The sweetest thing . . . from my DD15

Last night, she made me go into her room to listen to a song -- it was "because you loved me" by celine dion. do you know the words? essentially "I'm everything I am because you loved me" -- then told me that is the song she and I will dance to at her wedding.

Needless to say, I was a soggy mess. I teased her about being a compulsive planner like her mom -- I'm so busy thinking about her sweet sixteen party this summer, and she said she has been wanting to find the perfect song for her and me at her wedding reception! She's not even dating!!


I was just so touched. She said "Mom, did you listen to the words? That's our song. I'm never gonna forget that"

OMG!

That was my dad/daughter dance song at my wedding, which was 5 years ago this Saturday. It's a great choice, and the words are very fitting for a special father/daughter relationship.
