Does anyone know how the crowds have been over at the seas at epcot since the reopening of the old "sea cabs"??? Also has anyone gone on it yet?? how is it?? Last time i was down they were testing it off and on and everyone kept bragging about how wonderful the special effects were. Thanks!

We went to Epcot the day before Thanksgiving and the park itself was relatively crowded. The Living Seas wasn't too bad (wait time for Turtle Talk was about 15 mins), but the line for the Nemo ride was about 40 mins.

Have to be honest, we were disappointed in the ride. DD8 thought it was "ok", and DS11 only replied that he was happy to be able to sit down after standing in line for 40 mins. The "special effects" that people are referring to come at the end of the ride and they are really not that amazing.

Bottom line, my husband and I thought that so much more could have been done with this ride and felt that it really had been a waste to wait in line for 40 mins. We weren't even that impressed with the theming while waiting for the ride. If the wait is 10 mins or less, I'd say to go, but anything more than that and I wouldn't waste your time.

Well, it's like this. It's cute, but once was enough. It'll be a big hit with the under 5 set.

I went on the Nemo ride in mid-afternoon of Sun. Nov. 26, and I walked right on. It's a cute ride with some great effects especially near the end. It wouldn't be a high priority in the future if there's a long line. I'd skip it without regret.

I thought it was ok. It is cute, but not something that I would rush to do again. I would not ride if there was a long wait.

My thoughts exactly. Thanksgiving Day, big crowds, the line was long, but moved very quickly. We were on in 20-30 mins and line was well down sidewalk. Loads quickly. My DD8 enjoyed it, I, however, was underwhelmed.

I agree with everyone, it was Ok, cute for one ride. I wouldn't wait in a long line, and wouldn't do it twice in one trip.

I thought it was very cute. DDs 7 and 5 loved it, but DD2 was very afraid.

I liked it, but it wasn't anything incredible. I did enjoy the area where the characters appear in the actual fish tanks.

As others have said--cute, but more could have been done with it. Go in the evening if possible. We were there T-giving week, and the lines were 40 mins-1 hour during the late morning, early afternoon. We went back around 7 p.m. and walked on.

We were there on Friday and walked on. I'm not sure much of anybody rides it twice. At the end, my husband and I just looked at each other and said, "That's it?" Preschoolers might enjoy it.

That's EXACTLY what we said. It was a walk-on when we rode it - I'm a huge Disney-freak, as I think most of us are, and certainly enjoy those Disney rides that really aren't much of a "ride," but I was pretty disappointed in this one. I don't think I'll be doing it again.

I thought it was ok. I was a little upset they had not fixed the one black window that showed the shark chase. If you don't have little ones I would suggest you just come into the living seas from the store side.

I rode it the day after Thanksgiving.
The wait for it in the morning was over an hour I think.
We waited later and tried it.
There was a line, but it constantly moved so we weren't "waiting" in line.
The queue for it is tremendously long.
We couldn't believe how many rooms you had to walk through.
I was glad I didn't have to stand in a line to ride it.
We rode it once and that was enough for one trip.
It was cute.
Although I did like the Crush part.
The best part was at the end, when we got off....the dolphins and manatees were out playing.

We just got back last night and I totally agree with everyone. Even my 2 1/2 yo didn't seem to care for it. I couldn't even sit here and tell you what the scenes were or anything. To me, it didn't even follow the story (or maybe it did) I just don't know. That's how impressed I was. Now, the Nemo Musical in AK was outstanding!!!! My whole family loved it!!! Don't miss that one!!!

I just got back Wednesday and there was no wait. It said five minutes on the thing. If there's a wait, you're not missing much. A good way to pass time if you're waiting for a fastpass or something.

It's a cute little ride. It's a nice addition for the younger set, especially considering that the majority of Epcot's attractions are geared towards older kids or adults.I think more could have been done with it though. It's slightly above a Fantasyland dark ride and with those expectations its a nice little ride and is certainly better than the old sea cab ride or no ride at all. I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for it though. I don't know if they frown on this or not, but if the line is long, at least now you can enter the rest of the pavilion now through the automatic doors at the exit area.

That said, for a truly outstanding Nemo themed attraction, check out the new Finding Nemo-The Musical at AK. It is, imho, the best live show on property at this point. It is simply spectacular and if it were longer and had a few more extravagant sets, it could easily be transplanted to Broadway, it is that well done. The performers do an excellent job with this one and have great NEW songs (afterall, Nemo, the movie, wasn't a musical, but you might have wished it was after seeing the show), costumes and material to work with.

Yup have to agree with everyone else...it was OK..my girls liked it though (5,4,1) and had us ride it 3 times...once one day and 2x in a row the next..lol. It was just walk on so no biggie. One time we got stuck for 5-10 minutes towards the end where Crush and Squirt sing "the big blue sea'' so then that was stuck in our heads for the rest of the vacation..lol

Oh, gosh, I loved this ride and I am NOT the sort who loves cute.

I think the technology is super, including the scary fish that jumps right out at you (when its working).

Thrill ride? Hardly. Fun ride? You bet. I rode it twice in a row - but I don't stand in lines more than 10 minutes for any ride, ever.

On the other hand I'm quite sure my 17-year old son will never ride it again! :)

walked right on the ride this past week nov 27- dec 3 kids loved it geared towards the young ones only thing was didnt see any real fish in the tanks when we rode it
