The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure! COMPLETE 4/12

Those pictures of the decks during the rain look just like the ones I took during our Sailaway Party. In the middle of it, it started to rain. The performers hung in there as long as they could, but finally it was a downpour, complete with LOUD thunder and lightning! We took cover and watched everyone else run away. There were a couple of inches of water on the deck by the end. It's amazing how fast that water builds up!

It is crazy! I guess with nowhere to drain it just builds up super fast.
I love your walking tour of the ship. It definitely takes me back....

sorry about the rain...AGAIN.

I know. :sad2: Any bets on if it rains on departure day?

True but when it rains on a cruise it is such a bummer! It is not like you can keep on playing like at WDW. You are not allowed in the water and such when a big storm like that comes through for safety reasons so while there is lots to do on the ship you can't help but looking longingly at Castaway Cay.
gotcha:thumbsup2

Since we were rained off the island and pool time was also a no-go we decided to head back to the room and finish up our packing so we wouldn't have to worry about it later that night.

We just sort of lounged around the room packing slowly and watching Lilo and Stitch and part of Cinderella.

Soon pretty much everything was packed. The only thing left to pack were the clothes we would be wearing to dinner that night. So all dressed for the evening we headed down to the Walt Disney Theatre for the last show of the trip, "Remember the Magic:A Final Farewell".

This show works in conjunction with the show they put on on your first night. The same "families" from the first show that were arriving for their cruise are not getting ready to leave and remembering their trip. First they focused on the married couple and "the romance". Well you know what romance means, that's right! Time for the princesses to come out!

Poor Snow White. My camera was not liking her this night and every picture of her she is either blurry or blocked by somebody.

After the princesses sang and danced around the stage they brought out the ventriloquist and the hypnotist that had performed evening shows down in the club on the second half of the trip.

D14262.jpg

The hypnotist did a mini-version of the big show he had done a few nights before. Some of the same people tried to go up on stage but he wanted new people.

This part of the show was only okay, I could have done without it.

Then out came Mickey and Minnie and the gang to interact with the "little boy" from the first show.

Overall I liked the show and it makes you a little misty, especially when they show a slideshow from the cruise. They have pictures of guests from the cruise that they put up in a montage. Mom and I didn't make it on it but I did recognize some of the people such as my hot tub buddies.

We sadly left the theatre after our last show but it was time to cheer up as I had some final character pictures to get!

I was once again first in line for Captain Mickey!

Then I had to wait in a short line for Minnie

Mom was enamored with Minnie's shoes. I think she wanted a pair just like them. ;)

Thanks! We were eating in Parrot Cay that night so I thought it was appropriate. I had to throw it out soon after the trip though as the zipper had corroded and wouldn't zip anymore. I tried everything to fix it too. :sad2:

What a shame about the rain Lessa and your Mom sure does look fed up in the photo of her gazing out of the port hole :sad2:

Sounds as though the show was a nice way to end your cruise :goodvibes

It was a nice way to end the cruise and I really liked how they made up that slideshow to personalize the show.

the only way that last days dont stink is when it is your last day at home before you leave to go to disney world

Wow, you did have a lot or rain!

Nice tour of the ship and Castaway Cay. Makes me look forward to going with my niece. Cruising doesn't appeal to me but your trip report made it much more appealing. I'm looking at a 3 or 4 day with niece. Need to see if she wants more boat time or park time.

I hope you enjoy your cruise, you never know, you might end up loving it! Mom and I were originally not sure about cruising but we loved it!

I think the last night on a cruise is worse than the last night at the parks for some reason....

I think it is because the cruise ship makes the last night extra sappy reinforcing the fact that you are about to leave. Also the ship is such a small environment and so you get to know several of your fellow cruisers so you are not just leaving vacation but also the people you got to know over the week.

No!! Not the last night! :sad2:

I can't believe it's been about 10 months since we met and this journey started! It's been awesome to read all about it. I hope when I visit TO this year (not sure when yet) we can meet again!
