So it happened again - went into Target for a belt and some vitamins and came out with two small bags, $100.41 later.

Why is it that no matter what, or how little, we go in there for, we can never spend less than $100 any time we step in the door?

How the heck does this happen? :confused3

I'm right there with ya! Two weeks ago I left having spent less than $60 and I did a little dance at the register. Then as my embarrassed son looked on I said, I must have forgotten about $50 worth of things!!! lol!!

Ahhh yes, the $200 store. My dh says I should walk in, go to a cashier, hand them $200 and then take a cart and go about my business. No matter what I get it will total $200. It always does.... :confused3

Whew...thank goodness my spending $50-75 each time I'm there isn't as bad as you guys-LOL!

I'm that way with our Super Walmart. I'll go in there for milk, shampoo, and socks and still manage to spend $100.00 everytime I go in there. I have no clue how I do it, but I think those 30 minute long waits and the long isles of impulse items has something to do with it.

I know what you mean! I went yesterday to buy my sister a new purse for her birthday and ended up with purses for both me and her, a new CD player for my bedroom, some really cute heels, a skirt and top and the latest issue of US Weekly :rotfl2:

Ugh! We have a Target about 2 blocks away from where we live.

When it first opened, we were there EVERY DAY! ACK! I saw bankruptcy in our future!

Luckily, we learned to pace ourselves, but a trip costs a minimum of $100.

I absolutely agree with you. They have some weird hold on us. Fortunately, the nearest Target is 45 minutes from where I work and 20 from where I live. I only go about once a month. Right after payday. . . :rolleyes1

yep. I went in for a backpack and a floatie today, that's it. came out with $164 worth of stuff. all needed, but man. Target effect indeed.

We had a Super Target open a few minutes from us 2 weeks ago. Grand Opening day DD and I went to just 'look around' ;) $140 later I'm still not sure what I bought. :scratchin

I think they employ a bait and switch policy :confused3

It never fails that whatever I go there for (advertised or not) they are always out of stock. However, I walk around and find 15 other things (usually that I don't need) to purchase instead. Yup, bait and switch :rotfl2:

If I get out of Target for $50 or under, I think I have done a good job. I have to go tomorrow to buy some towels. Wish me luck!

I do about #50-65 occasionally. Usually its about $35.

I have a thing for Target's containers. Their rubber container aisle gets me every time. I have more containers from Target than I have things to contain.

I also get stuck in their scrapbooking aisle and Toy clearance areas all the time.

A typical trip for me is always between $50-$100. I try not to go more than once a month. Although I just got my Target credit card bill for last month. It shows TWO trips. One for $50 and change and the other for $109.

I am too a targetholic. Thet just opened one about 15 minutes from us. I keep getting into alot of trouble in that store.
A friend of my dh works there. I tell him "please don`t tell my DH I was here".
Whenever I go there.

Well, I dunno about Target, but the Supermarket wipes me clean! My DGF and I go in for a FEW groceries and we leave with $200 worth of food!! And then as the week thins out we wonder where the heck all the food went?
I have to start ordering out again...cooking is leaving me broke.

I have a Super Target RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from where I work! And another one 1/2 mile from my house!

I tell my boss all the time not to bother paying me, just send my check over to Target. That's where it ends up anyway.

I was thinking the same thing....if we get groceries then it pops over $100 easily. They asked my husband last time we wrote a check for his ID. I told him they missed us while we were on vacation and wanted to make sure we are really back!! :teeth:

:confused3 It happens to me too. Between Super Walmart and Target, I'm better off just not going to the dang store!
