OK, I am about to make a list of who wants In the First swap...The "Tell Us About Where You Are From Swap".

BUT, I have report RRBB to the BasketBall Police...She signed up for the challenge, and is picking teams based on how much she likes where they are from. (Oh Well, at least it isn't by the color of their uniforms) Neither of us are big into sports, and I don't even think she knows the players on the teams....

Oh Oh, I think I will be in big trouble when she reads this post.....
;)

:bounce:

.......and exactly WHAT is wrong with picking teams based on the color of their uniform? :smooth:

Bear down, Arizona
Bear down RED and BLUE
Fight, Fight, Wildcats Fight
Arizona, bear down!

OK, it looks like the following people are interested in the swap...

1 RRBB /
ohanafamily /
Nieceosaurus /
Nephosaurus

2 iluvtink

3 Danauk

4 Lewski709

5 Bichon Barb

6 cadburysmom

7 llebrekniT

8 ibouncetoo

9 Deadheadbelle

10 geffric

My family and I will share one spot if that is OK, it isn't as though this is a Chocolate Swap...

Here is what I propose:
4/1/04, we finalize the list (2 weeks +/- from now)
Package to include: (1 for each person in swap)
1 Post Card of where you live
1 Something small that represents your area...
(something that can be shipped internationally to DanaUK...
No Meat, Produce, Plants, live or dead animals.)
Optional- Something that is personally special to you...
(not expensive, but personal)
Return postage - the amount of postage you spent (plus $2.00) anything extra will be returned.
A return Label with your address on it.

Everyone should spend a suggested maximum of $3 on each of their fellow Swappers.

The package will be due in my mailbox by 4/15- I will PM you all with the address)

We will ship out on or about 4-22 (no later than 4/29) This will allow us time if any get delayed...

As an example of what each set should include, Let me see what Nieceosaurus would include; a postcard (with a picture of Blue-bonnets our state flower), and a package of Texas Chili Fixin's. She might optionally choose to send a paper Tiara (a replica of the one she wears while watching Cinderella)

If this works out well, next time we might do a Chocolate Swap.....

:bounce:

ohhh, ohhh, ohhhh. I know just the postcard I'm gonna include! Must go find them tomorrow! and get some extras in case a few more people sign up!

Count me in! Count me in! I've been out of the TAGLIARCHY LOOP for the past 3 days but I would love to be a part of a swap. I absolutely have to get some sleep now (don't you hate when the medication starts to go away - bless me I don't have to take anymore really yucky stuff right now - and you've got that fuzzy where am I feeling?) That's me right now...

Good morning everybody!

The exchange sounds like fun! I'll be in the WORLD on 4/1, but deadheadbelle will be keeping me in the know whilst I'm away.

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_202.gif' border=0></a>Dan Murphy! We are choosing a new home as this one is about all used up. Read on and help us decide on a location!

Well, since BichonBarb and deadheadbelle are not impressed with the homes I've come up with, maybe I can impress them with this.

I have three locations on hold for our new home. This way we can choose a house we like and just plunk it down on the most perfect spot.

#1 Lakeside location on Bay Lake, facing Wilderness Lodge, (opposite side of the lake). This location offers excellent views of both MK and EPCOT fireworks.

#2 The old Discovery Island. This would be perfect for Rick's spooky stories. Not sure they got all the animals off the island. Also offers great views of both MK and EPCOT fireworks.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_4_10.gif' border=0></a>

#3 The little island in the Seven Seas Lagoon. Won't have a good view of EPCOT fireworks, but in exchange, it offers the best view possible of the castle! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_3_15.gif' border=0></a> This will be a great spot for listening to ibouncetoo's stories by the campfire.

We will be able to watch the electrial water parade from each one AND I have arranged for our own private boat launch to MK and all the resorts on the waters! Tried my best, but they refuse to put in a connection to the monorail.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_7.gif' border=0></a> Something about slowing down the transport of thousands of paying vactioners.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_12_10.gif' border=0></a>

I'll be checking in to see which location everyone likes best.

I have a first right of refusal on all three, meaning they have to come to me before they can do anything else with them. Still, time is of the essence as we will need to move soon!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_117.gif' border=0></a>

Now to find a home that Barb will be satisfied in.........

Oh, I don't know which option sounds best. I like the thought of being on Bay Lake, but Discovery Island sounds really cool too. hmmm, I guess I like option 1 the best.

ohanafamily, there is nothing wrong with RRBB's system. Every year I watch lots of games, read all I can about the teams & try so hard to guess who will win & I lose anyhow. It's kind of like betting the horses. I try & try to look at a horse's past performances, all kinds of information. DN-Daniel, walks up, reads the names of the horses, picks one & wins. DRIVES ME BONKERS!!

Also, RRBB, You have out-done yourself again with the link to the swap information. Have I mentioned how impressed I am?

Well, I'm off to get my hair cut. Can't wait, can't wait.

Have a great day everyone!

Count me in on the swap. It sounds like fun. Good morning!

Morning... making chocolate and strawberry crepes form breakfast and egg sandwiches with a slice of Ghiradelli Chocolate ..

off to work...

Yeah, what makes you think any of the rest of us know a lot about BB and college gambling? Uh........I certainly don't know nuttin, or nuttin I will admit to anyhow. I am more into football or soccer as Danauk would call it.

