Marshay: For "X" you could say "Xtra Large Ice Cream" and put a pic of the Kitchen Sink from Beaches and Cream.

Regarding the LGMH: I confess...I work for The Big Orange. I will ask a paint merchant on Monday if the Disney paint is being phased out. I have not heard anything and it is very popular.

Yeah, so far for "X" I got:

ReX
MeXico
PiXie Dust
X marks the spot
eXtra cute kid!

Ok, so that's cheating...

And believe it or not, we picked one of the Disney Paint Colors for our Dining Room -- Star Command Blue!! We decided to go very colorful and use a purple, pink and blue Faux Painting style (Ragging, prob rag off).

Very cool! You should post a pic! We are doing my daughter's bathroom in the green and purple Disney paint colors for Tinkerbell.

Oh, now you've got me started!!! I LOVE to see what others are doing! So definitely post anything you want!

This is what I did for last year's mini-schedule...I think I'll do it again since it was super easy.

This is the book I started with (you've probably seen it around craft stores)

And for ThreeGuys -- Remember this is the abbreviated version!! :rotfl2:

That is adorable Marshay!! I really like the way you did that one. I have too many Disney scapbooks to count. My favorites are the small ones, like my autograph book. I get all my autographs on cardstock so I can scrapbook them!! Well I should say I used too. That was before my kiddos "outgrew" getting autographs!!:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Maybe someone can help me make a choice - I REALLY want to go to WDW, but the family is too busy and do not want to go. (besides the cost of taking 7 people!) Is going by myself a good idea? Who has gone alone and what was your experience?

thanks for helping!

I have made several trips to WDW on my own, and have always enjoyed myself. It's like Marshay said, you just have so much freedom in deciding to do something or nothing.

It also depends on your perspective, the first time you will feel so relieved not to have the "what do you want to do now" conversations, or the having to compromise what you want for the good of the group. It's all about YOU.

Eventually, there will be the tipping point, not the first trip, but maybe later, where "the grass is greener" on the other side, and you miss having someone to share the fun with, but I highly recommend it for everyone at least once.

Now, one caveat that Marshay pointed out is there is a feeling of "conspicuousness" sometimes, so if you are someone that can't go to a movie by yourself or eat alone, then it's definitely not going to be enjoyable.

If you want to ask any questions, feel free to PM me or email me at cathie@cathie1.com.

Hey everyone! I don't have much time, but I definitely wanted to pop in and say hello! I've been trying to check in and keep up with the latest topics, but I've been swamped with things that need to get done before Wednesday! I'm so sorry that I haven't been around! I'll try my hardest to get on and fire up some more great conversation at some point this weekend, but I can't promise anything! :(

Marshay - LOVE the scrapbook.
Cat - keep those pictures coming!
Tripp - great job getting some press!

Hope to chat with you all again soon!

Norman--born in Ardmore! That's why I said that you'd have to be the only one "from the plains on the street of main"--cause I won't be able to be there next week, but you will. :)

We need to get together sometime. We come up to Norman regularly to shop and movies.

Okay . . . getting a complex here. There are now at least a few folks from the Oklahoma area . . . FOUR from Washington state . . . FOUR from Atlanta . . . where are all the Pennsylvanians? Come on guys, with our weather I KNOW you are inside on the computer most of the time!!!

(sorry, random post, I know . . . I just want to meet some more local DISers! I have posted frequently on a "Hi from PA" thread and actually found someone who lives 15 minutes from me.... so that was cool...)

:thumbsup2

OKAY . . . gotta run to Kinkos and then head to a meeting. See you guys later!

:)

I just wanted to pop in for a quick "HI!"

BTM - I saw the link you sent for the GDP article. Really cool! I'll be stopping in to see Tripp Monday afternoon, be looking for a photo soon!

Marshay - I ADORE your book! My neighbor got me into scrapbooking about a year ago (she sells Creative Memories) but I just can't tune into my creative senses properly. I wish I had your talents!!

Justin - Don't think that just because we're from the ATL that we don't love you, too!! I'm psyched for all the CMO finalists!! I know we'll all be watching all three of you next week competing in you fun little "challenges"

Cat - Glad to see you are having a much better time! Loving all the pictures!

Alright, gotta run...I'm getting a new digital camera today, and I think DH has been suckered into buying a magical ladder from Costco. Catch up with everyone later!!

I may find that this has been clarified while catching up, but please forgive my ignorance...LGMH????

You all are very acronym driven here and I am in the process of making a DIS Acronym Translation book to keep up. :lmao:

Thanks for the lessons on how to be seen as a DISer! I was going to Home Depot today anyway. Now I will be sure to get my LGMH.

Here is the link to the abbreviations for the DIS.

Was going to post the link as well and when I got there, NO LGMH in the list!
I PMed Kaylajr to add it though.

Now that is too funny!!! Of course, I didn't read the thread...just ASSUMED that LGMH would be there!:rotfl:

Marshay - Where did you get that original book you started with? We just went out to Michael's and I didn't see anything like that. Does it have a specific name? Thanks!:thumbsup2

We should make it an Atlanta gathering...Jennifer...you game?

 Watching "Suite Life" episode about bowling against the St. Mark hotel...

Ilsa says "We can beat your fleagles anytime." What!?!?!?!

Did I hear her right...where did the Fleagles nickname come from?

Does fleagle mean buttox? :confused3
