Well. Waiting again! Were waiting on the sellers now to close our SSR resale. Our closing documents and Bank Check are there.. Just SITTING there.. How long did it take your sellers to turn in there papers for you who bought resale?( <----by the way doesnt this make u want coffee?) Cant wait to make our Reservation!

Closing on our contracts varied, but I am certain none of them closed in less than one or two weeks. We have five contracts, all purchased through resale. I think your closing papers give about 30 days for the sale to close and in my case it took nearly that long for a couple of them to close.

In every case we sent our signed papers with a check a day or two after receiving them. A couple of the contracts were being sold from family trusts and the trustees of the estates lived in different states. The most timely sale was a purchase from people living in the UK.

Buying resale certainly saves money but the buyer has to be patient if they go that route. Just stay on top of it with your broker and they may be able to nudge the seller along. Good luck. The wait will be worth it with many happy vacations!

I am feeling lucky! Our closing docs and check arrived at the title company today. I was so happy to learn they already have the seller docs. We might be closed tomorrow. Sorry you are having to wait - hope you will be able to close soon!

I think 2 weeks would not be out of the question. Although you may have signed the papers there is no telling if the sellers got their papers the same day as you did or for that matter are the sellers away on travel or whatever. Patience is a virtue!

Going through the long wait myself. Timeshare Store has provided comfort, but I find it odd that I signed and sent in a rather hefty bank check on March 10th, and the sellers (who would collect a rather hefty bank check) can't get around to signing and returning.

I was in the system 4 days after closing just about 2 weeks ago. I was able to get a 2 bedroom at BWV for the week right before Labor Day. I was pretty surprised.

I hate to tell you all this, but, I sent in my closing paperwork on a Monday..
Closed on Wednesday morning..
By Wednesday afternoon the contract showed in my account ( points not correct, though )
On Thursday my points were correct and I reallocated.

Well, still nothing from the seller. I pull the plug on the 8th and start the long process over again. If they were going to do this I just wish they had told me earlier and I could have started over. Both TSS and Title Co., have reached out to the seller.

Fingers still crossed.

Anybody had this happen? Am I out any costs (closing etc.)?
