The Seattle Princesses Have No Shame - June 2012 (Updated 8/5!!)

The cast member approached us.

"Would you guys like to go on a scavenger hunt?"

Well, sure.

I like scavenger hunts.

"It'll take about ten minutes, and then we'll ask you some questions about it."

The Friend and I agreed, and we were given a map of Adventureland from above.

The map had markers on it where we were supposed to go, and at each marker was a letter. When we had found all the letters, we were to unscramble the letters to make a word.

It was simple enough, and it took us about five minutes. It might have taken longer if we had had kids or were not as familiar with Adventureland as we were, but we found it to be too easy, although we did have fun.

I wonder if this was testing for some sort of interactive queue for Pirates?

After we came back, another CM asked us a few questions about it.

"Thank you for taking the time to do that. I have something for you."

She reached in to her pocket and pulled out two Fast Passes that were good for any ride with a Fast Pass at the Magic Kingdom and didn't expire until Friday! Score!

I was obviously ecstatic to be given such a thing.

Of course, then the big question was what would we use these magical Fast Passes for and when would be the best time to use them?

We decided to hold on to them for now, and maybe use them that evening when all the other Fast Passes had been distributed.

After that rewarding detour, we boarded a boat and sailed to the Caribbean.

I think this is actually one of the better pictures I've taken on this ride.

Last year, I made us watch it, and I got chosen to go onstage at the end to get a scroll. I was thrilled. (wait, how old am I again?)

We wanted to take a journey to space after that, so we made the trek across the park to Tomorrowland.

As we were walking on the bridge to Tomorrowland, I heard a little boy talking to his dad.

"Does this really go to space?"

It was adorable, and reminded me of the time I went in 2004, and my mom and I were in line for Mission: Space and we heard this kid saying, "I forgot, does this really go to the moon?"

My mom and I still quote that kid to this day. We're cool.

But we when we arrived in Tomorrowland, Space Mountain was down.

You know what that means, right?

To the TTA!

I take a picture like this almost every time I go on the TTA. It's obligatory at this point.

Soon we approached the whole reason we came on the TTA.

Space Mountain with the lights on!

So cool.

When I was here last December, I was on the TTA, not knowing Space Mountain was down, and it was the first time I had seen it with the lights on. And there was this awesome kid in the car behind me who was as thrilled as I was.

He was practically yelling, "Do you guys realize how cool this is? This is like a once in a life time opportunity!"

It was adorable, and I was like, if I ever have kids, I hope they are as enthusiastic about the TTA and Space Mountain with the lights on as this kid.

Because seriously.

Anyway, because it was that cool, The Friend and I decided to ride it again. Actually, it may have been more like me insisting The Friend and I ride it again, I'm not sure she was as excited as I was.

The Friend reminded me that we were able to get more Fast Passes now, so we picked some up for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Then we came across a dilemma. The lines were starting to get pretty long, we still had about an hour and a half before lunch, Space Mountain was still down, and while we had those magical Fast Passes, we didn't want to use them quite yet, so what were we to do?

Coming up next: Wait, who is this less awkward for?

The Run Disney FB page just posted the Tinkerbell 2013 participant shirt design. I think it is really cute.

Your princess tiara looks very much like one I caught at a Mardi Gras parade last year. Unfortunately, it was broken when I caught it - all the sequins had come unglued from the felt. Yours looks to be a bit higher quality. (Of course, it wouldn't take much to be "higher quality" than most of the cheap stuff that gets thrown off Mardi Gras floats, with some exceptions. Some krewes throw some really cool stuff!)

The scavenger hunt sounds cool. Too bad it was SOOO easy for you though!

I like seeing Space Mountain with the lights on. One time I got evacuated off Space Mountain. It was pretty cool. The only bum thing about it was that we had just left the part where you get on the ride. It would have been much cooler to have been deeper into the ride. We had to wait in the vehicle until a CM came to assist us out of the vehicle and then walk as a group out of the ride area. We (or anyone else on the ride) were never in any danger that I'm aware of - that would NOT have been cool.

This is such a fun trip so far!

That is so rad that you got those fastpasses!! I love when things like that happen:goodvibes

Awwwwh I love the cute things little kids say in line like about going into space.
It's even better when the parents play along!

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip :thumbsup2
