The Sky is: "(fill in the blank)"

A couple weeks ago, DH bought a lottery scratch off and won $200, well last night I see another one laying on the counter. I ask if he won anything.... he won another $100. :woohoo: Now, if he could only find the million dollar ticket........

Same *crap*, different day! This weather is killing me! Make it stop! Where is the sun?????? It has been looking like the end of the world every day :guilty::sad2:

Hey ya'll.
Its hot, bright and sunny right now. We had a bad thunderstorm come through about 2:00am. Those are the ones that scare me.
Hope you are all having a GREAT DAY!!

The sky is blue, the air is HOT and there is no change in sight.

Good news, though, we're going back to the beach for the 4th of July. I can't wait. Gonna take the new Jeep and DH's jeep and drive down the island. I have to learn to drive better in 4-wheel drive situations. As long as we're at the beach, though, I'm happy. :goodvibes

That sounds like a great holiday. You can't drive on the beaches around here.

Snappy, you must be on the east coast. I'm in NJ and I'm about to kill myself if I don't get some sunshine soon! :headache: :headache:   I think they said it's rained 32 of the last 40 days or some such nonsense. I truly can't seem to get out of this funk I've been in and it's definitely sunshine deprivation. This morning I woke up and the sun came out -- I was happy as a clam. After about 45 minutes -- dark clouds again. Guess where my mood headed?

Padre Island National Seashore (PINS for short), its a federal park. The only way to get to the end is with a 4-wheel drive vehicle. After about the 5th mile, its 4-wheel drive only. (I think its over 60 miles, but I could be wrong) The beaches we frequent in the Corpus Christi are able to be driven on. There are some that you can't, but they also tend to be crowded. The nice thing about the national seashore is that you can drive down and get away from alot of people. Seems safer with the kids running around. Before DH's back surgery, we had a camper and we would actually drive down the beach and camp in it. (we had a generator and carried in extra water) There was nothing better than sleeping listening to the waves, opening the door in the morning to the water. We had a few adventure with some storms, but every trip was memorable. I miss the camper. :sad1: But I don't miss the payment. :) Now we'll be staying in a hotel. Wish I was there right now. :goodvibes

New York during the week, south NJ on the weekends. Yes, we are in the same "boat" LOL! We have tickets to see Toby Keith at PNC Arts Center Thursday night and now they are predicting rain :sad2: At lease we are in the front section, so we will be covered. I feel sorry for people with lawn seats.

I've been wondering the same thing. It storms here pretty much every day as well. But we do have mostly sunshine through the day so that does help.

Oh that sounds wonderful! I love the beach, but have never slept on it. It's so great that you are making these memories for the little ones :wizard:

I do not believe there is a worse place to see a show during the rain than PNC. :rotfl:

I thought the Troopers already cracked down on tailgating and don't allow it anymore? I thought I saw something in the news a year or so ago, saying they would not be opening the gates too early and that troopers would patrol the lot and confiscate and beer, etc. (I thought I remember this after some 14 or 15 year old gotten taken to the hospital for drinking?)

Last August they didn't seem to be bothering with anyone before the show. After the show is a different story. We were only planning on a sandwich and a beer or two. That would be 4-5 hours before driving home.

Looks like it will be raining all weekend :sad2:

Sorry about the weather forecast snappy, but I'm sure you won't even notice once Toby gets on the stage. Hopefully the lightening will stay way too. :goodvibes
