If I remember correctly they are doing 2 new things with Nemo one of them is this: "Finding Nemo - The Musical" replaces "Tarzan Rocks" and is expected to open late 2006. Thirty minute stage show combines puppetry with special effects and eatures the stars of "Finding Nemo."
They also are having a Clamobile ride at the Living Seas at Epcot which I think is Nemo themed and will open in the Fall of 2006.
Right now the "Living Seas" is "partially open" during the major re-hab.
Nemo and friends are prominently featured in many of the exhibits already.
One of the best new attractions going on right now in Epcot is "Turtle Talk with Crush". Crush (the sea turtle "dude" from the Nemo film) interacts with the live theater audience. Its GREAT for all ages, and is located inside the "Living Seas" pavilion.
The second phase of the attraction (which will become the 'first phase' once it's fully up and running) is a ride through the pavilion in a clam (the Clam-mobile as lady-hlh puts it ), giving you a view of the aquarium, with some very special features along the way.
It's the 'very special features' that are currently holding up the works. Some elements are just proving to be a bit bothersome, but it sounds like they'll be pretty amazing once they're up and running.
Looks like we'll miss Nemo this trip, but DD 2 will be so excited to go back in December. She loves Nemo and I mean loves. Luckily we have two pairs of Nemo pajamas so we can still wear one while the other is in the wash.
We didn't get to see Crush last time, but we'll have to make it a point to hit it on our trip this month.
I'm really looking forward to the Nemo stuff at Epcot, but I really wish that they didn't take Tarzan away from Animal Kingdom. I thought Tarzan fits better with the Animal Kingdom. JMO. I am looking forward to both new attractions though.
two years ago (Dec '04) we did Turtle Talk and it was the BEST show ever! It was brand new and we walked right in. This Dec '05, it was PACKED!! A huge line was formed and we opted not to wait the 50m wait time... the most for any attraction during our whole trip.
It is a great show and we're going to try to go again this upcoming Dec. I'd rather skip HIStA and spend that extra time waiting for Crush.

Wow, we've never seen this one yet and I was kind of thinking we might skip it. I guess I just don't get it from what I understand the "show" is, but maybe I should add this to the new things we want to try this time.
WDW and DL are both getting the Nemo ride. At Epcot they are re-using the ride portion of the Living seas. At DL they are bringing back the submarines. (guess which one sounds cooler?) any way, as you look through the glass into the water, swiming with real fish will be some type of DLP screens and projections that will allow Nemo and friends to be with the real fish.

DEFINITELY on the "to do" list!!
I loved it as much as the kids!
It's Crush (and now, Dory) talking with the kids in "real time".
Wish they would make it a Fastpass attraction, though, it's VERY popular!
