The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

After our Focker encounter in Germany we continued our exploration of World Showcase, next up was Italy. All we did was browse the shops here and I indulged in a cannoli so here are some pictures.

Next we wandered over to the American pavilion where we decided to catch the next show of the American Adventure, boy was that a mistake, what a snorefest! I am usually really interested in history but this show was just too long and needed serious updating and well it just was not very good. Not to mention the CM who lead everybody to the show was really rude and was barking at all the guests.

Next up Japan, Alek and Erich took a LOT of pictures of all the various merchandise but this was the most unusual thing they found in there, they told me it is a massager???? You may want to avert your eyes if you are easily offended....

While they were taking pictures of all the anime and Speedracer stuff I was taking more scenic photos and also attempting to locate a washroom. Let me just say that the Japan bathroom was disgusting! It looked like it had not been cleaned in days, it was dimly lit adding to the dirty feel and there were only two stalls. If you need a potty break and you are in Japan I suggest heading next door to the American pavilion, they have much bigger, nicer and cleaner facilities.

Moving on to Morocco

I spotted this lovely outfit that I thought would be perfect for Alek

We were all starting to get hungry so we decided it was about time to grab dinner. Mom wanted food from the Tangerine Cafe so she went in and grabbed that. The rest of us are a bit picker so I suggested we go to France and get something from the bakery there like a sandwich. Well Erich didn't like anything they had there so we decided to head back to the ever so exotic Liberty Inn for the traditional cheeseburger dinner.

The service was SLOW at the Liberty Inn, not sure why as there were barely any customers in there. While placing my order I saw a clearly intoxicated guy come wandering in dressed in a mexican poncho and sombrero. He looked quite hilarious, little did I know that we would be encountering him again that night.....

After dinner we decided to just grab a spot for Illuminations and relax, I had a perfect spot in mind in the Italy pavilion, I highly recommend watching from here.

Mom and I wanted ice cream, she wanted a twist ice cream though so she sent me all the way over to the African Outpost to get it since they only had vanilla at the stand that was near us. Now it didn't seem that far of a walk on the way there but on the way back it felt like it took forever as Mom's ice cream melted all over my hand, it was a complete mess! After handing off the half melted cone to Mom I went to wash my hands off and to take some pictures.

Soon Illuminations started, it was not the full show however as the globe was out for refurbishment.

The show over it was time to leave, oh my gosh, you never realize how huge Epcot is until you have to make the walk to the exit from the very back of the park. We were so tired and it just seemed to take forever. The viewing spot in Italy was great but I can definitely see the benefit of watching from Mexico or Canada, much shorter exit walk! lol

We stopped for a photopass pic before leaving

After we left the park and were walking towards our car we were joined by mister drunk sombrero guy and a bunch of his equally drunk friends also all dressed in costume. They were clearly having fun that night. Mom made friends with the sober guy in the group while Mr Sombrero attempted to talk to us, it was hilarious. He was asking us where we were from, what were we doing, where are we going, etc. He didn't understand any of our answers though, he was totally confused. His friends came and took him away eventually, if they hadn't he probably would have followed us all the way to the car and tried to get in with us. lol

Back at the hotel we readied ourselves for bed and performed our nightly ritual of reviewing the days pictures and videos. I also noticed that the rash on my legs had gotten much worse. Would it never go away!?

No pictures of crazy drunk guy:confused3 ;)

I love oall the pictures you take, but that massager:eek:

We have seen that massager.... lovely huh? Leave it to your brothers to find it!

LOVE your pics of Italy, so pretty in the twilight (no references were intended lol).

Trust your brothers :rotfl2:

After handing off the half melted cone to Mom I went to wash my hands off and to take some pictures.
You are a good daughter and you do take gorgeous photos :goodvibes

if they hadn't he probably would have followed us all the way to the car and tried to get in with us. lol

Oh no, do you ever find out what caused it?

The one thing lessa forgot to mention was how many bats you could see if you looked up when we were leaving :S like tons of them... popcorn::

Oh yeah, there were millions of bats flying around the top of Spaceship Earth that night. It is a good thing they were not closer or I would have freaked. In fact I never would have noticed them if Alek had not pointed them out. :headache:

Happy New Year Lessa! Gret updates. It must have been so fun getting to see everyone by surprise! And sorry you didn't like the American Adventure. It's one of my favorite things at Epcot, I love the montage at the end. The cheesiness of the song cracks me up and always reminds me bro and I of the "America" song from Team America

Your pictures of Italy at night are gorgeous! I'm sorry you didn't get any pictures of Senor Sombrero, he sounds like a blast...I am glad that you didn't get any pictures of the bats though, that kind of freaks me out! Better a bat than another rat though, right?

It was definitely funny seeing everybody by "surprise".

Perhaps The American Adventure wouldn't have been so bad (in my opinion) if it was shorter, it just seemed to drag. :confused3

 Senor Sombrero was certainly hilarious.

Hmm I don't know, the rat really grossed me out but I had little to no reaction to it in the moment. I'm pretty sure that if there was a bat anywhere near me let alone on my leg I would have run screaming from the park. :rotfl:

Massager? Ah, yeah!!:lmao:
Drunk guy.:lmao:
And I looked really quick at the angel statue in the garden, I thought at first she was making a gesture.:rolleyes1

Only you can turn out reports like this!! GREAT WORK!!:lmao: :l
