The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure! COMPLETE 4/12

The sky kept getting darker and darker and so Mom and I made the very sad decision to pack our stuff up and head back to the ship. It was only about 1 in the afternoon.

On the way back to the ship we stopped at the gift shop and did some browsing. I almost bought a nice big Castaway Cay beach towel but decided against it. What is nice about Castaway Cay is that you don't need to bring and cash or credit cards off the ship as anything you buy on the island is charged to your shipboard account with your key card.

The trek back to the ship continued, Mom and I were so sad that our Castaway Cay day was getting cut short but how typical for us.

Just look at that sky!

The wind continued to pick up and was really whipping the tress about as the clouds grew closer and closer.

The bad weather did create some really cool shots though! Who needs CGI when you have a nice Caribbean storm doing it for you! It was really creepy, I could just imagine Davy Jones emerging from the ship at any minute.

Oh no, not rain on your CC day!!! I can't believe just how many rain storms you and your mom get caught in...it's crazy!

I'm glad that you were able to enjoy your time on the island though. I would have been a little surprised to see a kitty on the island as well, though I'm glad you were nice enough to pet it a little!

Love your pics of the Flying Dutchman it looks great!!!! Stinks that your CC day was cloudy than rainy but those are great pics!! Your TR is making me think there should be a cruise in my future planning I thank you but my DH may not be so happy

I know, it is ridiculous! I tell you, somebody must have placed some sort of rain curse on us. Every stinking Disney vacation, rain, rain and more rain!

Just finished your last updates! Too bad your CC day was cut short. That weather looks nasty! Before the clouds came, it looked like the perfect day. I want to be in that hammock right now! I'm glad you saved the lady from the scarey beast!

It was definitely disappointing to get rained out but on the bright side our next cruise has two stops at Castaway Cay so that should more than make up for it!

The same thing happened on my first Disney Cruise. We arrived early and would be leaving about 4:00, because there was going to be a storm, but when wee got there they said that we would be leaving at 5:00 as the weather was so nice. Funny thing is at 4:00 the heavens opened up and it was raining so hard they actually brought a tram load of people right to the ship.

On my second cruse it rained in a complete circle around the island well not a drop touched it.

On my last one it rained for about 30 minutes in the morning. A couple of people on the walking/kayak tour I was on asked for their excursion tickets back so they could try and get a refund from Guest Services.
