The Sopranos final episodes (SPOILERS!!!)

Also, who was the guy that Syl killed in the beginning? I didn't recognize him, but he must've been one of the NY crew...why did he kill him?

I don't know the character's name, but he was part of Tony's crew. I think his most memorable scenes (before last night, of course) was back in season 6, part one, when he and Patsy went into the chain coffee shop (I think it was?) that had just opened in the neighborhood to try and collect protection money. Also, at the end of the same episode, he and Patsy found out that the fresh egg shop (with the live chickens) was closing in order to make way for another chain establishment (because of Tony's business dealings with Julianna Skiff), causing Patsy agita.

Last night's episode was great! Does anyone think there is any significance to the references to Jesus in the last two episodes? AJ reads a lengthy poem that refers to the birth of Jesus in the last episode while FBI Agent Harris speaks of the rapture last night during the same scene in which he felt compelled to warn Tony of his imminent danger. Likewise I thought the physical action of closing a door may have been meant to symbolize Tony's problems. The camera focuses intently on Dr. Melfi's deliberate closing of her office door to Tony and later focuses equally on the lone door that is barring Tony from his family, friends, and life while he waits for the inevitable.

It's not Livia's house, I found a picture of her house

Honestly, I just don't know how they are going to wrap it up in just one - 1 hour episode. The finale should have been 2 hours (at least!)

Does anyone remember the house from the dream episode a couple of seasons ago? Could it be THAT house?

Whoa. What an episode that was. I can't believe I feel so badly that killers were murdered, but I do.
I don't think they're in Uncle Jr's house, that would be too obvious. I could be wrong though.
It is Junior's house. I recognize the kitchen. If it's not, then the house has the exact same kitchen as Junior's.
Did anyone think the scene with Syl being shot in the car was kind of odd? He was down behind the dash scrambling for his gun and I think I saw him shot in the leg. The other guys came by in the car and had a look at him slumped and just left. What if he was in on the hit and is not injured that badly?
Actually, this is what got me. Sil's "getting out of dodge" and he doesn't have his gun right next to him on the seat?:confused3
Did they sell Livia's house I thought it was hers. They should have gone to Bobby and Janice's lake house
Yes, they sold Livia's house.
Also, when he told Carm "they don't go after the family'

I felt sorry for Bobby's kids - stuck with Janice as their parent, yikes.
The "they don't go after family" thing has me worried. I think it's a foreshadowing. And I felt so sorry for Bobby's kids from his first marriage too. Janice is an "evil stepmother" for sure.

I was so upset when Bobby bought it.
What about the part when the NY guys were peeling out of the parking lot and hit the motorcyclist, then the van ran the dude over! All the girls (topless) and patrons were outside watching!
Does anyone from NJ know if they actually shot that scene outside Satin Dolls (BadaBing)? I can't even imagine what folks driving down Route 17 must have been thinking with the topless dancers out on the street!
I don't remember what Sil's house looked like, but maybe it was his place. The only time I remember seeing the inside of his house was when Tony was in the coma and Sil was taking over and his wife was giving him a pep talk about being in charge while he was getting ready to go out. But I don't remember at all what it looked like.
Sil's house was really nice; almost in Tony's league. The house they're in was definitely not Sil's
I heard rumors that Meadow will get it, accidentally -- wrong place wrong time. I think that is believable.
I'm worried that this could be the case. Meadow is supposed to be at Patrick Parisi's house and Patsy is now on the run. Does he go to his son's place and Meadow's in the wrong place at the wrong time? Then again, Phil Leotardo said they were only going after the top three: Tony, Silvio and Bobby. So, maybe Patsy gets away after all.

I felt bad for A.J. What if that's the very last time he ever sees his father? WTH was Tony thinking there?

All in all, an amazing episode.

If Meadow is shot (especially if it's fatal) I suspect Tony will lose it, feel responsible, etc. Phil's crew will come looking for him, they'll find him and possibly AJ together (Carm will be who knows where) AJ won't be able to handle the pressure of Phil coming after them and he'll break down. Tony will see AJ and the state he's in, assess the situation and kill himself before Phil can, taking AJ down with him. That's what another board I was reading several weeks ago was saying, and I tend to agree with it.

But.....who knows! We'll have to wait and see which ending Chase and company decided to go with! The suspense is killing me!

Was the house the one the Furio stayed in???

Here's a really tiny picture that I found (I don't know how to make them bigger!)
FuriosHouse_sml.jpg

I actually thought we might see Furio again when Tony told Silvio to call the cousins in Italy over to take care of Phil... Perhaps it would've been done right if Furio had been called in for the job...

I agree that next week is going to be a bloodbath... Oh my!

I was hoping to see Furio again, too.

I can't believe that Janice will be the only parent to her daughter now. UGH, that woman gets on my nerves.

What is the deal with Paris? Carmela and Rosalie (sp?) were looking at pictures of Paris when Tony came in and said he had to talk to her. Is Paris going to play a part in the last show?

I hope they don't go with Meadow getting accidentally shot. That is just too "Godfather III ish".

I think that was the shows way of saying good bye to Ro. Just like with Artie and Dr. Melfi. I think that was the best episode ever. I was mad about his team being picked off, no one likes to see Tony weak! I just hope he takes out Phil AT LEAST!! He has to get some retaliation!

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Furio's house. IIRC, his house had the driveway on the right side.

According to Alan Sepinwall from the Star Ledger:

Where on earth is Tony hiding out? Parts of the house resembled Junior's, but not all of it, and what would Junior be doing with a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Silvio in his living room? Frankly, what would anyone? (EDITED TO ADD: I've been told this wasn't Junior's house, or Livia's, or any place we've seen before; just an anonymous safehouse.)

We can all stop speculating now! ;)

I think it was showing us just how happy Carm was when she kinda decided to leave Tony and the irony of what's about to happen in the next moments.

from what I understand, the "safe house" is a familiar home... but not necessarily a home we've seen before, if that makes sense.

Is Paris going to play a part in the last show?

Maybe for Carmella, if she leaves Tony. But I can't see Tony hiding in Paris. The old saying, Bull in a china shop comes to mind.

My prediction is that Meadow will get killed by Phil. This will cause other families to back Tony. The old school way is that families are not touched. Phil will be thought of as a problem by the other families. Tony will have full support to take him out. In the end you will see the monster in Tony. He is a crime boss because he is brutal. I think Tony will kill Phil and most of his crew. Tony will be a powerhouse totally in command by the end of the next show. Now for a twist, we could see Carmella and furio hook up. Carmella being so distraught will leave Tony and take up with Furio.
I think AJ will turn gangster. I know he seems week. But maybe Tony was the same way when he was young, after all both Tony and AJ are depressed. Maybe AJ will surprise everyone with a cold ruthless killing side. Maybe AJ will kill Furio.

I love everyones ideas. We could write our own show.

Although I think the Meadow prediction is a good one, I don't think it's plausible for all this to happen in the final 60 minutes. I could be wrong though... and probably am :rotfl:
