The Sweet Meet - Dis'ers do Hershey

You people are all talking like you are going somewhere in a few days. :cool1:

Ok so I have a pile started and told John tonight that he needs to get me out one of the suitcases tomorrow. We are leaving on Tuesday late aftenoon, it won't take me long to pack. Also need to do our banking tomorrow. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Have a safe trip:woohoo:

Doing laundry and starting to lay things on the couch that I think I'll take to Hershey this week. I'm doing carry-on only (but it's a smallish plane, so I'll probably have to gate check my bag). Remembered my podcast t-shirt and lanyard and threw in the DIS ABD visor that Kevin gave us on the April trip - just in case I find a need something for the sun. It always seem real when the wardrobe planning starts.

As soon as I unpack tonight from this past weekend, I will start repacking for this coming weekend. I already have a idea as to what clothes I want to bring. Just think colorful and loud.:goodvibes

How was WhipCOT?

How was WhipCOT?

Some things that happened:
-I took a nap in Alice's (Jaime's daughter's dog) couch.
-We had a special presentation of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
-We did not get attacked by bears while sleeping in the tent.
-We woke up to thunderstorms and buckets of water falling from the sky.
-We ate and drank more than I normally do in a week.

If the food and wine festival is 1/10 as good as WhipCOT, I may never leave World Showcase.

We've added someone to our travel party. A close friend / schoolmate of my grandson Alan is coming with us. His name is Aaron and they are both on the same youth football team. They should have a ball. :woohoo:

Great, that should only add to Alan's fun. :thumbsup2

Now you don't have to worry too much about entertainment for Alan during the car ride, and he'll have a friend to hang out with!

Only about 60 hours until we start our journey to PA!!! :cool1:

Packing and shopping for travel supplies to commence very soon. :thumbsup2 We are really looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend! :goodvibes

Funny, I was looking at it from a different angle. Instead of being car ride entertainment for Alan, I figured Aaron would help more soGeorge and Deb could get some DIS time and not have Alan bored to tears with us old boring sticks in the mud.;)

Haha.... I certainly agree with your version, however, none of us, least of all you - are sticks in the mud :laughing::laughing:

For any of you Hershey Park veterans out there, we were curious about one of the food options. They have a meal ticket for $12.75 on the site that includes a combo and a large refillable ($0.99) souvenir cup. We were thinking about getting 2 of those and have the 3 kids split the 2 adult combos and then the kids will have a refillable cup and so will the adults. Jennifer and I could then just order what we want a la carte. This seems to be saving us a few bucks but were curious if there was something we were missing or a smarter to do food that day. Thoughts?