Uh huh, RRBB nice work sista!

Danauk I will be going out this weekend for the Oreo's. They will be worth the wait. If I can get the package together sooner, I will. BUT you will get them.

llebrekniT 101.4, 101.4, 101.4. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Maybe that was gonna be part of my package. Don't go ruining the surprises. :earseek:

ohanafamily, I have a question. How are we gonna get the money for postage plus $2.00 in the box after it's shipped? Maybe I am not too bright this am, but usually I have to take my stuff to the post office (already packaged to go) to see how much it's gonna cost. Also, we are gonna need to add more than $2.00 (I think) to get the stuff to Danauk, don't ya think? Sometimes, I can be really blonde (if this question is just stupid otherwise, nevermind....I am brilliant).:teeth:

Dan Murphy:wave2: Hi big guy!

Hi everyone! :wave2:

Just checkin' in this morning. Sorry, been real busy trying to finish things up at work and then go home to pack boxes. :crazy2: Oh, and iluvtink, I'm moving to Orlando! ::yes:: See it in the counter down there? ;) We've been talking about it for about a year now and are finally going through with it. I can't believe it. It really hasn't sunk in yet. It still seems like something that we'll be doing SOMEday, not MONday!

I'm not sure I completely understand the swap thing yet (need to do some more reading and re-reading), but I think I'd be able to participate. The only problem is I'm not sure whether to include items from TN or FL???

Oh, and a suggestion for TV viewing tonight...try to catch "Significant Others"! It comes on Bravo tonight at 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. (but I think they show it again after "Queer Eye"). It's probably not for everyone but DP and I were laughing through the whole thing. I feel pretty confident that Barb, Rick and Lewski709 would like it if that tells ya anything! ;) Here's a link with more info: Bravo - Significant Others

Lewski709 To answer your question, a VERY good one BTW, I did something similar to this swap not long ago. When you go to the post office to send the package, bring along an extra envelope addressed to ohanafamily. When you find out how much the postage for the package will be, slip a check for the same amount in the extra envelope and send it along with the package. It worked well and we didn't have to play any guessing games for postage. ;)

Florida, silly. That's where you will be come time for the exchange. Florida is my vote.

I don't have cable, but I am SURE I would like it! ;)

Lewski709 I got one of those Playschool Air Ball Popper machines for my nephew(13 months) and he absolutely has gone bonkers over the thing! And yes, I know, those little balls fly everywhere but he loves it and now I am the COOL aunt with the COOL toys, at least in his parents' minds. :teeth:

Thanks for suggesting it!!!! :bounce:

I see absolutely nothing wrong with picking your teams by color. But, the color of my name, Bichon Barb, has absolutely NOTHING to do with a college basketball team! ;)

Here's my honey G-Mac. Last year my honey was Carmelo, but he left after one year and went to play for the Denver Nuggets. :(

HuggaBaloo - WOW! Orlando, you lucky guy... I guess I should read peoples' countdowns more often! :o

I'll be joining you down there in about 15 years!!! One of my conditions of moving up here to Ohio (BTW, we have 4+ inches of snow this a.m. ggrrrrrrr) is that we will retire in Orlando so I can be a sweet lil ol' CM!

Laura - what do you think of this snow? I'm in Lewis Center! Have you ever been to a DIS meet here? And I pray that they catch that sniper now, before he hurts anyone else. I worry for the law enforcement people who are out looking for him.

Everyone have a GREAT day! Going down to the chocolate vault to stay for the day! ::yes::

Lewski709, "Yah, What she said!" I would pay all of the postage myself, but RRBB insists that people should pay their own way...As long as the check is close, there won't be any problem, and we will return the extra to you. When we get a little closer, I will PM you with our address and real names.

OK, I just thought it was funny how RRBB was picking teams. I forget that the majority of TAGLIKINS are women; the method of choosing makes far more sense than watching the teams and basing your choices of past performance...

HuggaBaloo, Most of us have been to Orlando, but love the place. I would suggest the post card from Nashville; just because less of us are likely to have one...

I will add to the list…
disneyluvers and
s&k’smom and
HuggaBaloo and
CourtasanSatine

I think we are up to 14!!!!! Cool!!!

One other thing, I hope RRBB doesn't shoot me for this offer...If you have something that you want to send to a specific member of the swap, include it in the package to us and we will make sure it finds the right home...(within reason, a truckload of Cadburys to cadburysmom would be a bit excessive, but a Pink Rhinestone studded collar for Beaney Meaney of the Bichon Barb clan will fit in a standard size box.)

:bounce:

OMG! I won't mention this collar thing to Miss Bean, 'cause she would get way too excited. She is a primadonna, as you know. Right now she has a yellow collar with leopard spots. It fits her personality.

So, if the postage costs around $5.00, then we put $5.00 in an envelope?

Also, we could ohanafamily, RRBB, and the kids as one person?

This is going to be fun! :Pinkbounc Can I leave the office now and go shopping?

Oh, TB, I like the Discovery Island idea. My thoughts are that we could sneak over to the old River Country and have the place to ourselves. :teeth:

And for you folks who are getting the snow, we are due to get 6 to 10 inches over today and tomorrow. We always get hit in March. Happy spring.
