The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

here is a question for anyone out there, do you guys take those towel animals home with you? or leave them there.

 :confused3

After a wonderful nights sleep we woke up refreshed and ready to hit the Magic Kingdom! Originally we were going to eat breakfast at the Crystal Palace at 8am but we canceled those plans, I think we really needed that extra hour of sleep. The only disappointment about not eating at the Crystal Palace that day is that I would miss out on duking it out with Focker Friend Mo (puggymom) over the Puffy French Toast. :rotfl:

We ended up leaving the hotel shortly after 8. We decided to drive the car to the TTC and then take the monorail to the park. I know many will say we should have taken the bus as it is more direct but we hate standing around in lines waiting for the buses. We(I) like to be in control of my own transportation and besides we had not been on the monorail since a scarring incident back in 1997 when we were almost trampled by a mob of people rushing to cram into a monorail car. I was hoping for a better experience this time around.

It did not take long to get to the Magic Kingdom parking lot and we were the second car parked in the Dopey section (AAA Diamond preferred parking). These spots are the closest to the front aside from the handicap spots. Needless to say we would not need to worry about finding our car amongst a sea of vehicles later that night thanks to our excellent spot. :thumbsup2

It was a quick walk over to the TTC where we waited to catch the monorail with only a handful of other people. The short walk was brutal though as it was pouring down rain.

Once at the park mom accompanied me through bag check while Alek and Erich took off ahead of us to scan their tickets. Once clear from the bag check where they concluded that I was not smuggling in any illegal materials Mom and I scanned our tickets and entered the park. We looked around for Alek and Erich as they should have already been through and could not spot them. I headed for shelter (the train station underpass) and continued to scan the crowd. I soon saw Alek and Erich approaching from the ticket scanners. It turns out that neither of their tickets were scanning properly. The CM eventually just waved them through. They joined Mom and I and the other couple dozen people who were cramming themselves under the train station waiting for the rope to drop. Now it felt crowded due to the fact that we were all trying to fit into such a small space but compared to a regular park opening the place was deserted. Soon the train pulled up which would usually signal the opening ceremony but due to the rain it did not occur. :guilty:

These photos were mixed in with the rest of the MK photos from the day, I believe Erich took pictures of them while we were waiting for rope drop.

Once the rope droped we took off for Tomorrowland. The first ride of the day was Space Mountain. We tried to convince Erich to ride but he once again refused and Mom did not want to ditch him so she stayed behind as well. Alek decided to take some pictures so here is a sampling of his photographic greatness. ;)

Space Mountain may not be very intense but it is fun hurtling along in the darkness. I would like to see it updated to be like the California one though, I have heard that it is much better.

Once off the ride we looked around the area nearby to try and spot Mom and Erich.

They were quickly found and then it was off to Buzz Lightyear! :woohoo:

We got on the ride no problem but as our car was about to enter the first room the ride stopped briefly. I took the opportunity to turn around and snap a picture of Alek and Erich in the car behind us.

They returned the favour by taking a picture of the back of our heads.

The ride was only stopped for about a minute or so and then we were off!

Here's my score, I did MUCH better on Buzz than I did on Toy Story Mania

Not fair Jo! I was up too, but I was catching up. :surfweb:

I've been laughing and enjoying all the videos and the TR Lessa. So glad it's not over yet.

I can't believe the score you got on BUZZ! I suck @ that one.

Wow, more rain? :rotfl: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Glad you were quickly able to get on the rides, and that you weren't hurt going to the monorail. :)

We didn't do Space Mtn. this year. :headache:

Morning Lessa I too am all caught up!!Winkers needs to take lessons from you!!:rotfl2: Are you listening Cherie !!:lmao:

Which is more intense SM or BTMRR? I'm ok on some roller coasters. I can do BTMRR because I don't feel like I'll fall out. I don't mind going fast or getting dizzy just the thought of falling out.:lmao:
