The Surial Bath

My husband and I are going on a 3 day by ourselves this time. My hubby would like to try the surial bath, but I wondering about cleaness of the room and plus I'm alittle modest. Any feedback would be great. Thanks

The room is clean (I have photos on my website), but the grout may be a little stained from the mud. Don't let that frighten you! They give you a robe to wear to the surial chamber...you can wear a swimsuit under it if you want, although hubby and I just go au natural underneath it.

I HATED the surial. The steam wouldn't work. The water was all cold...never would get even warm. And, I wasn't sure it was all that clean. I'll never go back into that spa, although the rest of the cruise was wonderful. I'll save my money next time and spend it on something other than the surial.....anything other than the surial!

We've done the Surial Bath on 2 of our 4 cruises. It is as much fun as you make it, but it can be frustrating if the steam doesn't work.

Another tip, we always scheduled the first appointment during the day so its not quite as messy. I know that when we leave, the entire chamber is covered in mud!

is a great piece of advice! We too had the first appointment, and the surial was spotless. Overall, from the multiple postings on the surial, the attendant seems to do a great job cleaning the bath between clients.

As for modesty, well, yeah, it can be, well, ya know....but playing with the mud, washing the mud off each other, etc - was fun... do take a watch in with you so you can keep track of time...

We were first that day...still yuck. It wasn't easy to wash off the mud though, because the water was cold. I wrote Disney and tried to contact Steiner about the facility. Some people love it. Hopefully others have the room in better working order when they go.

We LOVED it and would do it again. I am a HUGE germ phobe and wouldn't touch bare skin to anything that seemed unclean. I had no problems with the cleanliness of the place.
