I dunno if we've had a thread like this recently, but i haven't seen one, so here goes.

What is the sweetest/nicest thing someone's done for you?
It could be a family member, a friend, a crush, a significant other, a teacher, anyone.
What is something that someone's done for you to make you get butterflies and go 'awwwww'?

OR, what's something sweet you've done (or tried to do) for someone?

Man, I thought you meant -

Crush- He sent me a text message that says Love you Twise.
Best Friend- Last year when I got out the hospital she gave me a giftcard to my favorite bookstore and a card.
Nicest thing I have done for someone- someone was being mean to Cinnamon
Cinnamon =(Best friend) I stood up for her, and I said she was like a little sister to me

My mom has a friend, her name is Vicky. But she's more like a second mom to me. I am with her all the time and I tell her everything. Well, on my birthday a couple of weeks ago, she left me a voicemail. She sang me happy birthday and just said how much she loved me and was glad that she knew me and had the chance to have a relationship with me. I just thought it was so sweet that she thought of me and would do that for me. I was almost crying when I listened to it. She is so important to me, and I don't know what I would do without her in my life.

The sweetest thing someone has ever done for me? My dad saying goodbye. He was supposed to be going on Flight 11 for a business trip but that morning while he was packing (and running late) he came upstairs to say goodbye. Since he was late he missed Flight 11 and was going to catch the next one out, which happened to be quite sometime later in the day. Flight 11 was hit into the North Tower of the Trade Centers. He would have been dead today if he had not come upstairs to say goodbye.

The sweetest thing my parents have ever done, is to encourage me to chase my dreams, no matter how bizarre they are. Sounds corny, right? They back me 110% in anything I do, and they mean it. Actually hearing my parents tell me that I can do what I put my mind to is really, really comforting.

All of my closest friends from middle school helped me gain everything back that I lost. I went through a rough patch, and I think I'll never be able to repay them the same way they helped me.

And the sweetest thing I've ever done?
I have no idea.

oh, I don't know about the sweetest thing I've ever done or someone's done for me. most likely alot of stuff I just can't think of right now because I'm having a Dory moment.

Family-They do alot.
Friend-Nothing, unfortunately.
DIS-Ya'll got through alot of things this summer and right now wether you know it or not.
Crush-Pshh, I wish. xD

family does a lot for me
friends do some.
boyfriend does everything he can.

I think my first really big aww moment was when he confessed his love to me. I swear, I cried.

I know it's probably not necessarily the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me, but it's something that sticks out very strongly to me above every other thing ever said to me. It sticks out that way for a reason...so I suppose maybe it is the sweetest, despite how minor it may seem to people outside of the situation.

At the end of a long and late night conversation with one of my best friends (who happens to be a male) about his struggles (he was going through a tough time that year with numerous family issues including divorce and illness, etc. among issues with a mutual friend - to keep things brief and undetailed), he said to me, and I quote directly, "i will and thank you, lm glad your my friend and goodnight" right before he signed off AIM. I teared up when I read it (and I'm not really an emotional person, I swear) and it just made me so genuinly happy. I have it saved in my e-mail inbox with the subject as "pick-me-up" and I pull it out when I need just that.

My friends invited me over for my birthday (they're sisters). I kind of new we were celebrating it, but I figured it would be nothing big. It wasn't, but they made me this really cute word-processor picture collage of my favorite things (pixie sticks, U2, rockettes, hollister, etc.) and they made cupcakes made of olive oil :rotfl: because they ran out of vegetable oil. It was fun just because it was so nice and they did it all by themselves. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it was just so sweet.

I don't get those moments.
I go 'aww' at other people's moments and then feel sad.

A few months ago my very very good friend came home. Last August she'd moved to Texas. She was home. Well, they left very early on a Thursday morning so on that Wednesday we spent all day with her.

Well, to make a long story short she left. We all chased her car down the street. Then everyone kind of just stood there. Not me. I threw my hands on my head (ready to cry) and started walking. I heard someone behind me come in with a "Is she okay?" And the tears hadn't started flowing yet. So that was good. I turned around and saw closest to me, my Best Friend who looked like he'd been walking after me. Then further away were the other kids who'd said goodbye. No sooner had I turned around than my Best Friend's arms were wide open, for a hug. Now, you don't quite understand that my Best Friend only gives "emotional" hugs when they're really called for. I stood there fo what seemed like forever hugging him, afraid I was going to start crying in his arms. But then everyone joined in for a group hug.

This reminds me of another thing the same friend as above did. (He's not a very emotional person... and he doesn't put things into words such as "bff" or "ily". He just doesn't. So if he calls you his best friend... it's pretty serious. We'd just been in a fight. And... at the end of it I go;

ktbutterfly2011: whoah. Katie the retard goes and screws it up.
********: :-\
********: katies not a retard
ktbutterfly2011: yeah. she pretty much is :'(
********: *sternlooksmiley* no she's not
ktbutterfly2011: then what is she?
********: shes my friend
********: my best friend
********: and her random rants are normal
I was like "Wow, omg" and then I started crying. It actually took me so long to respond he goes "yt?"

I've saved it under "Amazing II" in my inbox. Right under "Amazing" which is a different conversation.

But. Yeah. Those are some of the sweetest things ever done for me. If I think of more i'll post them.

Uhmmm, I don't really know. My parents always do sweet things for me. My friends...mmm, I don't know. My one bestest friend and I sometimes have these tense moments, but then when I say something about it being weird, she always makes me go "awww". Saying things like she'll always love me and stuff. I'm just so glad she's my friend. :)

I don't know the sweetest thing I've ever done...

friend-we were talking about how someone was making fun of me or something and calling me all these mean things and he says and i quote
"Yea, but he's an idiot. You're gonna be a billionaire when you grow up and your limo will pull up and he'll be like 'want some fries with that?"
parents-for my thirteenth birthday they got my close family friends/friends/family to write stuff about me.
made me cry so hard whenever i read it.

aww. everyone's stories are so cute :goodvibes
They're really fun to read.

I guess it's about time I answer my own question :P

Something sweet my mom always used t do for me was writing notes on my napkin in my lunch in elementary school (like 'i hope you have a great day!')
And she did it on my last day I high school.
I almost started crying in the middle of the cafeteria!!

But THIS, is hands down the SWEETEST thing anyone could ever do for me!
I'm sure by now you all know my boyfriend is off on his own, far away at school. And we miss each other TERRIBLY.
On our last night together, we were at his house and I was about to leave, I was crying and crying because I didn't want him to go.
He runs upstairs quickly and he comes down with this knitted teddy bear n his hands.
And he tells me that it's his bear from when he was little that his gramma knit for him, and he tells me to take it home with me, so that it doesn't get lonely while he's away.
YOu guys might think that is THE cheesiest thing ever. But he's not really all that sentimental, but I totally am. So it means alot of me that he thought of that, because he knew how much I'd appreciate it.

I have no clue what the sweetest thing I've done is? I always try to just like, make my boyfriend cookies every so often?? lol

all these stories are so cute.

the only thing that really sticks out to me isn't really that special but i'll tell it anyway. at homecoming last year i was dancing with my friend alex (boy) to save him from his date and we'd been dancing for a while. and know at dances how everyone kinda forms a circle to see everyone? like we were in one of those and like everyone like kinda went away i don't really know and so we were dancing around people i didn't really know and all of a sudden he says It's okay, I know these people. now that i think back on it it was the sweetest thing every. he wanted me to know he was there and stuff. i developed a serious crush on him after that night.

Oh my gosh I almost got tears to my eyes reading that. That isn't cheesy I think its so sweet. Man some people have all the luck. Haha. Hmm I don't really know the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me but I can think of something that meant a lot to me. Before I got AIM me and my friend e-mailed a lot and me and him and a few of our other friends were talking and he mentioned how I was the first person to find out a lot of his "secrets". It meant a lot to me that he trust me so much when he has only known me for like 3 or 4 years over the people he has known his whole life.

I totally forgot about that, my mom used to do that all the time in elementary. All my classmates thought it was the cutest thing ever and I'd pass the napkin down the table so everyone could read it. :goodvibes:
