The Tale of the Grow Walk ….Hunh?

So sorry you had to get off the ship. Don't you wish you could just stay on for an extra cruise like you can the Peoplemover for an extra ride!?!?
I have never been to LEGOLAND. I don't have small children although I have bought lego's for my friends children through the years.
I love your pictures. I might could see myself going to LEGOLAND just to see the old Cypress Garden's stuff that is still there.

I remember where Cypress Gardens used to be. That IS some kind of a drive out there.

It really is and from the ship there is just no easy way there...you basically drive back towards Disney and then to it.

But it looks great so far. I am always so impressed with the Lego creations around the Disney parks (DTD and Disney Village in Paris) and these seem to be even greater and better. We have a Legoland in Germany but we have never even thought about visiting. Maybe I will get inspired looking at your pics.

The creations were amazing....one of the best things about the park. The rides and team members there....not so much.

Too bad LEGOLAND did not make fans of you. My friend went to the Florida park last year and she wasn't impressed either. I have heard people say California's is better.

I have heard Cali is better too.

I do remember you picking up a Lego set for Claire in onr of your other TRs. It is amazing what can be built out of them. Like the sculpture of you and Claire ;-)

It's an exact likeness..isn't it? LOL

What a shame that your day at Legoland was less than magical. We have not visited Legoland in either Florida or California. I went to the original Legoland in Denmark in my early teens and loved it. As an adult I then went to the one in the UK and this did not live up to my memories so we never tried any of the others.

We had issues with the way things were ran there. We knew we were out of the Disney bubble for sure.

I'm not sure Legoland would be enough to keep the sadness away when getting off that boat.

Yes, there was no comparison...but it did keep us in warm weather a little longer.

Love the updates! Your CC pics look heavenly! We have a year until we get back :( I can't wait, especially since our cruise last year didn't include a stop there. We just found out our cruise next year will be one of the "Star Wars Day at Sea" itineraries! We can't wait. I'm keeping it a secret from DS for as long as possible.

I have about a year too...I wish it was now!
He is going to be so excited!

I can't wait to hear how Legoland goes for you! DS loves that place, but he's the perfect age and super into it! I can't wait to see all your pics!

We loved the sculptures and cypress gardens...the rides were another story.

So sorry you had to get off the ship. Don't you wish you could just stay on for an extra cruise like you can the Peoplemover for an extra ride!?!?

I would love that...of course Skip would never understand why anyone would want to do that.

I have never been to LEGOLAND. I don't have small children although I have bought lego's for my friends children through the years.

Claire was really into legos and asked for so many sets for her b-day and Christmas and she still has like 12 sets to put together....she has lost the mojo I guess.

I love your pictures. I might could see myself going to LEGOLAND just to see the old Cypress Garden's stuff that is still there.

That is the best part of the whole park. Very beautiful back there.

Time for a potty stop.

Claire getting a little cheeky…pun intended.

The plumber also talked…kind of sounded like a Mario Brother to me.

Back out to explore.

The factory was closed but I peeked through the windows.

We headed towards the greenhouse.

I believe these gardens were around the Mansion.

How cute are these?

You don’t want rabbits to get to your vegetables.

I just hate it when they make you get off the ship don"t you??? This last cruise, we did WDW after the cruise and that definitely helped lessen the end cruise depression for me. Going straight to the airport off the ship is just awful.

We had a porter issue on our last cruise. We got a porter, I pointed out our bags to him (pretty distinctive they all had hot pink ribbons on the handles and were close to each other too). Except when we were on the bus to the resort, I received a phone call that DCL still had one of our bags. Sure enough, when we got the bag out from under the bus at the Contemporary, it was someone else's bag entirely...no pink ribbon anywhere to be found. The porter must have grabbed one next to ours after I pointed our bags out and turned back to the family. They had to deliver the bag to us at the resort and pick the other one up. Not a terrible inconvenience for us that day, just an annoyance, and I hope the other family was o.k. Learned my lesson now...watch the porter like a hawk! I have to say DCL was awesome about the whole thing. Very apologetic about the mix up and we had the bag within a few hours.

