Scrapbookers: My mom went to a Wal-Mart near Disney and they had a great selection of Disney themed stickers, page headers, etc. It was also a lot cheaper than the items I normally get at Michael's or JoAnn's. She brought me home a bag of items and I could not believe the price! So, if you have any "rest days" planned during any of your trips and have a car, it's worth the trip.

I am still working on the scrapbook from our DCL cruise last year. I am so much more picky with my Disney scrapbooks than regular pages.

Actually, Eric chose Fleagle after a L'il Abner character named Evil Eye Fleagle. He just always liked the name. But, being a disney board he didn't think that he should use "Evil Eye" so he just went with "Fleagle".

The End.

I thought he might have got Fleagle from Fleagle Beagle. After all, he is a Disney character.

"Fleagle Beagle is a fictional character in Disney's Scrooge McDuck universe who appears in "The Comic Book Crooks", written by Mark Evanier and drawn by Kay Wright.

The Beagle Boys (specifically 176-671, 176-176, and 176-761) hatch a scheme to steal Scrooge McDuck's money using an elephant which will, in theory, suck up all the money with its trunk. Apparently it would then shoot it back out after they had gotten safely away.

The Beagles go to their uncle, Fleagle Beagle, for help. Fleagle Beagle owns a shop called "Honest Fleagle's Used Elephants". To convince them to buy the elephant, he offers them eight million purple stamps as a free gift to go along with the elephant, though it is revealed that the eight million purple stamps can't be traded in for anything. They are simply "nice to have".

Fleagle also appears in several episodes of Sealab 2021.

Skinny Minnie still is lingering in the D.C. Metro area! (She wanted to encourage her friend Dinky Donald to visit the sights downtown!)

Oooooh! Great tip! (Thanks, JenniferAtl!) :teeth:

Hey Gang! I did a quick skim of the posts, some of you have said thank you for posting the pics...

YOU ARE WELCOME!

This is a quick visit so I can put up a few more photos.

The boys loved all the tricks during the Ligts, Motors, Action show.

Big Doin's at the Pirate and Princess Party last night!

I put together a special headband for me, so of course Tigger and Mickey wanted to have some kind of hat, too.

If you look closely, you'll see Mickey with Princess crown and Tigger with Pirate hat!

Here they are with a Cute Castmember at Casey's Corner.

HauntedMansionFan and FirstTimeCaller: the boys insisted on this shout-out from your fave attraction!

Kenny - these pirates told me to tell you,Aaaarrrrrr matey!

Wow, Cat! It sure seems like Tigger and Mickey are really enjoying themselves while visiting the parks and getting to meet some new friends. I see that they had fun at LMA (that would be Lights Motor Action Extreme Stunt Show  ). Now why haven't we seen them having fun on any of the rides or enjoying any of the parades and fireworks?

Because their official photographer wants to have some time on her own. Mickey arranges VIP treatment for himself and Tigger during attractions and events to avoid the papparrazi. Besides I'm not as talented as HMF to ride and film at the same time!

Hey fellow DISers. Since we're flying thru this thread faster then any of the previous 2, I figured I would get a head start on the name for the new thread. How about this?

The Disney CMO, DVC, Trip Report, Scrapbooking, Home Decorating, LGMH, Flat Mickey/Skinny Minnie/Dinky Donald Adventures Thread.

If I'm not mistaken, don't some of the rides take the pictures for you? :confused3

Maybe like SM, EE, TT, ToT? (Giving BTM a little practice!!)

Wait, isn't there this thing called Photo Pass? Or is that the papparrazi you were talking about?

I dunno MadBrad. 'Seems a little wordy to me. How about we condense it into one giant acronym ... in typical DISboard fashion! ;)

Perfect!!

I'm just so glad we're not getting flamed for going off topic!:)

yes the worst kind of papparrazi - they charge you! For the price of one cheesy photo of me trying desperately to hold on to the boys, I can eat at least 2 meals and a snack. Not a good trade for me. Now if you guys want to wire me some $$$ I'll get photopass on the job!

Very cool! How did he make that?

For a pirate X is always sufficient. You can sign your name and mark yer treasure all in one fell swoop!

