Sorta excited. I am really anxious for more info. about them. I am not thrilled with the announced bunk beds in the one bedroom. A regular bed would be more practical for us as if we got that big of a unit we'd be traveling with other families and I don't see couples wanting the bunks. I am also not sure about the distance to SSR for dining and the main pool etc. if you don't have a car...it looks like it could be quite a hike.

So I don't know yet....they look really cool tho and are definitely interesting.

I just need more info DVC!!! Hello!? Can you hear me?!

We stayed in the Treehouse Villas in the early 90's. We LOVED it there. They were well designed with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and at that time they were the only place with Washers and Dryers. We loved having the kitchen and it was SO peaceful.
I remember sitting on the deck in the morning and watching the Peacocks. You really did feel as if you were in a Treehouse. They were great.
I also remember that we rented a Golf Cart for the week to get around. They are a bit removed from everything. We carted to the Lake Buena Vista club restaurant as well as over to DTD.
I wonder if Golf Carts will be an option now?

I can't wait to try them out. They look like they would make for a relaxing vacation for multiple days. BLT looks interesting for a night.

We will definately be staying at the THV at some point in the future. Who knows maybe they will become our favorite spot to stay. After a busy day at the parks they seem to be the perfect spot to "hide" and relax. They definatley added value to our "Home" away from home

See, posts like this have me worried. I want a treehouse for this summer's trip, too! And my brother and his family want one, too! And there's only 60 of them! Please don't be going the weeks I'm going! Ok, you can come, but only 57 other people who need THVs can come with you.
And where are the points charts? "Supposed to be just like 2 brs" is not definite enough for me. I want OFFICIAL news. I may need to buy more points! This whole thing is very stressful!

I voted shout it out. We are very excited about the treehouses. We don't visit the World as often as others so it's not in the cards for us for another couple of years. But we're already talking about when we can arrange a stay in them.

We're very excited. We're in the process of buying another resale contract right now so we have enough points for the THV! Hopefully they are priced like a 2 bedroom or we still might not have enough points.

We are so excited and I really hope the rumor of it being the same points as a two bedroom is true. That would be great for SSR owners and it would be the only DVC with a "free standing" home away from home. I stayed it one as a teen and it was so great. Beautiful views all around and I remember the peacocks greeting us every morning. It's where Disney meets nature...just beautiful!

Personally I vote for keeping THV a secret. We should start complaining about them early and often to keep all of those SSR haters away!

In case you are wondering, I think those BWV hallways are way tooo long as well. Non owners should stay away!

Well, I will be on the phone in Feb trying to reserve July 26 - July 30 or 31. I hope it's the same number of points as the 2-BR as well. I'm with you...there's room for about 57 more people!!!

Fortunately, I have my week at VB booked (1st trip to VB with our new VB points), and if I could wrap it up with a THV stay for a few nights, life would be grand!!!

We're not overlapping each other, so that increases both our chances. We're hoping for 4 nights starting June 30nd, then BCV for 4 nights, which will be our first trip with our new BCV points!
Might try for 8 nights at THV, but don't want to get greedy! I'll be thrilled with four.
