I posted this on the two Thumper threads, but I think it should still get it's own thread. :)

When you are reading something, it can be very difficult to interpret the tone. We are so used to hearing tone that we can interpret it easily.
On the DIS, we are lucky to have many wonderful smileys. One in particular, the :) smile :) expresses no ill will in a post. I think that we should all try to use smileys, especially this one or some variation of it much more often, to elimiante the confusion in posts that can come from misenterpretation. This will hopefully make everyone smile more, and make posting a more pleasurable experience on the TB. :)

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, but those smiles are contagious. :) Back on topic, I, too, think this is a good idea. :)

Smiles = Miles of Love

I have always used the :) on every board I post on. :)

The "working" official avatar?

I've added it, and I already started using the smilie in almost every post.:)
good idea.:)

Pssh, I'm the smiley master.
If you look at my posts, almost all of them contain a different kind of smiley to let people know my tone of vioce.
Because sometimes without smileys people take it the wrong way...:)

I've always thought that....:)

Using smiles let them know how you're saying it...you know?

lol...:p
