The Tiki Birds....I can't believe it!!!!

I don't think my kids have ever seen it. DH and I were just recently discussing some of the rides/attractions that we skip unintentionally, when making sure we hit the MAJOR things. Like the Tiki room, and the teacups. For some reason, we're always on a mad dash for Toon Town & we zip right past the teacups.

We are planning this trip to see more of the "original Disney" stuff & the new 50th celebration stuff. We're also hoping to sqeeze in a trip for just DH & I over the next year & then we'll be able to go at a quicker pace & see more things.

When I was 3 I had the 45 of the Tiki room... always a big favorite because we lived near Disneyland.

I am kind of a grown up now and still love the Tiki room. My children and I always have to go see it at DW when we are there... Yes, I still prefer the original that is in Disneyland.

We were at DW for the MNSSHP late night... My son and I were watching the Tiki room right before the park closed AND it all stopped and the lights went up in the middle of song. Everyone in the room looked around at each other. The attendant was no where in sight. I finally got up (of course I was dressed as Cruella DeVil) and had to walk out to the front turnstile to get a CM. That was that. The birds went to sleep and it was over. It was just funny. On and then off so quickly. :wizard:

Live365 plays the old and new version of the song. I prefer the original but still like the newer one as well. We try and catch it everytime we go..smjj

I prefer the original. This is one of our favorite things in the park.

We save it for when we are really tired. I know the MK in California has the dole whip and pineapple juice here. I can't remember if Florida does.

We like to get something cold, then see the show. I think we like it as much as we do for the rest and refreshment as much as the show.

We also like it because it's so weird. Where else but Disney would you EVER see something like it?
