Whatever we did to make God smile so much on us today â IâÂÂm sure glad we did it! What a perfectly wonderful day!!! We had breakfast & took off to the Magic Kingdom, getting there before the park opened. We walked back to the rope at Tomorrowland (so we could ride Buzz Lightyear just once before heading over for JennyâÂÂs surprise) and waited there for park opening. Well, before we knew it, there were people stretching backâ¦and backâ¦and back. The CM there was talking about how huge the crowds were yesterday & that they would be just as bad today. Oh wellâ¦we prepared for big crowds. Park opening â we headed (no running!) towards Buzz & were some of the first people to ride. Jack won big on this one this time. Then a quick spin on the TTA, which was awesome, because when we rode through Space Mountain, the lights were on so we could see it. Always cool. Then off to JennyâÂÂs Pixie event. The four of us are playing it so coolâ¦she has no idea whatâÂÂs about to happen.
We get to the Cinderella Wishing Well at 9:30 â as we are talking about the well, we are approached by Jane, who asks if anyone in our family wants to be Fairy Godmother of the day. Eventually, she chooses Jenny, gives her a gorgeous Princess Minnie hat & magic wand and takes her off to give her the instructions. Then weâÂÂre off on our adventure â with Fairy Godmother Jenny leading the way. When she gets magic signals, she waves her wand around each of us and presents magically appear for us! When we all have received our presents, we go to a quiet table where Jenny receives some special gifts for being Fairy Godmother (a beautiful framed fairy pin set & special magic wand pin) and thenâ¦ta da! The gifts we all got turn out to really be for her! They are poems, songs & drawings telling her how much we appreciate all the little things she does to make all of us so happy. She was overwhelmed. Many tears were shed. It was wonderful.
From that point on, we toured Fantasyland, getting a FastPass for Winnie the Pooh (which we had never been on before) & seeing all the other attractions we wanted to see. As weâÂÂre getting off Small World, who is over in the character area but Pinocchio â my favorite Disney character (and one IâÂÂve never seen in the parks before). Pictures were taken â more tears were shed. Am I the only 37 year old who cries because she got to hug Pinocchio? Geez. Then back to Winnie the Pooh â this ride is adorable. I hated to see Mr. Toad go, but I think this lovely ride is a fine substitution and one Walt would have been proud of.
Gradually, we see the rest of the park, leaving the E-Ride attractions alone (Big Thunder Mountain is still closedâ¦bummer) & only needing a Fastpass on 2 attractions (Jungle Cruise & Winnie the Pooh)â¦and yet somehow, with this jam packed park, our longest wait was 20 minutes. We took a break late afternoon for a boat trip over to Wilderness Lodge to see their Christmas decorations, which were beautifulâ¦.then back to the Magic Kingdom for the Main Street Elect. Parade. We got a great spot in Frontierland to watch the parade (another first for our family â weâÂÂve seen Spectromagic, but never MSEP) and wow, was it gorgeous! Then over to the hub to watch the fireworks. Sigh. Then everyone headed out & we finished up the park, and hooray! Big Thunder Mountain is open again! We skipped Splash Mountain because brrrrrrrâ¦it was a little too cold.
Then we came back to our hotel and our stuffed friends were sitting on our bed with the pizza advertisements (which look like slices of pizza) around them and a note that said âÂÂWe got hungry! This pizza is delicious!â in our room and the kidsâ stuffed friends sitting on the bed with the remote, watching Toon Disney and holding a note that said âÂÂWe got bored â we love this channel!â What a sweet ending to the day. But all day our timing worked perfectly and everything went smooth as silk. We got the opportunity to meet wonderful people from New Jersey, Nebraska, Alaska, Illinois and the UK. I donâÂÂt think we could have improved our day in the slightest. But boy, am I tired. Goodnight!
TomorrowâÂÂs plan: Animal Kingdom! Thanksgiving dinner at Rainforest Café!
