The Sky is: "(fill in the blank)"

I'm guessing this thread hasn't been too busy because it doesn't seem anyone's weather has changed much. Although we have still been getting plenty of rain, at least the sun has been showing itself more over the last few days. :yay:

any long johns laying around?

Judi, I will fan some warm air your way. I know yesterday was 107 and although last night they said today would only get to 106, I think it was hotter than that.

Hot and muggy here today, but it's been beautiful for the last two weeks or so. Clear, cool, breezy -- excellent weather. I guess summer finally decided to show up -- after all it is mid-July. ;)

Judi, seriously? Or are you just pulling my leg? I can't imagine snow in July. :scared1:

I'm now watching for snow.

:lmao:

It was still 107 here at 7pm. Now its almost 10 and still 92 outside.

I don't even remember the last time I saw snow. :confused3 We saw some sleet last winter. I think it lasted about 10 min.

PK, yes it has snowed up here in July.

Wow, Judi, I could not live like that. I hate the cold weather and can't imagine snow in July. I also can't imagine what Kerrie and Pakey are going through with temps in the lower 100's for months at a time. I guess I'm living in the right place because we get a little of everything, but nothing too extreme.

I'm off to a co-workers house today for a barbeque. Think it's going to be a great time. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, whether wearing bikinis or parkas. :lmao:

It's not normally this hot this early. Our hottest time of the year is usually in August. Not June and early July. Last night on the news they said the last 30 days are the hottest 30 days on record. Which means that even at our hottest time of the year, we've never had 30 straight days this hot.

It's supposed to be cooling down slightly, but it hasn't yet. Still 105 outside.

Have fun at your BBQ!!

Hello my lovelies!!! :hug:I've been busy running back and forth between NY & NJ.

I am finally getting my new counters on Wednesday, so I'll be gone all week again.

We had a beautiful weekend, went to the beach both days. Today is getting more humid and the rest of the week is calling for a chance of thunderstorms.

I can't wait for the kitchen to be finished, it's been two months since we gave the deposit :sad2:

Saturday was 110, yesterday was 111, today is going to be 111.

So how many of you are green with envy? And we've been outside all day every day installing fencing.

I hope Paris is wearing lots of sunblock :scared1:

I don't know how, but the sky is both cloudy and incredibly bright. And, its hot. 99 at the moment. And its full of mold spores. How do we have so much mold with no rain for months, well the weatherman said the heat is pulling up the pockets of mold trapped in the ground. Personally, I think he's full of crap.

Can't imagine what your air-conditioning bills are going to look like Kerrie (and Pakey). That's just ridiculous. And Pakey, seriously, take care of yourself. Don't go getting heat exhaustion with all the work you and Mr. Pakey are doing. It's just not worth it. (Sorry if I sound like a mom, but I am). ;)

Just got the electric bill and it keeps going up. Its up another $70 from last month, which was up $70 from the month before. :sad2:

But, we are fortunate. Even though we know the bill will be high, we can keep the a/c on and pay the bill. There are people who can't afford their electric bill and will keep the a/c off. People have died from heat exhaustion for this very reason. And there are still those with no a/c. They do a summer fan drive every year for them. As much as I want to complain, I know we're fortunate.

And, Pakey, do be cafeful.

There but for the Grace of [intentionally left out so as not be get points for being religious] go I.

We are all fortunate if we are employed, have a roof over our heads, food on the table, a healthy family, and money left over to pay bills (and allow us to leave the A/C on all summer), let alone enjoy a vacation to Disney.

The sky is filling with dark clouds, I think a thunderstorm is in my future.

:scared1:

blue sky, bright sun, HOT

just like yesterday, just like tomorrow
