The Sopranos final episodes (SPOILERS!!!)

Carmella asked in the beginning of the show when the would be back and Janice gave some dates in the near future. It sounded like they were at camps or with friends or something. She also mentioned the little girl was getting her "smart mouth" from Bobby Jr.- Like he's the only one in the family she could have learned it from:rotfl2:

I think there will be repercussions from Bobby's first "hit". What more could he have messed up?

  • The bullet went into the dryer, and he left it in there, rattling around, when he should have grabbed it and took it with him.

The victim snatched off a big chunk of Bobby's shirt, and he left it there, clutched in the guy's hand.

He just drops the gun, right outside, for the police to pick right up, and I don't think he was wearing gloves, so his fingerprints are all over it.

Man, I would make an awesome Mafia hit-woman.

I was thinking the same things you were except for leaving the gun. There was an article not too long ago on how realistic the Sopranos are. They had interviewed an actual ex Mafia member who had done his share of killing back in the day. He said killing a person in a public place was easier than you would think. After shooting the person you drop the gun at your side and walk straight out of the building, no talking, no eye contact, etc. If you're sitting in a restaurant and a professional hit was to take place, would you follow the killer outside and try and detain him? Not me. If the killer is stopped for something minor away from the crime scene there's no loaded gun that can be traced back to the crimes it has been a part of. Of course you use a gun that isn't a registered fire arm and could be traced back to you. I bet Bobby wasn't too smart that part either.

Of course Bobby should have worn gloves and also not allowed his shirt to ripped off by the guy and just leave it in clutched in the dead mans hand. Talk about leaving way too much evidence at the crime scene. I think Tony forced him to do this hit, knowing full well that Bobby would probably botch the job and get caught. This way he gets his revenge on him and his sister Janice. I'm sure Bobby will be arrested and going away to jail real soon in the next two episodes or so.

He was definately wearing gloves....they appeared to be either surgical gloves, or the kind of gloves worn by cafeteria workers when handling food....I didn't spot them until he was in the alley leaving and the light hit them just right.

His name was Richie Aprille. Janice is ruthless and a horrible mother, I can't believe Tony didn't slam her for the nanny raising the little girl and not her.

Also, what was the point of Janice coming clean about what she did to Richie? She didn't make Carm realize she killed him and Carm's reply was "you did what you had to do"...does that mean she knows? :confused3

I think that Carm always thought that Tony killed Richie, and she was a bit relieved to hear that Janice did it.

Remember when Tony came home after "burying" Richie. He told Carm something like "don't make me make you an accessory after the fact".

Very good theory!

While Tony certainly has his share of blood on his hands, he's never been the type to order hits willy-nilly. I was shocked when he was so willing to offer that "service" to the Canadians. So, I think I agree with your theory, there.

On the other hand, though, it seems that Tony would be afraid that Bobby would cut a deal with the Feds and blab all he knows.

I think the season is off to an excellent start, with lots of intriguing possibilities.

Oh, okay then. I didn't notice any.

I thought another funny scene last night when it was time for Tony and Carmella to go to bed, and they were given this small bed that looked like a double that could barely fit tony. poor carmella had to go into the bunk bed room and sleep on a bed with no sheets, pretty bad accomodations for the Head of a Family and his wife.

I was thinking about this today. Right before the show started, they had brief interviews with the cast and Shirippa (sp?) was saying how surprised he was at the direction his character takes.

So I was thinking about how Tony has always viewed Bobby as weak, and he's always picked on him -- remember the whole model train thing? So maybe it's possible that this fight will give Tony a new respect for Bobby.

OK, I will admit that I half watch the shooting scenes (:guilty: ) but I did not see the victim come in contact with Bobby. I saw Bobby stand in the doorway and shoot him and then step inside a bit and shoot him again and then stand over him and shoot him one more time...but I did not recall the victim grabbing Bobby's shirt...did he?...:confused3

Yes he grabbed the shirt and tore the center neck portion. Very clumsy overall.

Will be interesting to see what happens. While I thought overall the show was not one of the best, it did set us up for the season.

I actually thought Bobby had killed before. I'm not sure why I thought that. It makes sense though, he really is a sweet guy, a little too sweet to be a gangster;) I felt really bad for him that Tony made him kill that guy, obviously Tony was getting him back. Like others have said, I'm sure Bobby will end up being caught with all the DNA evidence he left behind. I wasn't too thrilled with last night's show. With only 8 episodes left now, they really need to tie up loose ends so there can be a proper ending.

I don't think Janice will be the head of the family. She's too passive-aggressive.

I think Bobby will get caught, and then he will either end up in jail or dead. I don't know if it matters that it happened in Canada :confused3 ?

Someone will drown...there was too much foreshadowing...

I don't think Tony will die...I think he goes on.
It's an intriguing show.

Just signing in on this thread.

DH and I love the Sopranos - last nights episode was so-so! I do not think Bobby will get caught - the Canadian government will not want to get into mob business, it will just haunt him forever.

I was really thinking that the little boy of AJ's new girlfriend was going to drown last night - not sure how they will bring a drowning into the show.

Only 5 episodes remaining - am i right?

I was thinking as I watched last night that this is how Tony,in his Machiavellian way, will get back at Bobby because he whipped Tony's butt. Bobby took care of Junior. He was always sweet but kind of a doofus. Tony knew that there's no way that Bobby could handle a "hit".

I watched it again lastnight with my DH and Bobby was wearing gloves at the time of the hit. I don't know what DNA they'll be able to get off the portion of the shirt that was torn from him. I'm sure the gun wasn't registered, and it did take place in Canada. I don't think they'll be any reprecussions, law wise, on the hit.

How it'll affect Bobby is another story. I think this will mess him up big time, and Tony knows it. Despite what Carmella said to Janice, Tony IS vindictive, in a BIG way.

I don't know who is more like the mother, Tony or Janice.

I agree that Tony did this to mess with Bobby because he has never liked that aspect of the business. However, I think that Carmella is totally fooling herself. He has never laid a hand on her? What about when he choked her to near unconciousness while they were going through their separation? How soon we forget.

Also, does anyone know what lake bobby and janices house was on? It looked so familiar.
While it was supposed to be in the Adirondacks, I have heard that it was filmed in Greenwood Lake, NJ.

When Tony was busted on the hollow point bullets charge and he was talking to Bobby (before their fight), Bobby was talking about how bad it was now with DNA testing. I'm sure that the shirt will come back to bite him.

As to Bobby's dropping the gun at the scene of the crime: To me that was one of two homages to The Godfather. Remember when Michael Corleone kills Solozzo and McCloskey (the cop) in the Italian restaurant. He's gotten instructions to drop the gun from Clemenza. There's no problem as long as the gun's clean. The second homage, IMO, was when Tony was sitting in the chair looking at the lake. Janice even says, "I've seen this before." Yeah, in Godfather II, when Michael Corleone is sitting looking out at the lake thinking of his brother Fredo that he had killed.

I thought it was a great episode, completely focusing on Tony's real family. Great for the first week--but next week I need me some Paulie Walnuts!

Well, I can't use the Paulie quote that I heard in my head when I read your statement, or I'd get banned. So, I'll just say, "right on!"

I miss Paulie Walnuts too. I just loved the scene when he stole the lawnmower wearing those white shoes of his, classic:lmao:
