The Tiki Birds....I can't believe it!!!!

I have been listening to the Disney CD with the Tiki Birds song on it and it is making me want to see the Tiki Birds in MK. I have always avoided this show before. I can't believe that listening to the song is changing my mind about this attraction. Has anyone else changed their minds about the Tiki Birds or is it just my surprising appreciation of Gilbert Gottfried's voice that changed my mind!!

It's a WONDERFUL show!!!....a WALT orginal, well, at least in it's orginal format (that can still be seen in DL ). The WDW version, while "updated" is really great!!! GO!!!!, ENJOY!!!....it's a bunch of fun!

HGTV built a great backyard pergola today on one of it's shows. DH mentioned the only thing missing was a couple of tiki birds. I was thinking the same thing!

My exact sentiments about SpectroMagic. I love it, but boy is it out there!

But yeah, gotta love the Tiki Room, even with the new show! And as a lighting designer, I would go just for the lighting. (The lights are that cool.) And don't forget Iago's beautiful joke... “Well, I'm exhausted. I think I'll go over to the Hall of Presidents and take a nap.”

My DD loves the Tiki Room. I saw it ages ago as a young teen, but now it makes me grin as - you know how songs stick in your head - the soundtrack in my mind is a **slightly** offcolor version I heard a couple of deejays doing several years ago. Nothing I'd be embarrassed for DD to hear, so not a naughty version, just fun. It's silly, goofy, fun..... which is why we go to WDW anyway!

The Enchanted Tiki Room is a Disney classic and not to be missed in my opinion. It is the REAL Disney in all its glory.

Definitely check the Tiki Room-Under New Management. We LOVED it! Of course, we love Iago. But it was fun. And we got in no wait and very little crowd during the 2 times we went to it.

I must be in the minority. I don't like the newer version as well as the original. Gilbert Gottfried's voice is like nails on a blackboard to me. Kids want to go.

We just got back and went to the Tiki Room for the first time. My 3 yr old liked it. The rest of us didn't. This and "Tarzan Rocks" are the only things we have decided not to go to again. BORING.

I still try to go every trip (when it's open), but I don't like the new version. It was a Walt Disney Original and I don't know why they have to bring movie characters into everything (I know. . . marketing). I'm glad to hear they still have the original at DL!

I loved it when we wnet in Nov. I had not realized that they had updated it 'cause it had been years since I went to WDW. I think it's Awesome and love how they used characters from Movies my kids recognise. TTFN KAT
