We made it inside just in time, it started to pour almost as soon as we stepped through the door and boy was it coming down!
Luckily for us there was plenty going on inside, the Chinese acrobats were performing so we wandered over to watch them. I took video and will post that separately. They were very talented and I really enjoyed watching their performance. Here are a couple fuzzy photos that one of the boys took.
After their show we went in to see the movie "Reflections of China" It was very good, we all enjoyed it.
It was still raining when the movie ended so we wandered around the gift store, shopping, browsing and taking pictures.
Alek, Erich and I each got one of these lucky cats. I eventually decided on the purple one, they were all so cute though!
Shopping done it had slowed to a trickling rain. I had pretty much given up on seeing the Fockers though as it was past our meeting time and I figured they would all be at the restaurant by now. Since I had no time constraints anymore we went in to check out the museum exhibit where they had replicas of the famous terra cotta warriors.
We left China after that and continued on our explorations. Alek and Erich decided to take a break and play the drums in the African Outpost.
Moving on to Germany
When I wandered into the square what should I spy but some Fockers! In this picture you can just make out LL and what looks to be T's hubby back by the entrance to Biergarten. Of course I did not notice the Fockers yet when this was getting taken. I noticed them as I walked closer.
The first person I saw was Jo as she was facing out into the square. I walked up and surprised them all. Rounds of hugs were given out, it all happened so quickly and was such a blur. I remember that Jo's daughter Jess was there holding V's son Leo, both as cute as can be. Ellie, Jo's other daughter shyly came up to me and gave me an English flag pin that they had brought for everybody. I also got a pin from somebody else that had been specially made for the occasion, sorry I don't remember who! I'll have to take a picture of it when I get home. After all the hello's everybody quickly asked where the brothers were, they were in hot demand. I glanced around the square and spotted them and called them over. Alek and Erich came over waving their arms in the air yelling out causing everybody to laugh. Soon after that we parted though as they were called into dinner. Before leaving we ran into CE and her hubby who were running in from behind. It was great getting to say a quick hello seeing as how I didn't think I would get to see anybody at all due to the rain and the bridge delay.
We wandered around a bit more in Germany after that browsing in the stores and taking lots of pictures.