Legoland. We are never going there. Never. My son would insist I buy him everything there that could be bought and since I have not yet won the lottery, that is one experience he is going to miss!

I think I've only known one other person who went to Legoland and they had two little boys. I obviously have no reason to go since I don't have any little ones anymore. I have to say that the Garden area is quite beautiful.

We never made it to Cypress Gardens when it was Cypress Gardens. I think Mark may have gone when he was a younger boy with his family.

Some of those creations put a huge smile on my face. This is very cleverly done.

They are so mean. I want to stay on a few more days at least!

OH no...that reminds me of when my dad took the wrong bag and my mom almost killed him! Everything was handled pretty well with Delta then too.

And here's a hint. They are not even discounted at Legoland. Target is cheaper.

My parents went and just said it was OK. They enjoyed the Gardens and displays but they weren't overly impressed...but neither were we.

We never made it to Cypress Gardens when it was Cypress Gardens. I think Mark may have gone when he was a younger boy with his family.

The gardens are beautiful and I do wish I had gone again before they closed.

They had fabulous creations.

love the Lego garden and the lego oranges. They are cute!!

I thought that was so cute too.

I am hopelessly behind, so will have to suffice with just catching up where I left up. All of the Lego creations are really fun. :) I enjoy the Lego area at DTD, and this looks even more extensive and detailed. Hope to see you on my thread when you can make it Jen; until Spring Break, I'm focusing on replying there and interacting as I can. :) (Don't mean to pimp, just want to let people know that's where I have to hang out for the next few weeks. :)

I am always behind too....and the new board set up has be even further behind. I lost a lot of subscriptions and I haven't had time to go and find them. It' a mess.
The lego creations are fabulous....but you certainly know you are not in Disney anymore.

We put Claire to work.

Here is the Mansion.

I think this is the only picture I took. I can’t believe I didn’t take more of it.

Since we are farmers, Skip loves to look at anything associated with farming.

This cracked me up….the wife if pregnant.

Reminds us of home.

They had a little do it yourself play area, but there wasn’t much selection of legos to actually build with.

It’s amazing the things they can make with legos.

Love the details of your pictures. Did you get snow last night with the latest storm?

After the greenhouse we were ready to do something and we saw that a show was going to start soon.

This was a 4-D type movie. They actually played 3 throughout the day at different times and I no longer even remember which we saw.

We had a seat in a practically empty theatre. Claire and I started to feel a drip of wet. We later realized that they had some sort of sprinklers for the 4-D effect and it was leaking exactly where we sat. The movie itself was good but the effects were poor and the screen shape was just awful….think Soarin’…and that screen is perfect compared to this one.

While in there we noticed that the families that were in there really had no manners and let their kids run wild; climbing over seats and talking loudly.

When it was over we tried to brush that experience off and hope it was just one bad time.

I took this picture because Claire loves Lego Friends.

We debated on eating but decided to wait for now.

Love the mossy trees. I remember my first adult trip to FL with my best friend….we drove down and I remember seeing all the mossy trees and it was just an amazing thing. Not something I had expected at all. Now when I see them they bring back the good memories of that trip.

We headed over to Miniland next. This was one of the highlights of the whole day. You could spend hours here looking at all the details.

Another beautiful tree in the area.

New York City!

As you can see I was going back and forth between the different displays. There was so much to see and it was amazing the amount of work put into these.

As you can tell this is the Lego Movie area.

The Obama’s were hanging out in front of the White House.

There were some cute rides there, but many were kind of babyish.

We decided to head over to the Lost Kingdom Adventure ride.

It had a bit of a line but it seemed to be moving fairly fast.

One thing we learned very quickly is that Legoland is very slow at loading and unloading rides. They need to go take a Disney class on this.

Love the miniatures! We have something similar (not Lego made) here in Austria, and it is really wonderful. So, maybe we should go see Legoland for the miniatures. :goodvibes

I think this last set of photos was even more impressive than the last! What a cool park to visit, looks like! :)

All the details using a lego!! Mini land looks well...amazing and astonishing to think all the details are in the little tiles of plastic.