I'm not sure of all the details but it was something like this:

We had some of those glow in the dark sunglasses that sell for $25 each at the parks (we picked them up on clearance at Wal-mart last year for $3!!) and DH took the tubing out of the glasses, welded some coil to make the Mickey Ears and then wrapped the tubing around the Mickey.

DH and I were just watching the History Channel's True Pirates of the Caribbean -- I thought of you!

A word of warning: When you rag off, you have to race to get it right the first time, because -- once the glaze dries -- "tough noogies" for you. (This can become a royal pain if you're a perfectionist like me, because it's harder to "touch up" any problem spots.) Of course, maybe the process is more forgiving the more colors you use... You might want to consider ragging on, since it's easier to add glaze than it is to remove it quickly.

'Just a thought... Plus, it's probably just my own personal "issue"... ;) That said, after redoing one of my living room walls a few times**, I finally covered one of the rough patches with a giant mirror! :rotfl:

**Incidentally, it's episodes like this that make DH insist that I take myself too seriously...

Thanks for the tip! Our plan is to experiment on some poster board first to see which style and how much of each color to use ... or we may just hire someone to do it for us...we found a "friend of a friend" who is starting her own business again (now that kids are grown)

Hey, we are going to Wal-Mart for groceries so thanks for this tip! I didn't even think of looking there...

Since it seems like many of us scrap on this thread, should we start our own scrapbook thread just to show off our Disney or other crafts/pages? That way we won't be going OT and possibly boring those folks who aren't interested?

Scrappers or non-scrappers, please let me know. My feelings won't be hurt.

I absolutely love this and agree with DisGeeks that we need to use the Abbreviated version.

Perfect!!

I'm just so glad we're not getting flamed for going off topic!:)

Sorry for taking us OT with DVC and scrapbooking...I'll try to refrain (even suggested above that we do a separate thread...) It's just that in this down time when there isn't much CMO stuff, it's hard to stay on-topic.

So, CMO Top 3 -- come tell us about CMO stuff! When do you leave? Do you fly 1st class/business? Could you choose your own airline? Where are you staying at? Has a schedule been put forth yet?

I'm so very excited for you!! The contest begins in less than a week!!:scared1: :cool1:

Hey, Cat and anyone else going to Disney Land or Disney World in the next few weeks: PM me if you want to consider a Photopass share.

Hey! Just popping in after a LONG day! I don't have much time, and I haven't had a chance to go back and read all that I've missed today (so I apologize if there are any comment-needing posts or questions that I haven't responded to yet! I probably won't get to them tonight!)

I just figured I'd take the chance to steer us back on topic by answering a few of Marshay's questions...

1) I leave Pittsburgh on Wednesday the 16th at 12:50 pm and arrive in Orlando at 3:01! AND, I just got word that Cat doesn't fly out that day until 4:30 so we'll be in the Orlando airport at the same time and she is going to try to meet me at my terminal. How cool is she?!?!

2) Business class

3) They (Disney) handled all of the flight arrangements. I'm on USAirways one way and Southwest the other. I could have recommended a flight if there was one I really wanted to be on and they gave us veto power if an arranged flight was too early/late. I, however, just felt thrilled to have someone else make the plans, so I'm on the flights they scheduled for me! I think Tripp mentioned in an earlier post that we were asked when we wanted to leave if we don't win. I said I want to enjoy a little more time in the park regardless, so we don't leave to fly home until a little after 8:00 pm on the 22nd. Also, the winner - if they are able to secure the extra couple of days off - might stay two more days after the announcement to fill out the proper paper work and begin the training process. (whoa . . .long answer! Sorry!)

4) We (meaning, my group) are staying at the Yacht Club resort. I am assuming Tripp and David are there as well (it would make sense for transportation purposes!) but I don't know that for a fact.

5) Nope. No schedule yet. I'm not even entirely sure what to do with my luggage yet. I don't know if we'll be using Disney's Magical Express or some other form of transportation. I'm hoping to that info will be out on Monday or Tuesday! One of the CM's I spoke to on the phone last week alluded to the fact that we might not see a full schedule until we arrive. Our basic itinerary might come out just a day before we depart...

OKAY, I think those are the basic answers. Any other questions?

Love ya guys! Have a great night!
