The Tag Fairy is the wonderful/spectacular "grantor" of the colorful, funny, and wise "quips" under some user names. Several of us on this thread don't have them yet....and we are not below pandering and "sucking" up to get them...without success so far I might add.

We are keeping the thread alive by pandering and a congo line! Please join us.

mtblujeans - we saw the area's best pediatric specialists today...referred by ortho. surgeon. Initially, my DS's fracture was placed in a removeable cast. He's had a full-body bone scan and MRI to look for improvement. Evidently, the fracture is not healing for some reason...which they need to find out. Today, he had blood work & will have another MRI with dye contrast next week. Their radiologist is unsure of where the fracture is...my patience is running thin. They've placed him on an anti-inflamitory and the boot stays on for another 6 weeks; with a full review @ that time.

I asked (for the zillionith time) why they didn't just cast it in the first place and be done with it...told it's not how they treat this situation.
My DH sez that if we didn't have such great medical insurance, they would probably would have...not quite that cynical, yet.

Maybe you told me that before....I did not understand.....sorry! I wondered about your out-of-pocket costs.....it is good to have insurance! Things would have to get pretty costly before our insurance would kick in and take care of anything! Do you wonder if the cast is not holding it in place well enough to heal?? Is he in pain?

The bright spot in this is our health insurance. My DH is a Steel Worker (Go Steelers), they gave up wages for increased health coverage with token co-pays for doctor visits only. I've got lots of questions...each time I ask one I get 5 different possibilites. At this point we all just want to "put this puppy to bed". We're sure the results, eventually, will be good...we're just in "hurry up & wait mode" now.
