Could it be that the randomizer puts different prizes in different rooms for the day ??

I wish they would put a dream room on my magic pin. :) I so wanted one.

I also think they should have put TDM as the prize from the sword in the stone pin.

If they did Cat everyone would ride the rides all the time. I know i would>:cool1: and think of all the mules that would be on the rides to. It would be like a ride-a-thon everyday.

Just because... Yesterday I did a few tests.

First I didnt buy that whole "you have to move theory". Well I did 4 in a row without moving and all were duds. So I think this might actually be true. I know its not enough to prove it for sure, but I am now a believer

Then I did try to do the same room to see if I could get the same results. I did not.

I thought I could get rid of both myths, but looks like the not moving one has some merit.

OK, here is my take on this. Two possibilities, both as likely as the other.

Theorum 1:
It is an algorithm, and it is location specific.

Lets say you have a room that is 3 squares by 3 squares (a 9 block grid)

the algorithm would read as follows:

Zone 1: no winner, ever
Zone 2: winner at specific time
Zone 3: no winner, ever
Zone 4: no winner, ever
Zone 5: winner at specific time
Zone 6: winner at specific time
Zone 7: no winner, ever
Zone 8: winner at specific time
Zone 9: no winner, ever

As for the spots which are winners, the algorithm would read as follows

time XX:XX:01 - wins Buried pin
Time XX:XX:02 - no winner
time XX:XX:03 - wins Tiki fountain
time XX:XX:04 - no winner
etc etc
there is probably a 10 minute space in the algorithm with 3/4 of the time being no winner, which means while using the pin, you can walk over the same "winning" spot several times and not win, but then walk over it again and win.
As for the not moving thing, I am sure you must be moving in order to register the "tick" on the spot. If you do not move, the spot is stuck on the non-winning tick. Like pushing a button each time to see if you are a winner, not moving does not push the button, at all, not even the first time.

I have consistently won on the same spots, which leads me to this conclusion.

Theorum 2:
The other possibility is that, each spot, runs a randomizer when you walk on it (it would take only a millisecond to run), like rolling a set of dice. The randomizer then has only 2 possible choice, win or not win, but not win outweighs win by a margin of, say, 5 to 1. So, you would have a 5 to 1 chance of winning each time you walked over a spot capable of giving you a win. Once you have won, it then runs a randomizer to see which prize you will win.

Seems very logical that might be the way it works.

I agree with doc's theory, and I also tested out something with my
main account and a mule in Castle Fourcourt(sp?) Instance North-North-East
I think. I walked over a certain spot right under the FantasyLand Book and
got 5,000 credits on my main account. I did the same with my mule and
got nothing. So it's got to be one of the theories that doc presented us...

I think is solely has to do with that good ol' fashioned Disney Magic! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Or maybe those theories above... ;)

Someone has also told me, "you won't win unless your in the jungle, because there isn't good land......." So I went to adventureland and..... :confused3 . Haha Seems like land doesn't make a difference either. ;)

Ok well I tested out Castle Forecourt and got 0 prizes out of 5 tries. Tested
out Esplanade and got 0 prizes out of 5 tries. Tested out Central Plaza
and got 1 prize out of 5 tries. Treasure Detector Magic is really painful..

i think VMK should really give ANY thing in the game for TDM prizes.

it would be ALOT more fun and exciting. ( not saying it isn't exciting right now. I love it )

And it should give at least something instead of always giving nothing! I just
tested out Main Street and got 0 out of 5 tries. :headache:

So that's 1 out of 20(my previous post) which is a 5% chance of getting something.

Using my "spot theory" I win at least 8 out of 10 times

oh, i have a tip. well it works most of the time, i dont know if this helps though. I usually do it in the Tiki Room near the shack.
