etc.). But I really wish I could "pair" things into groups or tracks and have a Thrill track and a Family track or something, and it would optimize FP. (For example, will it take as long for three people to ride Rock n Roller Coaster as it will for the rest of us to go see Voyage of Little Mermaid? Should I FP the Thrill folks for the coaster or do it at rope drop)?
Still, for the price, having those custom plans is AWESOME.
My family all teases me about my planning, but they also brag to others about how much I help them see & do when we go... so I know they secretly appreciate it
and once we get there I can go on autopilot because I did all the plotting upfront and I can just execute.
Enjoy
