Passive-Aggressive

OMG, if I hear it one more time. People call everyone they don't like or agree with passive-aggressive.

If they don't get your joke you are passive-aggressive.

If they don't agree with what you did in a particular situation you are passive-aggressive.

I think almost everyone on these boards took the same pop psychology course in college.

Then they go on to start threads to make fun of the person, how is that any different? :confused3

Personally, I miss political correctness :rotfl2:

I thought the single most over used term on the DIS was "ressie". (example: "I got my ressie for Cinderella's Royal Table!")

I'm sick of PC. It's permeated the entire country. You can't say or do anything because it's not PC? For cryin' out loud.

As far as making fun of people, if we can tout the gloriousness of one type of child, what's wrong with having fun wallowing in the happiness of our type of child?

Oohhhh...I get it. We of the average child are being persecuted because our children are average??? Well....that just ain't right.

My lawyer will be contacting your lawyer.:snooty:

Yes, passive-aggressive gets used a lot.

I think the funny thing is that we (the general we) have all probably had moments in our lives when we were PA, so to sit here and accuse others of being PA, is pretty hypocritical, IMO. But I guess you could say that about a lot of things in life.

Did you notice the :rotfl2: after I said politically correct?

Fred, I like you and think you are very funny. Why did you think I was talking about you and that thread??? I was thinking of another thread where the OP is still taking a beating over a situation. And no, I'm not going to mention it and give it more "publicity". So does that make me PA?

I think you just did.

Oh heck honey :flower3:, I'm just teasing and being silly, I don't mean "you". As for OP's getting beat up, I can't say some don't deserve a good slappin' around occasionally, but I'm with you that sometimes it just gets to be way too much. I try not to climb on that type of thing. **but will admit to getting sucked in sometimes :(**

I really have no idea what thread you mean, and won't ask. Hugs to the OP whoever you are. :)

I wasn't fast enough, but this was my thought as well! :rotfl:

Me too! "Bullying" gets trotted out on every thread these days.

As for "passive-aggressive" - I do think it tends to be overused on here. I think the behavior being referred to as "passive aggressive" on the thread I assume this one is responding to (the table saving thread) definitely fits the description more than most things that are called "passive-agressive" on here, so on that thread I don't think it is being over used at all. :rotfl:

I agree, passive aggressive is way overused. It doesn't even make sense since it's an oxymoron.
