Today was Erich's day of the vacation, there were two things that he most wanted to do while in WDW. The first was to go to the water park and the second was to play mini-golf. Erich LOVES mini-golf, he had been dying to play all summer and had been disappointed several times. He wanted to play when we visited family in Toledo in June but that did not happen, he saw a really cool course in British Columbia in July but again he was denied. Well this day he would finally realize his dream and get to play a round of mini-golf.

Last year we played at the Winter-Summerland course so we decided to try out the Fantasia Gardens course this time around. It was not hard to get to from Typhoon Lagoon, we just drove straight until we got to the Dolphin and then we were there.

Well you know how it had been all rain rain rain the past few days well the rain had been replaced my HEAT! Oh my gosh it was SO hot on that course and there was no shade to speak of. Luckily there were some water fountains scattered around and many of the holes splash water at you.

Here is Alek using his powers to try and manipulate the movement of the ball.

This is the second to last hole, I could not for the life of me get my ball up that hill. I had no problem at any of the other holes just this one. It was beyond frustrating, I don't know what was wrong with me! I eventually gave up as it was rather embarrassing having the family behind us staring at me waiting for me to clear the hole. If it weren't for that hole I would have won the game, as it was Alek won by a hair.

As a nice treat we each got a free Disney golf ball for playing the course, no idea where mine is now though.

After we finished up the mini-golf game we decided to head back to the hotel for a breather. Alek wanted to shower and we all wanted to get something to drink. While Alek showered I went down to the food court to fill the mug and was greeted by a random Florida afternoon rain shower.

Luckily the rain was over quickly and we piled into the car on our way to Epcot.

First thing we did upon entering the parks was get our picture taken by photopass, Mom and Alek were being slow so Erich and I got one of just us and then the family got one together. Gotta fill up that photopass card!

Next stop was Club Cool where Alek and Erich decided to try a little game of Mixing the Drinks. Basically they filled the little cups up with four of the offerings and then downed them. Here are the results of their experiment.

After being disgusted by Alek and Erich we continued on, before we went very far we ran into another photopass opportunity! The photopass guys were pretty funny.

Alek snagged a picture of the photopass photographer taking our picture.

After our humorous photopass encounter we moved on to world showcase via Mexico. We had no intention of stopping until we reached the American pavilion but we saw Mexican Donald and we just had to stop. We had tried two times on our last trip to get our picture with him and were thawrted both times.

Now you are probably wondering why we were headed straight to the American pavilion and not stopping in the other pavilions. Well today was the day of Fockerfest 2008 and while I had decided that we would not be attending the dinner at Biergarten I still planned on meeting up with everybody beforehand at the designated meeting spot in front of the American pavilion. Well as we kept walking the sky kept getting darker and darker, it was looking very ominous and when we got to China we were stopped in our tracks by the bridge being up to allow the Illuminations floats through. The clouds looked like they were about to let go and pour on us any second and we had no idea how long the bridge was going to be up so we made the decision to run for shelter in the China pavilion. We got inside not a moment too soon. Due to the rain and the bridge I pretty much gave up on the idea of seeing all the Fockers before their dinner started.

I'm still sorry we didn't have more of a chance to talk, but it turned into such a weird weather situation so suddenly!

Love the Club Cool video - "This is so diappointing." You guys are so much fun! And I love your World Showcase pics. The World Showcase is definitely my favorite part of Disney. No matter how many times you're there you never see it all. Even in those few pictures you posted there were things I haven't seen before!
