Dear Andy,

I am thrilled and my heart is heavy all in the same post......Andy, I am so very impressed and grateful that you followed through with the Andytars that you said you would do for a few very lucky "winners" (and a couple of us that you had mercy on).

I was just talking with my husband about how this was for you. We all commented on your video in our family.....it was one of the "I don't think I have a chance, did you see this one" entries!

When you made it to Top 20 that came as no surprise at all. What was a huge surprise was the fact that you didn't make it to Top 10. The emotions I have shared here in not making it to Top 20 are a drop in the bucket compared to what it must have felt like for you. I appreciated your honesty in needing some time. I respect that so much. Again, there are so many things going on in the world, I know you have perspective, but it still does sting.

I want to let you know, that I am overwhelmed with how much this avatar means to me. You were so close in the contest, deservedly so, and came still took the time to come through for me. I feel as if I won tonight. Thanks Andy! This contest has brought forth an abundance of excitement and disappointment but the camaraderie and shared love of Disney is shown throughout. Thank you for reminding me why I entered the contest in the first place. I really truly love the magic of Disney!

I'm not really much of a Ty Pennington, but I wanted to see if I could help DISgeeksfromDC with her roller-skating rink ...

Wow! I step away from the computer for a few hours [What a long -- but fun -- day with the family!! ], and now our basement roller skating rink is complete! Thanks, Madbrad, for overseeing the process! (I owe you one! ) And, Cat, I see that you’ve added an entire amusement-games wing. ‘Love the arcade, bowling lanes and skee-ball!

Excellent job on the venue! The basement looks fabulous!

What happened to all the skate happy people chatting it up during the day? Did they wimp out, once they saw the quality of the rink?

Nope! Admittedly, my roller-skating skills are a bit rusty, and I'll probably "biff it" a few times.... But what are a few bruises here and there? (After all, it still is long-sleeve and long-pants weather! ) 'Just don't laugh out loud at my efforts. That's all I ask... ('Not sure I can handle a bruised ego as well!)

ANYWAY... ‘Looks like Mr. DISgeeks has just finished setting up the new home-theater projector for our virtual media room. I’ve brought buckets and buckets of hot buttered popcorn!*** ‘Looks like it’s time for our late, late-night movie feature: Xanadu
