back from dc yesterday and hit battlefields over 4 days there.
what a great trip.

DC/Arlington, my DH's family (they were on the losing side!)

Lots of interesting battlegrounds but, when travelling into the south, I tend to detour through Stauton, Va, to avoid Fredericksburg & Belt-way traffic - even thou it's a good 45 minutes longer.

Don't imagine you ran into any Tag Faires on this trip? Not sure if they congregate where there aren't any amusement parks.

You're a regular rolling stone (a rolling stone gathers no moss, but lots of tags LOL). Welcome home, happy Halloween.

Okay - Pilgrim...the turkey's cute too - you're sooooo talented!

The outdoor display was my DH's best yet...several children reduced to tears who wouldn't make the trek up to the house - always a good barometer. We're not heartless, they got extra candy for their grief.

We had several dummies in the yard, bushes & hanging from trees. My DS was Krusty the Clown (from The Simpsons) this year, complete with a huge latex head. Before he took off in search of goodies, he sat slumped in a chair w/the dish of candy in his lap. We instructed the older kids walk up to him and told them to help themselves...a couple nearly fainted when he spoke to them.hee hee!

I dressed up as Minnie Mouse what a surprise.

That sounds like so much fun! I like the idea of the clown sitting still and making the kids walk up and get their own candy!! My kids have always been afraid of clowns and The Simpsons just re-inforced that fear!

I really expected to see some sign of the Tag Fairies last night but was gravely disappointed!

Saw my share of cute Faires last night, but they were taking - not giving!

Despite the fact that most of us have tags (present company excluded ),

Think we've (I've) been going about this fruitless, groveling pander all wrong...
Think you now need an "in" to obtain a tag, sort of a secret society...
Think I'm pleased to announce the:

Benevolent Worthy Society of Fairy Worshipping Taggee's​

or, BWSoFWT's for short!

There are no officers, or dues and all "Nanners are urged to apply.
Of course, this revelation could just be the result of chocolate overload...I'm seeing carb-deprived, sugar-induced visions LOL.​

When I was stirring up trouble on the welcome board, I inadvertently inspired a new Tag Fairy thread on the Community Board. If I wasn't such a computer illiterate I'd incorporate the line here but, I am - so I won't.LOL
